BFL - Saturday, April 12

Amelia, so cute! Thanks for sharing! Tell her I'm proud of her!

Heidi, when did you order your bench? Did you get it at Wal-Mart?
I bet your yard is coming along nicely. Are you planting anything or just doing general clean-up? Enjoy your workout/walk!

Hi Stephanie:

I ordered the bench last weekend and now they are telling me that it will be in the store for pick up on April 17 - May 2nd! If I had just paid for the shipping ($37. worth) I could have had it delivered to my house within 3 days! What is with that???

I have many different gardens. (7) Flower, Strawberry, and a main vegetable garden. We usually grow all different types of tomatoes, swiss chard, peppers, squash, pumkin and herbs.
So as from this you can see why I am sore! ;-) Once I start a project I can't stop until it is done.

Have a great afternoon. :7 Heidi

Wow, Heidi, that stinks about your bench! Too bad you didn't know before-hand how long it was going to take. x(

Your garden sounds great! I have never been one to garden. I buy the pansies and stick them in the pots and that's about it! I also have Hosta which pretty much take care of themselves! I would love to take a course...will you teach me if I come over? I DO know how to pull weeds! :7

Yeah Stephanie! Awesome time! Knew you could do it!

It’s now 5:30, and I’ve tried to go for a powerwalk with the dog several times today, only to be turned back due to the driving rain. I keep trying to go when radar shows it’s letting up, but it ain’t workin’. I so wanted to be outside today instead of in front of the TV for my cardio!

Instead we’re leaving to go shopping soon. Seems DS’s feet have grown some more and he needs new soccer cleats for the spring season. I’ll be buying my 11 years size 9’s! He’s barely an inch shorter than me, and I’m 5’4”.

Susan – I have found that those questions needed only simple answers at the younger ages. Sex Ed starts in 4th grade in our district, with 4th grade about the one gender that the kids are, then in 5th a little more in depth about reproduction and what’s going on in the other gender. DS turned green both times (he can’t stand that biology stuff which drives DH crazy since that’s what he teaches). DD loves the American Girl book about taking care of her body, I like the straightforward but simple approach it takes.

Amelia – Yeah! Jeans falling off! Yes, you can do clean eating! And you should be very proud of your DD’s accomplishment. Rightly so.

Gayle – Glad you are pumped back up and out of your funk, though I might have been ready to join you. I think it’s the combination of not getting in cardio (still the toe, but I think I’ll be running again in another week) and all of the life stuff – car having problems last night, getting the cat’s blood results, DH bummed about not taking the job near the families (especially after my company had to do some layoffs a week ago), among other things. So instead, I think I’ll find a way to torment my lower body (that’s on tap for tomorrow) while we’re at the sporting good store getting DS his cleats.

Michelle – Yes, me DS gets embarrassed, too. He only discusses those things with Dad.

Melissa – I’m sure ankle weights would work, too. I have those also, but it took you ladies to remind me that I could use them other ways. I’m sure DD’s haircut will look cute. My DD is letting her hair grow so that she can get it cut to donate it.

Kathy – Glad you enjoyed your sleep. Hope you make it too the pool.

Belinda – Glad you made it in safely, and the dogs, too. Take a few days to adjust to the time change.

Heidi – The cupcake’s disappearing – that happened to me the other day with the brownies. At least they’re not on my hips, which is directly where they would have gone had I partaken. Yard work – haven’t started it yet, though DH and I were discussing removing a retaining wall. Since there’s a change for snow tonight, I know we have plenty of time to talk about it. I want to work on my gardens, too. This house just doesn’t have the nice ones like the last 2 homes have. The last one, we inherited a yard that bloomed to life in spring with hundreds (yes hundreds) of tulips and daffodils. Imagine our surprise the first spring that we were there.

Looks like the troops are ready to go. Enjoy your evening! “See” you all tomorrow!

Hi all. Pretty sure no one is on at this hour, but man am I struggling tonight. I was fine all day so I'm not sure what is going on. I figured maybe if I posted my meals for today it might help, even though I already wrote them down as the day went on.

M#1: 2 slices w/w toast w/1T natural pb
M#2: 3 slices of turkey on w/w roll w/tomato, onion, pickle & ff honey mustard dressing
M#3: salad w/ 1/2 can tuna
M#4: myloplex light bar (my local Target carries them and every once in a while I get one as a treat when I'm there..:9 )
M#5: 1/2 c pasta w/brocolli, tomatoes, green beans, carrots & peppers sauteed in 1T olive oil
M#6: AN ENTIRE CHOCOLATE CAKE W/CHOCOLATE FROSTING...Just kidding! But I probably would eat it if I had one in the house!!

I'm dying to make another applesauce banana bread, but I know if I do I will eat about 3 handfuls of raisins & about 2 handfuls of walnuts so I'm going to hold off until tomorrow.

FREE DAY, YOU CAN'T GET HERE FAST ENOUGH!!! Maybe I should go to bed now...x(

I was out of my chair when I read AN ENTIRE CHOCOLATE CAKE W/CHOCOLATE FROSTING! Melissa, DON'T DO THAT TO ME! ARG!!! Fight those cravings girl! You can do it!

How did your DD's haircut turn out?

Hello,

Just finished watching a movie with DS. DH, DD and oldest DS are out at a New Year's party (dinner). I just wanted to stay home with DS. He would have been here by himself being watched by his Grandmother. She is sooooo nervous most of the time it makes him nervous. ;-)

I did get in a Runnerval #1 easy intervals before the all left. I felt good about getting in at least that. I had dressed and was ready to go outside but then it started another downpour along with thunder so I had to opt for the TM.

Melissa: I need to go to bed and the thought of choc. cake right now is going to keep me up! STOP IT! :p On the otherhand I need to make another applesauce/pumpkin bread too.:9 I love having this in the morning toasted. I will meet you in the kitchen tomorrow for a bake off.:7
Is your DD happy with her new haircut? What did you do for your workout today?

Hi Stephanie: You can join me anytime if you would like to help me weed and put in new plants for the season.:7

Sherry: The tulips sound like they were a site to be-hold! Most of my flower gardens are easy care plants and are alternated with new flowers coming in each month. My roses out front are everblooms and keep their flowering up until almost Nov.

Well I guess it is that time...see you all here tomorrow. Have a great nights rest! Heidi
