Veronika-how did it go last night with DH? I like your idea of a prank! lol Evil? Maybe...but well-deserved!

Jill-If you prefer total body workouts, then do that. 2 or 3 a week should do the trick! See how your body responds!

I LOVE THIS CHECK IN! We may be a small group, but I enjoy it so much each day also! I think we're all settling into the routine of planning our food and our workouts, and tweeking what may or may not be working! YOU LADIES ROCK!!!!!!!!

My fridge is slowly emptying. What I've been trying to do is prep enough stuff on Sunday or Monday, to last me to the next Sunday!

OK..today's workout is done! And may I just say Thank God! LOL Lower Body work this morning, and I've gone SOOO heavy that my hands and forearms start to hurt during the heaviest set of deadlifts and then during the super set of dumbbell lunges! Next week I'll be switching up the exercises again, so that will help my forearms recooperate. I then followed it up with Stretch Max with the band.

It's Friday, and that means just today, Saturday and Sunday and week 4 will be in the bag. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???????????? It's been 4 WEEKS!!!!!!! 1/3 of the way there!!! I think we're doing AWESOME!!! Thanks for sharing this with me!!!

Good Morning to you all,

Hi Gayle, I too can't believe it is almost time for week 5! These last couple of weeks have just flown by.

Today's goal:
Lower Body: GS
Abs: KPC
Major stretching! Feeling a little wound up these days. I guess I have been doing minimum stretching after each workout.

I have a wake to attend this afternoon for my DD's friends mom who died of breast cancer. So I may not be able to check in again until late tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks Gayle...I actually slept quite well last night!!

I like your idea of prepping enough on the weekend to last you through the week. My past week and a half has been so incredibly busy that I've just been going day to day but I think I'll take the time this weekend to plan more and then prep what I can ahead of time.

By the way, I'd love to say how much I love reading how the weight lifting is going! You ladies are doing fantastic and is very encouraging to me. I am so ready to be back on it with everyone!

Good morning, all!!

Can everyone just send a little prayer up for me asking that the Red Sox please sweep Colorado, (}( ) because I need some sleep!! These late nights are KILLING me, but they are oh so worth it. (If anyone is a Colorado fan here...sorry :-( ...kind of... ;) ).

Anyway, I was up early this morning to get my house semi-cleaned before work, got the kids bag packed for the weekend at their dad's, and thereby freed up my evening for my cardio and the rest of the house cleaning. How's that for a Friday night date with myself? :+

I noticed that after doing my workout early yesterday morning, I was starving all day! I couldn't seem to eat enough! I did keep it all BFL, but I ate more than usual for sure. So, I'm happy to stick with my evening workouts. My body is finally slowly (but surely) shrinking, so I guess the routine is working for me.

What are everyone's plans for the weekend? Not much here but a little R&R.

You know, Jennifer, I live in Colorado! ;-) Actually, I'm not much of a sports fan so it doesn't really matter to me. But Rockies fever is just incredible here!

Heidi, school is going well. I got a B on my environmental studies exam and I think I got an A in Wednesday's chemistry exam! Now I just have to write a paper and then the rest of the semester will be all downhill from here!

I'm off to have some tea before I get in my workout. I'll post later and tell you how things go with LIC!

Go team Go! I watched a little of the game last night. Wow for both teams. They are really serious guys and very intimidating coaches with big wads of gum. Yuck! All that spitting made me sick. Now I know why I don't like to watch baseball or football or hockey etc etc.

Jill: How was your workout? Is this one of the new workouts that you did? So many people have switched over to trying out the DVD's that I am wondering if I too should go for it.

Great job on the tests! Time to celebrate a little.

I had a great workout again with GS legs. This is a great kick in the butt workout for me. I am not even coming close to the weights I use in SH or PLB. So how is it that this one gets me? I don't know... but it will probably hurt tomorrow! }(

Jennifer: What is on your schedule for tonights workout? A peaceful weekend to me sounds like a dream vacation. Just too many things going on for this one.
The changes are coming in small ways and I love it too! Just think of what it will be like after the full 12 weeks.}(

Hi Heidi,

I don't know what my workout will be tonight. Does shopping count if I move really fast? }(

I'm probably going to hop on the treadmill. I did Imax 2 for my cardio twice earlier this week, so running might be a good switch. Do you do mostly running for your cardio?

I've heard a lot of people mention their disgust over the spitting, but I just don't notice it. Maybe I'm paying too much attention to some of the good looking athletes??

I hope you get a little rest during your hectic weekend.

Some people go to the mall just to do that...walk really fast because the other people are there and are racing to get that last minute halloween costume! :)

So...which team has the better looking players?

How is Imax2 for you? Do you find yourself really winded or is it just so so?

I tend to mix it up like Gayle. Sometimes I run and other days I do one of the cardio step workouts. Walking or hiking fast is always a nice mix because it works muscles differently then running.
I wish I had a stationary bike or elliptical because this would make it even more of a mix up. Where's that christmas wish list now... ;)

My DD got through the wake ok. The family was sort of accepting the fact that their mother had been very sick for a long time and there was just only so much that could be done for her. Of course they are going to miss her terribly and the shock of it all won't actually hit them until all is quite. I know...my dad died when I was just 16 from brain cancer. It just happened so quickly from the time he was diagnosed to when he passed away just about 4 months later.

We are going to have a quite evening are watch a movie together. No work or school work for the night.

Heidi, I LOVED LIC!!! I did not order any of the new videos for a few reasons...first, I still have other videos of hers that I haven't done yet. Second, I am trying to build up my strength and cardio endurance because I basically took the summer off from exercising after I stopped teaching Tae Bo. Needless to say, I lost A LOT of strength and cardio fitness during that time! And then I started having sleep issues which makes my workouts a bit more difficult and tiring. Oh, and finally, I did not know the impact level. I ended up selling BM2 because the impact was too high and my knees hurt for days afterwards. I didn't want to spend the money and find out that the impact level was too high.

I really liked LIC because it was fun and I actually got the choreography! I didn't do the workout until this afternoon but I'm so proud of myself for actually getting it done! Usually I don't end up doing it because I'm feeling lazy by the end of the day but I actually did it! :)

Yeah Jill!:D Glad you liked this one. It ranks up there as one of my fun workouts. I also like the original LIS for the same reason. I still sweat like crazy through both of these so I feel it doesn't have to be high intensity to get the job done.

Did you feel more awake after the workout? I usually do and it feels awesome to know you got your workout it in there. :)
