Cathe,

I have to thank you. I just got home from a ski trip. I have not skied in 9 years and I only skied twice before that and NOT well, I might add.

Well, let me tell you, I was great!! I have to attribute it to my strong legs and that is due to YOU!! I kept thinking as I was going down those Blue Trails "Boy, balance and strength has alot to do with this skiing thing".

Thanks for giving us the tools to better ourselves and make us strong people who enjoy life more! You are the greatest!!

By the way, my 9 year old son (who knows all about you) wants me to ask you a question for him: Which one of your videos do you enjoy doing the most? Thanks Sharon

Sharon, I am going to go skiing for the first time ever on Sunday. Everyone keeps telling me I will be sore the next day. Were you? I consider myself to be advanced and expect I will be able to hang just fine while skiing. Note: that doesn't mean I think I will be great at it, but that my strength and balance won't be the problem! But will I feel sore the next day? Not sure which I want the answer to be!

Since I had not been in 9 years I was expecting alot of soreness. I really did not experience much. My knees hurt a little WHILE I was skiing the 1st day in the morning and my thighs hurt a little in the afternoon. That evening and next day my calves were a little sore. Like if you haven't stepped in a while and workout, how you feel the next day.

As I improved and loosened up my knees and thighs didn't hurt while I was skiing. It seems like the harder you try the more your body feels it. So try to be loose.

Bottom line is NO, I was not very sore at all. Being in shape makes a huge difference. Hope you have a great time!! Sharon

Back from the ski trip. I didn't care much for skiing. I wasn't particularly good at it, and I kept worrying that I might injure myself--and then wouldn't be able to work out, which I care very much for! My left forearm is sore and that is it(??). But maybe if I did more skiing and less standing around avoiding it, I might have felt it more. Bottom line for me was that it was too expensive to be worth it. Better off with more videos! Jeanne

Jeanne,

I hear most people do not like skiing the first time. I DO know exactly what you mean about injuring yourself and not being able to workout. That is why I am afraid to rollerblade!!!

Hope you at least enjoyed the snow!! Sharon
