BFL & Substitutions

I'm interested in Body for Life, but do not want to buy the protein bars/shakes/etc. Those that follow BFL, do you substitute other foods for the protein items mentioned above? If so, what? Thanks for your advice!

You do not need to buy the bars/shakes UNLESS you are officially entering the challenge. I find that the bars and shakes usually don't fill me up and I'm hungry soon after I eat them.

I try to eat regular food for all my meals, if possible.

TJ, what do you mean your interested? Do you mean you want to follow the meal plans without the bars and shakes?

If so, you can do that. If you mean you want to do EFL, join the EFL group and they will help with all the substitutions and what to eat. You can eat the suppers for breakfast and the breakfast for lunch. No real problem with interchanging them. If you don't want to drink the shakes, make a protein shake or you can really eat a snack of cottage cheese and an apple. There are lots to do without getting into the suppliments.
