Biceps question

Hi all!

I had a question concerning strengthening my biceps. I have no problem at all with any other body part, but I really struggle on biceps. My forearms become so engorged I always have to take a break. I've tried doing the forearm exercises on SH, but they haven't helped either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I don't have an answer to this because I have the same problem! I find I have to lighten up on my weight when I tackle biceps. I'd really be interested in this, too. I have always had limited upper body strength so maybe this has something to do with it??

The way you explained your problem sounds exactly like what I went through, so I'll tell you how I've increased my bicep strength to the point I can smile while doing "crazy 8's."

Dumbbells! No matter which Cathe video I did for a 9 week period, I substituted dumbbells for all barbell work, even the crazy 8', and did whatever biceps exercise she did with dumbbells, and slowly but surely, I was increasing my weight from 2-8#db, to 2-10#db, then I moved to 2-12#db, and finally to 2-15#db and from there I picked back up on working with my barbell, and it was a snap! I could see and feel my biceps and forearms getting stronger week by week.
It worked for me, maybe it will work for you! :)
