Cardio done - Kick max - legs felt like lead, they were so stiff. I might need to get quick run in tonight. And DH needs to find the yoga DVD (Rodney Yee Yoga for Athletes) so I can get these hamstrings good a stretched.

Clean eating for 3 days in a row - going for 4. now running out the door to work.

Hi, Sherry! I'm with you on shooting for Day 4. My goal this week is to get 7 SOLID days of clean eating, which INCLUDES the weekend! Great workout with KM! I have kickbox on tap for Saturday and I'm leaning toweard my fave...Cardio Kicks.

I've got DOMS! YEAH! They actually started setting in the UB last night, which is always a good sign! That CTX upper body split does it every time!

Somebody asked what I'm reading. Right now, I'm only reading Gone With The Wind (although I haven't actually started it yet!). My book club's next book is The Killer Angels. I'll read that after GWTW. I can usually only read 1 book at a time so I can get really "into" the book and characters.

Yesterday at the amusement park was awesome! I stayed on target with my eating. COMPLETELY! Somebody asked yesterday how I take my food with me. I pack a cooler and keep it in the car. I pack a lunch for each of us and we always go out and tailgate at the car for lunch! I carry a small backpack with healthy snacks for all of us to get us thru the morning, and I also carry the aprk's refillable insulated cup (like 32oz) and keep having it refilled with water for us. If we stay long enough at the park, I will buy my kids dinner there, but I have them split an order of something, then I treat them to ice cream at the Ice Cream World that is actually across the street, on our way home. The place I buy them dinner at is right next to the Subway, so it all works out well. But we left yesterday around 4pm and I got a hot green tea at the coffee shop which is connected to the ice cream place. (follow all that? HA!) Then we had my best friend and her family here for dinner (again, healthy). I'm pumped to have succeeded with clean eating on our first summer vacation outing!

This morning, I did CC, volume 5. Then Boot Camp (the original) core premix. WOW! What a workout, that CC! I logged 5.5 miles! I topped out at 9.1mph for the sprint challenge and a 6.5% hill on the first challenge. I was a sweaty mess by the time I hit the mat for core work! :D It's all good.

Today's plan: headed out shortly to clean my friend's house. Then I have to mow my yard. Then late this afternoon is my DS's evaluation at the physical therapist, then he's got a baseball game. Then I have my Book Club meeting also! Yeah...before I know it it will be time for bed again! LOL

Hello and Good Morning to you all,

Sherry: Great job on KM this morning! I can't move my legs!:eek: The DOMS started setting in early last night after tacking on that bike ride with DS. Every inch from my hips to my calves hurt! How is you DH doing today? ;-)
Great job on keeping it clean!!!

Gayle: I am with you on the DOMS!!! My upper is still a little sore from PUB on monday. My lower half is really sore and I don't think I will be doing any running today.
Nice job on CC #5! So you liked the change from iTreads?
Keep up the good work keeping it clean!

I have some yard work to do today as well. I started yesterday but laundry took priority.

Time to get DD off to the train. I hope everyone has a great sweaty workout! }(

Morning Ladies,

Today is cardio for me. Can't decide between LowMax and 4DS HIS. My knees are a little achy from all the bike riding I've been doing.

My DD and I are in the process of re-decorating her room. We spent all day yesterday just cleaning all the junk out. One more day of cleaning out and then we should be ready to peel the little flower decals off the wall. Hopefully the wall won't come with it! We found a really cute bed frame that we are in the process of painting. I'd like to drag this project out for a few weeks b/c all her friends are on vacation and this keeps her occupied.

Sherry - Great job on Kick MAx. I haven;t done that one in a while. Congrats on 4 days of clean eating. I'm struggling to make 2 days.

Gayle - Sounds like you had a blast at the park. Congrats on your clean eating as well.

Heidi - Enjoy your yard work. We have been having some really nice cooler weather down south. I should tackle some yard work as well.

Did CCV1 this morning. Yah!!

Sherry - It is soooo cool that your husband is working out with you!

Gayle - I really need to follow your lead and start packing snacks and lunches. I do so well when I'm at work -- I always brown bag it -- but it is the weekends with the kids that kill me.

Heidi - I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with DOMS. For some reason PUB on Monday killed me as well. I'm actually dreading doing upper body again tomorrow!

Carolyn - So funny about the decals. My daughter just put Bratz decals on her walls yesterday. I can't say enough about the peel and stick decals. We've even used the peel and stick borders. My kids change their rooms so often - there is no way I could ever use anything permanent. Have fun!

Sherry – Great job with KickMax! Yoga for Athletes is my favorite yoga DVD. I like the floor poses the best.

Gayle – I’m happy to hear you had a blast at the park yesterday! Super job on keeping the eats clean! I hope Jacob’s PT appointment goes well today. Did the doctor know what’s causing the pain? Oh, and YAY on the CCV5….they’re so much fun.

Heidi – Yikes, I hope your legs loosen up today. Be careful out in the back yard, lol….I never thought our brush would “fight” back but it got me! :p

Carolyn – Your daughter’s room project sounds great. Are you repainting? That’s the part I dread. :)

Well, I ran 5 miles this morning using CCV2 Revised and part of an iTread. I got up late and didn’t have time for much else.

Man, this poison ivy is making me CRAZY! I’m scratching my entire body….I look like I have the measles (some spots are patchy while others are just swollen itchy bumps). I’m thinking of canceling on the Cathe RT because I’m not sure how “healed” I’ll be in 5 weeks. This would give the person on the wait list 5 weeks to prepare. I don’t want to show up still scratching or scabbing over….ick! :( I’m hanging out in my cubicle at work now. At the meetings the last couple of days I think I made people uncomfortable with all my scratching, lol.

Yes, We are repainting. Her new bedding arrived yesterday and it is lime green and aqua blue. HEr comforter is reversible solid colors and the sheets are polka dot. She wants pale lime green on her walls. It wll be really cute just a lot of work.
 
Kathy - Oh girl - hang in there!! I don't think you should cancel on the RT. I see they are starting a check-in -- just introduce yourself as the one that will be scratching! :) I thought there was some medicine you could take orally for the itching??

Carolyn - Sounds beautiful! I know painting is a lot of work - so best of luck!

Hi Carolyn: You have your work cut out for you on your DD’s bedroom. This is great for your DD to learn how to prepare for painting and should be fun too.
Have fun with your workout whichever your choose!

I will be working in the yard shortly with DS. We have some weeding to do in the main garden. I worked last weekend on the front yard which has mostly different rose bushes. I have the scratches to prove it! ;)

Hello Belinda: Have fun with KM! I decided to give my body a rest today. I am hurting all over! I feel proud that I did workout 3 times this week right in a row however.
How is your DD and her first Cathe workouts going?

Hi Michelle: Great job on CCV1 this morning! I am contemplating doing a circuit workout for tomorrow instead of just upper body. I am choosing between Cardio & Weights, Low Impact Circuit or really easy…Body Fusion. ;)

Hello Kathy: Ohhh! Don’t pass on the RT! I am sure you should be cleared up by then. Just make DH or sons do the brush work. I sure am!!!
I slept in a little later this morning as well. I could bearly get out of bed with all these leg DOMS! I am in need of some big time stretching. I guess I should join Sherry in doing that yoga DVD.
That is a great workout even though you think that isn’t enough! ;)

Amelia: Have fun getting in some tanning time. I am joining you on a rest day and just working in the yard. This is a pretty good workout anyway.

Running in to say . . .

Gayle – Yeah on the DOMS and the clean eating! We often pack picnic meals also. I can’t believe you haven’t seen GWTW! We used to always watch it the once a year it came on. It’s my Grandma’s favorite movie – I think the time it came out reminds her of your youth. What am I reading? Listening to Pride and Prejudice in the car. Need to read City of Ember next – yes a kid’s book, but our rule is that the kid’s should read the book before seeing the movie, and mom is about last in the list. Then I need to read some Clancy to catch up on Jack Ryan – I’m a few books behind.

Heidi – DH can’t move today. He was barely out of bed when I left this a.m. and walking like an old man. He’s desperately trying to find the yoga DVD today. I’m secretly laughing. Hope the yard work helps to loosen up your upper body.

Carolyn – What workout did you decide to do? 2 days of clean eating is nothing to feel disappointed about. For me it takes great effort not to wander. My DD wants to redo her room, also. She went with me to Linens ‘n Things, but the comforter she really wanted was already gone. One of the stores they are closing is near us. We’ll keep looking for inspiration. Lime green and aqua blue are definitely the in thing – DD wants her room aqua blue with a green stripe around the top.

Belinda – Yeah, your DD is doing Cathe! You are such a good example. Hope you jump higher on the leg blasts than I did this a.m.

Michelle – Yeah! You are getting up for workouts in the a.m. again! DH is doing the weight work but not the cardio. He thinks Cathe is too dancey (sp?). He’d rather ride his bike.

Kathy – I feel for you and your itches. I agree on hanging in there for the RT. 5 weeks is a lost of time left for it to heal. And I also like that yoga DVD, if it can be found. That’s what happens when DH cleans sometimes – he can never remember where he put it.

Amelia – Enjoy your rest day. Saved a spot for you last night watching GWTW. DS was surprised how much fire there was since he explained to us that the movie was made back when they use real fire and explosions (burning Atlanta).

Now back to work!
 
I know many of you here have young daughters (mine is 8) and I just came across a wonderful tv show we can watch together! I know this show has been around for a few years - I just hadn't heard of it. It is Jon & Kate plus 8 on TLC. It is about a married couple who have eight kids. It is so funny and my daughter just loves it. It's nice to have something cute to watch together that isn't on the Disney channel for a change.

Hello BFLers!!! Sorry to be MIA, again. This work-move has been extremely frustrating. But we are in and up and running so that is good!

Michelle - our DD is 8 and we LOVE Jon & Kate plus 8.

I did not get up and do a CC workout this morning. I have been so tired lately and out of sorts. Not sure what is going on. I am also thinking about cancelling my registration for the August RT. Not sure why, but all of sudden I just don't feel that excited about it. I'm in some kind of funk..x(

Melissa - get yourself out of that funk!! You've worked so hard all year - you deserve to go to the RT!! Plus I need someone to come back and tell me all about it! :) ha ha!!

Thanks for that Michelle! :7 I actually had an email all typed up to customer service telling them to cancel it, but I deleted it before I sent it. That's a sign, right!!??

Have you seen Kung Fu Panda? Or has anyone for that matter? Today is DD's last day of school and I took tomorrow off. She wants to see that movie so bad so I'm going to surprise her. I hope it's good!

ETA: I think I'll go home and do CCV7 to get me out of this mood!!

ETA#2: Maybe I'll do CCPP instead since it's supposed to be inspirational (haven't done it yet) and I need all the inspiration I can get lately!!;-)

That is so funny that you mentioned Jon & Kate plus 8. My DD (10) and I watched it last night for the first time. Those babies are adorable. I think I would be a little insane by the end of the day.

Kathy and Melissa - OH NOOOOO!!!! You guys can't cancel the road trip. I feel you both will regret it if you did. I'm sure you will get more excited about it the closer it gets. And Kathy, We're going to be roommates:7 I'm sure your poison ivy will be cleared up by then. Just stay out of the back yard! Deep breaths both of you and snap out of it!!

Sherry - I ended up doing 4DS HIS. I was running short on time and this one worked out great. We ordered my DD's bedding from JCPenney. I never buy from there but my friend said they were haveing a big sale plus she has a 20% off coupon. HArd to pass up.

Heidi - Be careful working in your yard. Wouldn't want you to end up with poison ivy like Kathy.

I'm sporting some major DOMS myself. Hope I'm not too sore for my tennis match on Saturday

Carolyn** the bedding sounds wonderful! I bought a comforter for my bedroom at Target today! The color is olive green! It was on SALE for $ 89 org. $ 129! I also went to Vitoria Secret and went crazy! I am stocking up for Germany! I love the 4DS! Nice workout choice!

Amelia** I hope you got a nice tan today! Glad you enjoyed your rest day! I almost took one too!

Heidi** I know Body Fusion is easy, but I really like it! Whatever you decide it will be good! Hope you enjoyed your rest day as well!

Sherry** your post made me laugh! Yah, right! On jumping higher! I was happy to make it through the workout! I didn’t work out until close to 6 p.m.! LOL! My DH does Cathe’s weight workouts with me, but no luck with the cardio!

Melissa** maybe you need to take a week off? I will take a week of next week, it will be hard put my body need it! Don’t cancel the RT! You will have so much fun! I am really glad you canceled that e-mail!
