Just a quickie post.

Michelle-know what MY 8 week miracle was in my first challenge???? It was at week 8 that I realized this BFL lifestyle was becoming just that...MY LIFESTYLE. I didn't have to think...I just DID IT! The early morning workouts? Not a thought....I just get up and do it. Planning meals? Not a thought...I just did it. The HABIT and the CHANGE and the CONSISTANCY of it was what MY 8 week miracle was. Keep plugging away. It's good every now and then to get back to basics, which is where I am this week. sometimes we tend to OVERthink things, and that's not always good!

Sorry....have to go meet the bus!

Hey everyone!

You guys are on fire today!! I am happy to be part of such a great group of committed athletes!

Belinda – Great job on the runs this morning! How many hours is Germany ahead of the US? I just want to figure out if you are up and running before I’ve gone to bed the night before!!

Tammy – Which workout did you decide to do? Hope you had fun!

Stephanie – What part of SC? I live in Clemson (Go Tigers!) Hope you have a safe trip! I know how it is when we get snow in the South – if people would just stay put, we’d all be fine. But everyone goes 55 mph to the nearest grocery store to get bread and milk and ends up ion a ditch! My best friend went off the road (no harm done) last time we had snow….and I still like to tease her about it ‘cause she’s originally from Ohio!

Gayle – What a workout, girl! You are an inspiration as always! So when is the marathon?

Kathy G – Heh Heh – I’ve done that too. My alarm clock, like a lot of electronics, is way too complicated for me! I’m sorry work is stressful right now - but the most important thing is that you are staying healthy nonetheless. I always try to remind myself that the stressful times pass, but the results of working out last.

Carolyn – Are you feeling better? I hope so! Have a great Valentine’s Day!

Heidi – Yeah, I know what you mean about exercise and stress. When I first woke up this morning, I truly thought I could not face the day. But after I pushed myself to do some cardio, my head was clear and I felt MUCH more optimistic and ready to tackle things.

Michelle – I am so happy for you that you’ve made it to week 7 and are feeling so great!! Loved your post today. I have only been exercising and eating right for three weeks – and I doubt anyone would notice physical changes yet. But my attitude is 1000% better. I feel like I have the energy and mental focus to handle anything that’s asked of me – and believe me, that wasn’t true before! And yes, it’s definitely all about doing the little things consistently. Last week I gave in and had a few beers one night, a glass of wine another. Well – I put on a pound right away and felt sluggish. So no more of that! I guess we all have to test our limits a little on this program.

Melissa – Hey, it happens! Congrats on having the presence of mind to throw out the rest of the temptation! You’re right to just leave that little episode behind you and move on! Hope you have a kickin’ LB workout – I bet you will be able to lift HEAVY now that all your muscles are full of cake…er…I mean, glycogen!

Hope I didn't miss anyone - if I did, sorry!

Well, back to work ....I have to go shopping in a little bit to buy all the foods DH craves when he is sick. Specifically: lettuce, grapefruit and pop-tarts. Sounds like the least effective diet ever!

Christine-my Half Marathon is April 27th. This will be the 3rd year in a row that I've done this one, and I LOVE IT and the course it awesome! Not to mention the stadium finish when they announce your name! LOVE THIS RACE! I'm going to try for a Personal Best at this half.

Tammy-my favorite standing hamstring stretch, actually, is the swan dive down and slowly roll up. Sitting/laying, I ESPECIALLY like using the band the way Cathe uses it in the first few minutes of that Stretch Max workout....one leg flat on floor, other leg straight up in the air with the band around the foot, then you pull on the band. I LOVE that section of that stretch! OH!!! Now I want to go do it!

Hello, to everybody else! I'm going to jinx myself, but MY KIDS ARE GETTING ALONG!!!! We did homework, then did a little bit of the latest Highlights Magazine. Then we did a little family project on the PC, and made invitations for them to invite friends over after school for Leap Year Day the 29th (planning pizza, snacks, drinks). Then they started dueling eachother using their Yu-Gi-Oh cards and they WEREN'T FIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! So I went outside and shovelled the walk and steps. And they were STILL NOT FIGHTING when I came in 20 minutes later!! Imagine that! HA!

I finally have a chance back at the PC. Yes, it's been a day off, but I've done BillPayMax, LaundryMax and VacuumMax. I also squeezed in Cardio Fusion, which was quite a sweat fest and my heart rate was up high the whole time. Did get that much needed haircut, ran a few errands, and now we're tyring to figure out how motivated we are for the rest of the night. Kids are happy just chilling here at home, playing with their stuff and not complaining about being bored. I'll take it!

We all fall of the wagon sometimes, some of us more than others. I'm pratically at the end of the 12 weeks. People are noticing and commenting, which keeps me motivated, in addition to all of you. I'm nowhere near the "miracle", but when I remind myself to focus on progress and not perfection, I am very proud of what I have accomplished. I've made "me" a priority. That's huge! A little bit here and there is ok, because we shouldn't deprive ourselves of the great things the life has to offer, and sometimes that food. So, I'll be around for another 13 weeks. I wouldn't have made it this far without all of you! When I fall off, one of you is always there to pick me up. I hope I do that occasionally for some of you.

Sherry-sounds like you got TONS done today! Love the feeling of having my house and my life ORGANIZED!

I'm up in the air for workouts, for the next few days. My training schedule has no miles for tomorrow, 6 easy miles Saturday and long run of 7 miles Sunday. I've also got lower body weights tomorrow. I'm thinking of doing this:

Friday: B&G + the extra work on that DVD like the leg presses, squats, etc (with all the miles I'm putting in this week, I think it best to do my 2nd leg workouts this week with an endurance workout)
Saturday: Long run of 7 miles OUTSIDE with my new GARMIN, baby!
Sunday: rest day

OR

Friday: B&G + those extras
Saturday: Cardio Kicks
Sunday: Long run of 7 miles

Not sure...we'll see!

Good night...headed to bed early tonight!
