Good morning Amelia and all who follow!

Wow, Amelia, you have a long workout today! I never did LIS yesterday so I will do that and either BFL UB or all GS UB. Looks like I'm going to be busy for awhile too! I will also attempt original Bootcamp abs, but I will do this one first!

bbl

Good morning Amelia and Stephanie! Belinda must still be sleeping off her weekend!! ha ha!

Sounds like you two have some killer workouts planned! Go for it!

I've decided to have a "fun" week. I'm not going to plan anything, I'm going to spend the week doing what I feel like -- while still getting in 6 workouts. This morning I did push/pull! It's my favorite Cathe workout. I loved every minute of it! I actually couldn't wait for the alarm to go off!!

I'll be back later to chat!!

Michelle

Good Morning Ladies!
Hi Amelia, Stephanie and Michelle and all to follow.
My weekend was sort of a bust in the food department..but hey, today is a new day, right. Why are weekends so much harder?????
Today I start Cathe's April rotation with IMAX. Im looking forward to this roatation..I think it will be fun!
I'll be back after workout if time premits before class.
Gonna be a great day for us all!!

Morning!
Wow, everyone is up and at 'em, LOVE IT! :)

This morning I did Amy Bento's In the Ring Med Ball premix (med ball intervals only - about 16 minutes) + a heavy BFL Upper Body Workout + ran 3 miles using the iTread segment from iTri Reverse twice (I really like it!)

BBL,
Kathy

Hey guys! Late post for me, but that's because I WOKE UP LATE! :) I hope you all had an AWESOME weekend! Can I just tell you how much I love my friends and family? Parents, kids, SO and his kids, my best friend and her family? Warm fuzzies all around! I love the weekends and I especially LOVE it when we ALL get together just for the heck of it!

We all got together Saturday night....some watched the NCAA play-off games and others played cards into the wee hours of the night/morning! Then yesterday, we were all over at Dave's house (well, Dave and I were there with ALL the kids, about 10 boys) and we just played all afternoon. WE had the older boys in Dave's batting cage while the younger ones just played in the yard. Then they ALL ended up on Dave's front lawn rolling down the hill for over an hour! And it was funny, because the kids ranged in age from 5 to 11 and they all got along with only minor injuries!

THEN....we ALL went out for dinner to the Olive Garden last night and it was just pure chaos but HEAVEN! LOL It all just made me so much more appreciative for all that I have.

That being said, I overslept this morning! If it weren't for my cat "knocking" on my door at 6:30 this morning, we ALL would have overslept! LOL So, I missed this morning's workout, but I AM COMMITTING TO YOU AND TO ME that I will do P90X Back & and Biceps when I get home from work at 1pm today! PROMISE I WILL!

So, today's moral.........

Appreciate all that you have in your life!

Gayle

Stephanie, you can do all of gs at one time:eek:,wow!

Michelle, great job with push/pull,and so early too!

Susan,i know what you mean with weekends,my DH pulled out a pizza yesterday and i was so elegantly sipping on my decafe tea,LOL Trying to not let the aroma bother me. He is suppose to start a diet soon,i will be glad so i don't have smell any of his yummy food anymore. Have fun with your rotation this month!

Kathy-WOW,Great workout,high fives girlfriend!

Gayle-What a great weekend you had!!!Gotta love all those warm fuzzies in life...makes it all worth it! Have a great workout later!

Hey to everybody that follows, just waiting for DH to wake so he can spot me on my squats,i plan on increasing to 80lbs today...hopefully!

bbl

Gayle, glad you had a wonderful time! Have a great workout this afternoon!

Michelle, great workout! Have a super day!

Susan, one day at a time! How's school going? 3 more weeks, right?

Kathy, you inspire me! Your workouts are amazing!

Amelia, I am going to attempt to do all UB GS. I did it once last year so I think I can make it! If I'm not back by this afternoon, send in the troops!

Just thought I'd share this pic I took a few minutes ago. I love nature. I feed the birds and squirrels year round. I have 2 squirrels that visit my feeder of peanuts (they have to lift the lid to get to the goodies!). It's not real clear...taken from my living room window. Anyway, enjoy my little buddy! (notice the nut in his mouth!) Sorry to ramble!

Amelia – Enjoy GS Legs, the floorwork on that one is great!

Stephanie – I like doing all of the GS Upper body at one time (it’s tough but fun). I usually only do one of the warmups and cooldowns and it’s not too long that way. I love the pic of the squirrel, lol!

Michelle – Your plan of just enjoying whatever workout you feel like doing sounds like heaven! I have 4 more weeks until the marathon and then I’m taking a rest week (and doing whatever I feel like, too).

Susan – Yeah, the weekends are the hardest! I think it’s because they’re less structured than the week plus we have access to lots more food! Don’t feel bad, it happens to all of us.

Gayle – Your family weekend sounded like fun! I’m so glad you had the opportunity to just enjoy everything and everyone around you, it’s such a blessing!

Okay, how many of you are swimmers? Did you take lessons as an adult or child?

I went to the community center yesterday afternoon to swim. First off, I got there when they were finishing up with a Special Olympics swim meet and had no clue what was going on. I checked in and went into the locker room and changed, walked out to the pool area and got in. I’m looking around and it’s completely empty except for a couple of people on the sidelines with hoses. DOH! A woman came up to me and says “sorry the pool won’t re-open until 3:00 pm" (it was 2:15 at the time). I got out and pulled on my sweat pants and T-Shirt (over my wet swimsuit) and had to figure out how to kill 45 minutes. I live to far away to go home and come back.

So I headed into the cardio room and found an open elliptical. I would’ve run but I didn’t have my running shoes on. Anyway, I ended up doing some extra cardio yesterday, lol.

I got back into the pool at 3:00 pm and did my 450 meters (that’s what the first triathlon’s swimming length is) but it took me 25 minutes! I was breathing SO hard and had to rest at each end of the pool for a couple of minutes before I could head back. I even “cheated” a few laps by swimming on my back or doing the side stroke, lol. Man, I can’t believe how tough it was! There was a lady giving a swimming lesson to a young man in the next lane. I thought….man, that’s what I need, lol! So as I was leaving I inquired about adult swim lessons and left my phone number. The desk lady said someone would call me back soon and schedule an appointment for lessons. It’s actually pretty reasonable for semi-private ($15 per half hour). I’ll probably do one lesson a week and stay a half hour extra to practice and hopefully get back over there mid-week to practice some more. Whew! I guess my triathlon plans are on hold until I master the swimming (it wouldn’t be very cool to show up at the triathlon with “swimmies” would it?) LOL!

Good morning everyone! I am assuming that Belinda is still in Italy?? I can't wait to hear all about it!

Amelia - 80lb squats...you go girl!!

Stephanie - love the pic of the squirrel! When I was younger (alot younger ;) ), we used to feed a squirrel pb sandwiches. He used to come right up to our front door which was all glass and bang his paw on it to be fed. It was pretty funny!

Michelle - a "fun" week sounds like a great idea. I love Push/Pull too!

Susan - I find that weekends are always harder too. I do much better during the week when I can only eat what I brought with me.

Kathy - do you like Amy Bento's In the Ring workout? I don't have any of her workouts and previewed that one the other day. Still up in the air though on whether or not to get it.

Gayle - I got warm fuzzies just reading your emails. I am feeling the same way today. I spent the weekend with my mom, sister, niece and DD and it was great. Even though we all live within 10 miles of each other, we don't see each other often enough so it was nice to spend a couple of days together.

Okay ladies, my goal for today is NO COFFEE!!! I made it here without stopping for a cup so that's half the battle. I weighed myself this morning...up 2lbs. EEK! Lots of water today and CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN eating.

M#1: vanilla protein shake & oatmeal applesauce muffin
M#2: beef & barley soup
M#3: cheeseburger wrap (3 oz 93% lean beef, 1T lowfat shredded cheddar, lettuce & mustard on w/w wrap)
M#4: apple & string cheese
M#5: chicken chili
M#6: strawberry/banana protein shake

BBL!

Hello and Good Morning to you all,

Hello to everyone!

I am running behind today as well. Started my day off with tons of paperwork to do for work. DD and DS off to school on time (for once):)

Now it is time for me to figure out how I am going to get in my workout. Run? Upper? or lower? My upper is sore from yesterdays CTX back and chest. I went pretty heavy and boy am I feeling it today! I am glad I stopped where i did instead of doing the whole upper body workout!
Legs feel great so maybe I will do lower...

Ok...SH legs and an easy interval. Oh...and of course get in my abs!

Last night I did add in ME abs. So I got in three ab workouts for the week.

Some of you have some pretty long workouts for today! Have a great workout! }(

Sounds like we all had a pretty good weekend as well. I hope that Belinda is enjoying her stay in Italy. Maybe they decided to stay for a couple extra days.:)

Melissa – I’ve only done the medicine ball segments and warmup/cooldown on Amy’s In the Ring but I’ve previewed the rest. I really like the med ball segments, the “halo” one is a bit tricky but I have it now! It gets my heartrate up as high as Cathe’s drills in 4DS Bootcamp but they’re really short (about 2 minutes each). I usually do the premix (which has the warmup/med ball drills twice through/cooldown) sometimes skipping the warmup which is long and just tacking on the drills as extra core work (because they seem to be core focused). As for the rest, I would say it’s easy enough choreography to learn once or twice through (easier if you do kickbox often, which I don’t). She has a background person doing the low impact option for the jumping jacks and other cardio with impact. Hope that makes sense!

Heidi – I’m glad your toes are better! Which interval run are you going to do?

Kathy

Stephanie,LOL...im sure you will be just fine with ub gs(lol at your comment on sending in the troops)

Hey to everybody. I will bb after later for more personals:)

Im finished with my workout, although i didnt get to the floor work because those squats killed my thighs. I almost lost my footing during the leg presses:eek:. Man thats a killer workout. Oh and i did PUB/abbs twice minus the pikes:+

Hi Kathy,

I did the Runnerval #1 easy intervals yesterday. I liked this alot and was completely drenched by the end. Which other Runnerval interval would reccommend that is about 40min in length?

I finished SH legs and shoulders. My ab workout was with Ab Hits #7. I have to head to work and then the usual running around with the kids.

As for swimming....It takes me a good couple weeks from winter break to get back my swimmers lungs. Just a couple laps and I am all out of breath. Why is this so much harder then running I will never know. ;-) Great workout for you! Does this mean that you are putting your Tri forward a couple months from now?

Those medicine ball abs from Amy sound great! I just can't spend anymore money on exercise stuff right now. Maybe christmas??? ;-)

Have a great afternoon. BBL Heidi

Hello Stephanie (Love the picture :) I do the same off my back porch),Michelle (Great job on Push/Pull!),Susan and Gayle! Gayle have you been able to get in your workout yet? :)

Hi Amelia:

Great job on your workout! My arms are fried after yesterday and today! I still have bi and tri to do later this week.

Man the Pyramid and GS series is tough on those legs huh!? }( Nice job on your abs too!

BBL Heidi

Hello Melissa! Your meals for today sound great! I am starving right now and grabing my lunch to eat later at work.

(Kathy's recipe from the other day...made with chicken and mixed peppers) :9

Heidi – The only other Runervals I have are Timesaver #6 which is great for variety, it has 3 different tempo intervals and the 10k Builder which is about 45-50 minutes long. I like both of them very much and find the 10k Builder to be quite challenging! Oh my, yeah….I can run for almost 4 hours but put me in a pool and I’m breathless after one lap, lol! I know it’s because I’m not breathing right and I’m probably over exerting in the motions so I’m wasting tons of energy (good and bad, right?)

I’ve already pre-registered for the following races:

1) W. Deptford Duathlon – 4/27
2) NJ Marathon – 5/4
3) Pinelands Triple Loop (bike 36 miles) – 5/17

I was planning on doing a triathlon on 6/1 but may just do the duathlon instead if I’m not up to par in the swimming. The next triathlon is July 13th and hopefully I’ll be ready by then! I’m actually “okay” with this….it gives me something to work toward! I love a challenge. :)

Kathy

Hey guys! FLy-by post here. Just got done with my workout...P90X Back & Biceps. WOWzers! LOL I've got to get to the busstop SOON!

BBL, promise!

oh, and did I miss a new recipe from Kathy somewhere???

Gayle

Hi Back again,

Kathy: Thanks for the recommendations for the runnervals. I will have to #6 a go! It sounds interesting where it has three different workouts in it.

Maybe a few pointers from the swim coach can help you on the breathing part. I could use a few myself...I feel at first like I am going to drown because I am not getting enough air...or...I am breathing too hard and need not too. :p

Hi Gayle: Nice job on your P90X! We will both be needing some good stretching later. My upper is getting pretty tight right now! I thought it was sore before....now my shoulders are really feeling it! :7

Time to drop off DS at work...pick other DS and go to the post office. BBL Heidi :+

Fly by post from me too -- just so you know I am reading -- but bosses are keeping me busy today!

I would LOVE to learn to swim!! I know enough to keep me from drowning, but when actually trying to swim I can't get the breathing down. Water always up my nose!!! After watching the Biggest Loser and seeing Ali kick butt in the swimming, makes me want to learn even more!!!
