Wow! Couldn't believe the bike ride was so easy going to Bristol! It was our first ride of the season and it's usually tough for me! I guess the Cathe workouts have helped my endurance and my leg strength (have a couple of tough hills - only a couple!). It seemed so easy, I couldn't believe I could possibly be getting any kind of cardio benefit at all even as I kept increasing the gear level.
Anyway, the ride back was much harder! We were riding into the wind on the way home. Mind you, the bike path here runs right along the water most of the way. We had such a tough headwind when we hit the halfway mark we could barely clock at 8.5 mph!
Boy, did I feel like I was getting my workout then!
So, a successful and fun ride! It started out sunny and by the time we got home, it was very cloudy and, of course, windy! It feels good!
