BFL weekend 11/10 & 11/11

Good morning to everybody! Happy weekend. ENJOY IT!!!!!!!

We pretty much have NOTHING on our calendar. NOTHING! I can't remember the last time that has happened! LOL I'll enjoy it. I think it will call for laundry today, and tomorrow I will probably spend an hour or so in the kitchen, getting food prepped for next week.

HALFWAY thru this challenge! I can't believe that 6 weeks have come and gone. The longest I've followed any rotation (Cathe's) was 4 weeks, and even THEN was pushing my attention span! LOL

I kicked off the weekend with a cardio workout. I was throwing around so many ideas last night, because I wasn't sure what I'd be in the mood for. I decided to switch things up from running. Here's what I did:

****LIC cardio premix
****LIC all-4 blast add-on
****B&G abs
****GS Chest Push ups (all on toes, and only took a longer break after the round of 12)

I added the push ups on, because this was the week with only 1 upper body workout, so I wanted to add a bit extra!!! FELT GREAT and set the tone for the day!

OK...I'm in need of a shower, badly! LOL BBL

Hi and Good Morning to you all,

Hi Gayle!: Glad to see someone else still gets up early even on the weekends. I can't sleep past six even on a day off. I usually get up at 5am so getting an extra hour is like way too much sleep for me.

I planned on getting in my workout early but my friend stayed over last night and we have been just sitting around talking and drinking coffee. I managed to get in a shower, dishes and a load of laundry. I still have the 1st bath to paint today. I prepared the walls yesterday but had a few dents that needed to be filled. Need to sand, wipe off any dust and then paint. Shouldn't take too long.

I will be getting in both workouts today! I missed my SH legs and abs yesterday because I just got too busy. Then I was exhausted by last night to do anything more.

C&W abs
iTread 40min #23.

This ought to get me back on track huh?! :D

I am having my snack right now apple w/cottage cheese so I better go and finish up and get moving onto that bathroom before DH wakes up.

Hey, Heidi! I'm like you! Even without my alarm set on the weekend, my internal clock goes off early! lol

Your workout sounds GREAT! ENJOY IT! I ended up not buying anything new at iTrain last night, lol...still trying to decide which 6 workouts to get! I was thinking that I'd like an iTread or iCycle that had lower body sculpting to it. Do you know if there is anything like that? I have the Tread n Tush, maybe that fits the bill? I'll have to try it out next week maybe!

How are you ladies planning on spending your Free Day tomorrow?
For me, I will be sleeping in (even if it IS just till 6am, lol). I MAY do Yee's Power Yoga for Total Body, but that's going to depend on what time I and the boys get up (I can't concentrate too much with them wandering around the house, especially with yoga). For meals, I'm making a small dish of lasagna and an apple pie. I'm also looking forward to my trail mix that my mom brought me! YUMMY!

But you know what? I'm not really CRAVING anything. Not really. That's a GOOD thing, right? lol

Good Morning!! :)

Up bright and early this morning and got my HIIT out of the way. I am really considering starting, Couch-to-5K Running Plan - Has anyone done this? I really feel at times that I am pushing too hard (which I know I need to do), but I don't want to flare my knee up again! I don't want to do too much too soon, ya know?

Planned on hitting Power (Heated) Yoga this morning right after the gym, but of course I forgot all my money/credit card at home! It's a 1 1/2 class (drove all the way there too :(), I think it would be great to stretch out this "old" body this week, I'm sore! :) They have another class tonight later, but I will probably decide to go tomorrow morning. I also have Yoga DVD's here at home that I can always pop in, but I would rather go to a "live" class.

Fool Your Self Cookies/Green tea for B'Fast. Snack, will be CC/Yogurt! :)

Heidi~ I could sleep and sleep on the weekends if my kids would let me. For some reason or another I was up bright and early @ 7am. Enjoy your day! Talk about laudry, I have 3-loads on my bed to fold .. x(

Tomorrow is Free Day .. WooHoo :) I dying to have my donut and coffee (w/ extra cream)..YUM! Do you ever watch TV, right before you Free day and everything that comes on is...Oh man, maybe I will have that? Last night it was Mac & Cheese & grilled cheese sandwish :9

Howdi Gals,

It is a very busy weekend for me. We have b-day parties, and a dinner party tonight and my daughter has ballet practice all weekend for The Nutcracker performance. I have been in the car all day practically until now.I had a great workout and I am glad the weekend is here.I feel really good about the way my body has been changing so today I am going to go and buy some new clothes. I am excited.
Gayle, has it really been 6 weeks already? Time is flying. I just love it.
Cathe is coming out with another series.Is this something that will be similar to P90X? I am just now ordering the 4 day split.DH is giving it to me for christmas.

Hi Jennifer,

Well, lets see what did I get done today. Those dishes and several loads of laundry befor my DD called for a ride home from several towns over. She didn't get her train last night at 12:10am because the bus had stopped for the night and then there were shut offs along the MBTA for construction. By the time she finally got to the train station all trains had left for the night and she got stuck in Boston with no way of getting home.
Luckily her boyfriend was up from college and went out on a rescue mission. She spent the night at his parents house and couldn't get back here. So now it was Mom to the rescue....as usual.

DD is now back in Boston for work again tonight and I hope she leaves work early just in case they are still having problems along the subway routes.

So here it is 4:21PM and I still haven't been able to get to my workout! :-( So much for my plans for this day.
I will try in a little while after dinner is cooked to get to it. I really feel sick with a headache from not getting in my workout now for two days in a row.

I have heard of the Couch to 5K program. There was another one of us doing this at one point but I don't know what happened. It is a great way to get into running without over stressing yourself.

Are you doing this program from coolrunning.com or from the club?

Sorry you didn't get to go to that yoga class. But tomorrow is another day right?:D

Gayle: I don't know about the iCycle workouts because I don't have a cycle...yet ;) Do you have the Tread and Tush workout from iTread? I was looking at this for next month. It looks interesting. Let me know how you liked it.

Hi back again!

Note: My first entry is below this one so read that one first. :)

I finished my cardio for the day...phew. Did it.

I will do the SH legs and abs tomorrow. I guess I just need a few days off from weights. Plus staying up past 1am for 3 nights in a row is just too much.

Veronika: Wow that is exciting for your daughter to be in the Nutcracker. What is she in the play?
I am excited about the new (current) DVD's that I haven't tried out yet. These are my gift for Christmas too. :)

I have never done the P90X workouts so I don't know whether the STS workouts will be close to this. The P90X workouts do look interesting though.

Have a great time getting new clothes when you do go. This is really great for you!

Good Morning Ladies :)

Well, today is free day! YAY :) Finished W1 w/ no issues! Hopefully I can do as great as you guys!! I think having a check-in really helps .. need all the motivation I can get.

I am making EFL French Toast for b'fast. My daughter picked it out this morning, it was between protein pancakes or- French toast! Topped w/ a little spray butter & s/f syrup we are set to go! :9

Gayle~ The tuna turned out great! :9 Can I ask what food scale you use at home? I have a small cheesy one that it not even worth using, I guess that is why I was so confused on how much actually 8oz of Pasta was.

Looks like I won't get to Power "heated" yoga today, but I plan to putting in a Yoga DVD here at home, I feel I need to stretch out.
I am considering picking up Bryan Kest's 3-DVD set & Rodney Lee, Power Yoga. Have you tried any of these?

Hey, Jennifer. Great job on week 1 COMPLETE! Each week gets easier and easier to make the right choices! I'm LOVING IT! As for the food scale, mine isn't anything fancy either. It's just a scale I bought at WalMart that measures up to 3# of stuff!

ENJOY FREE DAY!!!!!!!

I'm baking up lasagna later today, and last night I baked a homemade apple pie for FREE DAY!!!!!!!!!!! So worth it, after a hard week of work and eating right!

I took measurements and photos this morning and I'm loving the results so far. My side by side pics (I've posted them over on tracker) are showing a lot of progress, so I'm PUMPED UP for the second half of my challenge!

Jennifer: Pancakes or F.Toast sounds great right about now! This is great to introduce your daughter to eating healthy and learning how to take care of herself so she can remain healthy for life.
Great job on sticking with your workouts and your eating. The longer you keep at it the better the results... you'll see.
Making food or exercise adjustments are hard at first but once in the habit it just seems natural.

Gayle: I can't believe we have made it this far into this schedule and we have been pretty much sticking to it. I must say you have been an inspiration to all of us with your results. Being able to up your weights and also doing an awesome job on your cardio makes me want to keep at it all the more.

Just finished my makeup workout from Friday. It was well worth the extra rest day! I definetly feel stronger today and could have gone heavier with all the leg exercises.

Plan for today: Go get food for the week. DD needs some clothes for an important meeting tomorrow. She is attending the Progeria Conference with her research team. She is very excited to be part of this program for working towards a cure for this and many other age related illnesses.

Hi Guys~

Ok, just had my coffee & donut from Wawa...One word!!! YUCK!! :( I didn't even want it, but thought I was craving it during the week I better have it.

I have some running around to do later.
Us, ladies seem to always be running around! I guess that is part of being a MOM! :) Some days, I think I just need a vacation! :)

Heidi~ Great job on your workout! Sometimes It's nice to take a extra rest day, you def come back stronger at times! Now, me, HA...My rest day last time was 2 months :) I don't think I worked out since the Road Trip! I guess she kicked my arse, by Sunday I was whooped!! (In a good way of course). Enjoy your running around today!!

Well, shopping is done. Just need to pick up a few odds and ends. My daughter's Beta died last night, so of course she wants to go pick up another one. This will be 2-3 one this year!
Need to plan my meals for tomorrow.

Gayle~ Your pics look great!! Great Work! You have some major definition in your back! They say the most changes come around your 8th week!

I can't wait to start getting some muscle back.
As of right now, I plan on going to Yoga tonight (4:30).. this is what I am thinking now, but you know how things can change.. :)

Have to see what my kids school (Downingtown East) is doing so far this week. There is talk all over that they will be going on strike. They have been posting updates, but as of Friday didn't come to a agreement.

Heidi~My DD is a Candy Cane and a Party Child in the Nutcracker this year.She has been in it for five years now.She really enjoys ballet and I can see pursueing this for a long time.
Jennifer, Keep it up girl! It is hard to believe a week has gone by for you.I am so proud of you for sticking to the clean eating all week.I must admit I slacked off on the eating part yesterday and today.I'm on track now.Where do your children go to school?
Gayle, I wanted to see your pics. I got on your picture trail but didn't see them there.
Today,I am doing my upper body because I'll be in meetings all day tomorrow.
