Good morning!

Jennifer---holy COW! You do tricep kickbacks with 17.5??? WOWzers! LOL Great job!!!!!! Now I'll have to try it! lol I switch my exercises up every 2 weeks, so that's next week. For tris, I've done dips, overhead tri extensions, and skull crushers. Now I'll have to switch it to kickbacks next week!

Veronika---great job on planning for yesterday! And no, a girl can never have too many green beans! lol

OK...as for me. Last night I ended up taking the boys to the WMCA swimming and I put that bathing suit on and I WAS CONFIDENT! No tugging at the suit, no trying to cover up. I felt strong and toned and felt GREAT!!!!! That's progress!

I was up and in the basement this AM by 5:15 for HIIT on the stationary bike. I logged 5.6-5.6 miles. My goal for this morning was 5.8 miles, so I'll have to pick it up next time! Then I did Core Max on the stability ball and a stretch!

I've got a fridge filled with BFL stuff! lol I sort of feel the pressure of having to eat it all before it goes bad: stuffed green peppers, salsa chicken wraps, boiled egg whites, salad, etc. LOL The good thing is that I don't have to cook dinner for myself all week!

OK...off to shower. I have the School Store this morning so the boys and I have to get out the door earlier! BBL

Good Morning to you all!:)

I am running a bit late checking in today. This has been another run around morning trying to catch the train. Ended up going two towns over to get my DD on the train then raced back to get my son off to school. I am exhausted and the day hasn't even started!

Jennifer: Wow! I agree with Gayle on those weights. I think for those kickbacks I am using 2 8's and even this is hard. Are you doing them one at a time? I am doing these standing and with two at a time bent over. If I was using one I could go heavier because my back would be supported better. But still WOW! Great Job! }(

Veronika: You are making me laugh about having a few extra green beans. :7 I love vegtables and tend to eat more then I should too but I don't feel quilty in anyway. They have so few calories it really doesn't matter all that much. Eat as many vegatables as you want except not smoothered in butter. ;-)
Isn't it great to have your meals all planned out so you aren't trying to struggle with what to do next? This is the best way to get all your groceries in one shopping trip too.

It has been a good morning as far as what has gone into my mouth. I do have the day planned out as far as what I am going to eat. Thank you again.

I also will get my cardio in here this morning but it won't be until 11 am.

Heidi, I find it amusing that you thought my comment on eating too many green beans funny. My DH says I am the most serious person he knows and so I am always intrigued when someone thinks I'm funny or that I said something funny. I should write down anything that people say I said is funny and show it to my DH to let him know I have a sense of humor. I think I'm funny sometimes. He just doesn't get my sense of humor,RIght?

Sounds like you guys are still all going strong.

I have started the 4 day split and I LOVE it!!! I really have to get heavier dumbbells though! The highest I have are 15 lb. and they did make me sore for sure but I am going to want to go up to Cathe's weight!

Well, my goal is and always has been to lose ten pounds. I haven't lost an ounce for the last two or three years. It is obvious to me that I am not very serious about this goal.

I'm going to tighten up my self discipline. I know the bottom line is the number of calories I eat. Of course the missed workouts don't help:-( x(

Good Morning everyone!

You all have me blushing a little bit. Thank you!! Mind you, that 17.5 is on my last, SHORT set. I really think it's sheer will that gets me through it.

I'm so freakin' tired today. I woke up at 3:30 and never went back to sleep. So...knowing I have dinner plans tonight, and worried that I might miss my workout, I was hittin' the weights for lower body at 5 a.m. this morning. On the one hand I'm glad it's out of the way, on the other, I noticed that it was a real struggle lifting my normal amount of weight. I fatigued quickly. (Besides the early hour, the cardio I did less than twelve hours before might also have had an effect.) So even though I made it through, I kind of felt like my form was lacking at times. Nonetheless, my legs are nearly dead, so I guess it all counts. :D

Gayle, I hear you on the stocked fridge pressure. That was me last Saturday. I'm happy (sort of) to say that my fridge is now nearly empty. It's like an accomplishment to know that I used everything I bought. Not to mention that it's further validation that I ate right all week!

Veronika, good job with the planning. You wait, before you know it you'll be OCD just like me!! :+ You should see the number of Tupperware containers I have, and the variety of sizes. It's almost ridiculous, but they look so darn neat in the fridge.

Kerry, I think you're in the right place if you're looking for self-discipline. Say the word and you have a group here ready to keep you in line. ;)

Jennifer: I hear you on being exhausted.
Is it time to go to bed yet? I feel wiped out and it is only about 1pm! I guess my waking up several hours before I have to wake up is starting to get to me. I tend to look at the clock several times between 1 and 5 just to see if it is that time yet. Yeah I have my alarm set but still do this stupid thing...do any of you do this?
I am thinking that maybe I didn't get in enough water for the last couple of workouts and that is why I feel this way. I don't know...
My daughter...Mmmmm. I had a serious talk with her on our way to the train station...(2 towns away!) that she needs to get up at least 15min. earlier. It seems that she is missing the train just by a few minutes and this is getting to be a problem with me. At least she is starting to see the connection.

Veronika: Your DH doesn't get you like my husband doesn't get me half the time. He tells jokes that are sometimes funny and other times I just give him one of those looks... Am I suppose to laugh at that? I have a good sense of humor but I am also a very straight forward person. Smile on girl!

Kerry: Like it or not we are here and we will definetly tell you like it is! ;-) I think you are doing ok and as long as you have the will you can do it. So keep moving forward!
Oh, I agree that these Emoticons don't go were you want so delete until it gets there. :p

Time for that get moving music to get myself woken up!

Hello ladies,

I so enjoy getting on here and reading everyone's comments. Y'all are so fun. I am so tired today, I should say -I am so tired right now. After this I am hitting the sack and letting DH do clean up duty and putting the children to bed. He won't know what hit him when he sees me asleep and then he realizes he has to do it all. I know ,cruel prank but I've been home schooling all day, then I had to make dinner, drive kids around, and workout. It has been a very good day. I can't complain .I'm just tired.

Gayle, I am so glad that my fridge is empty and now I can start anew.Tomorrow we will celebrate our little guys 3rd birthday.We are having relatives come over and we will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs. I'll grill some chicken for myself.

Heidi- that is exactly how I feel when I am waking up to much during the night.We all need sound sleep.

Kerry, have you done all the new workouts? I am so wanting to do them but I have to wait until christmas for them.Do you really like them?
What does it compare to,if anything that Cathe has done?


OK, I'm going to bed.I'm tired.Did I say that already.

By the way, does anyone take a protein supplement shake that they recommend/Sometimes I don't feel like eating anything but I'll drink something.I need something with a really good taste or I won't drink it.

Hi guys! My hugely busy past week is done! I'm still battling sleep problems, which is frustrating, but have been getting in workouts. I have noticed, though, that I do miss the weights! I'm thinking that since doing yoga is not doing anything to help me sleep better, I'm getting back with the weights. I do prefer total body workouts right now as opposed to the all upper body/lower body so I think I'll be doing a little bit of Muscle Max. But tomorrow I may treat myself to some Low Impact Circuit.

Veronika, I have been using Lean Dessert Protein by BSN lately and I don't think I'll ever go back to anything else. It's even really good just with water! I have Chocolate Fudge Pudding, Banana Cream Pudding (very tasty!) and Vanilla. I'll make a shake with water and fruit or sometimes I may just mix it with milk or water. Very good either way.
