Good Morning Ladies!

Who can't move today?

I am really wiped out from yesterday's PH. I am sooooo glad that today is cardio. I will be biking with DS later for my workout.

Melissa: (From late last night) Great Job on B&G!!! How are you today? Can you walk?;-)

It is going to be a busy one here. 3rd DS is late for work. DD already left for the train. She had an early lab meeting. Work for me is going to be hectic.

I ran 6 miles (doing 6 modified Yasso 800's) using CCV5. What I did was do the wmup, first challenge twice, steady state, second challenge, & final steady state. I couldn't run 6.6 mph four minutes (six times) without sending my heart rate through the roof so I had to back down to 6.3 mph. I also tacked on the standing med ball segments of Mindy Mylrea's Strength Express (I forgot I even had this little gem...it's from the CIA 2200 series).

Gayle, I think you asked about Amy's Slo Mo a couple of days ago. I had it but traded it quickly. It just didn't click with me, too many unique moves (I'm an old school lifter that likes the tried and true, lol). Anyway, just my opinion...many others loved it.

Speaking of other workouts, I ordered Mitch Gaylord's "Melt it Off" which is a medicine ball and 4 workouts. It got great reviews over at VF so I'm hoping I like it too. Oh, I'm also going to pre-order Amy's new step workout (not for the step segments, lol) but for the two 15 minute ab workouts. One uses a kettlebell and the other resistance tubing. The pics I saw in a thread over at the YaYa's site peaked my interest.

So there ya go...I'm off on a fitness DVD ordering spree again! ;)

Kathy: Great workout today! How are you feeling? You should be off that medicine and hopefully gaining your strength back.:)

I have heard a lot of talk about new DVD's...but I am holding off on anything new until I finally get STS. I hope it becomes available for delivery soon! Cathe has some new ab workouts with this program too that I am looking forward to. :)

Right now I am following an STS like rotation from Renee. I actually started yesterday with PH. Today is cardio and tomorrow calls for L&G. It looks pretty good with 3 weight days and 3 cardio days. Pretty close to BFL style training.

I just hope that I can stick to this one without too much distraction from daily stuff! ;-)

Good Morning,

I am super sore today as well. Kickboxing really sneaks up on me and I don't realize just how many muscles I actualy use until the next day. LB is on tap for today. I'm supposed to do PLB but I may do B&G or L&G, depends on my energy level once I get downstairs.

HI!!!

Put me on the list of those moving slowly today. My legs are sporting some awesome DOMS. Butt, hammies, inner thighs and quads. Made this morning's workout tough to get started, but I DID IT! I did CC 2 revised for the very first time and loved it. It's a shorter workout, about 37 minutes, but I logged 4.25 miles and felt like the fastest sprinter in the world! LOL Then I followed it up with Ab Hits (did the PS Legs ab segment).

We did end up going to the water park yesterday and I stayed completely "on program" with my eating. I packed a grilled chicken low carb wrap and an orange, and that's what I had for dinner. Feeling GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRREAT!

Time to figure out our morning. It's raining a bit and the Rec Program is cancelled if it rains. Older DS has practice for his travelling team from 9-11. We'll see what the weather does to these morning activities. He also has his first PT appt this afternoon and I'm excited to get him started on this journey. I'm secretly hoping that this PT and the exercises helps with his weight. We've been concentrating at home on portion sizes with meals and snacks, and that's been helping him.

Good morning everyone!

Heidi - yes, I can walk today! I was really stiff when I got up this morning, but once I started moving around I loosened up a little.

Kathy - I was looking at the Mitch Gaylord DVD's online the other day. Funny "Mitch Gaylord" story: when I was in HS, a new mall was opening in NH and the big attraction on opening day was Mitch Gaylord!!! I had a HUGE crush on him so my mother took me to see him and get his autograph. I was sporting a major sunburn, a hawaiian shirt and a brand new mouth full of braces (just put on earlier that day!). I'll remember that day forever!!

Carolyn - kickboxing does the same thing to me. Especially KPC! Have fun with LB today. I did B&G last night...YOWZA!!

Gayle - I did CCV2 on Tuesday night. I love that one!! Glad you enjoyed it. ^^^5's on eating clean at the water park. It's all in the planning, isn't it?!

Heidi – I took the last dose of the meds yesterday but it must still be lingering in my system! I can’t believe how it’s affected my heart rate. My body feels fine, my breathing is good, but my heart is RACING! I’m going to postpone my long run this weekend again and do a dry run of the duathlon that I plan on doing 7/13. I’ll run 6 miles and bike 15 and then pick up my long run schedule the following weekend. I should be fine with 2 more 20+ mile runs before the RT and when I start to taper for the 50k.

Gayle – I hope your son’s PT sessions go well. I’ll tell you what, I was SO grateful for the PT that helped me come back. He was compassionate but pushed me pretty hard, I’ll always be thankful for his help….I’m not sure I could have done it without him!

Carolyn – Enjoy your lower body day! I wish I was more coordinated so I could do more kickboxing (you’ll see how bad I am at the RT, lol!) Guess that’s why I run so much. ;)

Melissa – LOL! I just got the cutest mental picture of ya…that is too funny! I love the movie he’s in with Janet Jones Gretsky (I think it’s National Anthem or something like that) where they’re competing gymnasts (what a stretch, lol). Anyway, all the reviews and the price pushed me over the edge and I ordered it last night (it was $29.98 for a med ball and 4 DVDs). The med ball is light (2 lbs.) but a size I don’t have already. See how I can justify all this???? :D

You've convinced me to order! I didn't realize it came with a 2lb med ball. Can always use one of those...;):p
 
Melissa, I used this toll free number (1-800-901-6184) instead of ordering online. It was given by Yogadad on VF and he had no problems with supplements being added, etc. to his order (plus he got it in about two weeks). I called last night and had to spell EVERYTHING out to the order taker but it went through. ;)

Count me in on those moving slowly. We went to see the Cardinals in town playing the Tigers, but left during the 2nd rain delay. Nonetheless, I was exhausted this morning. PUB on tap for tonight. My glutes were killing me yesterday from PLB the previous day, but are doing much better today.

There's all this talk about buying stuff, but I'm not listening (fingers in ears!). I'm waiting for STS, and trying to figure out when to get the slanted risers, the squat rack, the weighted vest, etc.

I finished my workout and ended up doing B&G Floor workout plus abs. That is one tough workout. I honestly did't feel like performing any squats today, my knees have been a little sore.

I'm trying to finish up my Who's Who form and have DD take a decent picture.

Carolyn - ^^^5's on B&G floorwork. I always skip the floorwork. I know I shouldn't, but I always do. That and abs. I can't remember the last time I did an ab workout...

Meals for today:

M#1: w/w english muffin w/1T natural pb
M#2: salad w/1 can white tuna & 1/2 c kidney beans
M#3: 1/2 c 1% cottage cheese w/1 c strawberries & 1/2 c blueberries
M#4: 2 w/w tortillas, 1/4 c shredded cheddar, 3 oz 93% lean beef, tomatos & shredded lettuce...CLEAN TACO NIGHT!!!
m#5: same as M#1 w/1 c skim milk

Can't wait to get home and hop on my bike!! CCV5 tonight, BABY!!!
 
Hi girls,

I ended up doing Power Yoga Total Body with Rodney Yee (that is one tough workout!),I did the entire 63 min. + earlier I did Total Body Stretching #3 with my DD! I am very stretched out today! I will work my abs tomorrow!
