BFL for Wed Feb 06th 2008

Good morning -- or should I say "afternoon" ladies!!

No, I didn't sleep in! I'm just swamped at work -- ugh!

I did PLB and added on the firewalkers from B&G. LOVE THEM!!

Belinda - Since I had in B&G doing the firewalkers, I thought of you and decided I'd better do some abs. So I clicked on "stability ball abs" on that DVD. Yikes -- those are tough - only got about 1/2 through it! I think I'm going to go back and pull out CoreMax instead. Yes, I did see you sweating to those low pulses -- I HATE low pulses -- that why I love PLB so much!! Ooohhhhh, I see you skipped abs too today -- now I feel better!! :)

Carolyn - glad your cold is better -- man, it's no fun to be sick and trying to work out!

Sherry - glad you are healthy too!! Don't worry about the weight, obviously it is TTM -- AND we are ALL going to be around longer -- it is called Body for LIFE!! I maxed out at 40 lbs. right along with you today! That was so fun to be able to keep up with Cathe!!!

Kathy - I am going to HAVE to buy that i-tread. "30 mintues just flew by" -- yes, that is what I need. You had me laughing .... and some "fun" toning! :)

Amelia - Hope you enjoyed PUB.

Stephanie - See my response to Belinda -- I HATE low pulses. :)

Heidi - Sorry about your kitty. How about a run for that headache -- thanks to you, that's what I do!! :)

Melissa - OUCH, an ear infection!! Those are killer! And by the way, YES we all "get" you!!!

Gayle -- Hope all is well! I can tell you've been busy today!!

BBL!
Michelle

Okay who saw Biggest Loser last night?? Wow, it is getting good! Jackie sure was "playing the game"! Also, how neat to see that by NOT eating, it only hurts you.

Also, attention GAYLE -- Survivor starts this Thursday!!! Set the TIVO!! Now, when are you going to try out for that show!! This is the one with the biggest fans you know! :)

Michelle

I missed the end of Biggest Loser. I wanted to cry when Brandy (? on spelling) lost 10 lbs!!!!

Did Trent end up going home or did they end up sending Jackie home?

Melissa,

All the guys except Dan teamed up against Jackie and voted her off. She and Dan voted for Trent. She took it really rough that Mark and Jim voted for her b/c they swore on their children;s lives that they wouldn't vote for her.

The saga continues!!

Carolyn

Ohhhhh, now it's getting good!!! Thanks Carolyn!

I missed the part where they show the loser at home. Did Jackie continue to lose weight?

They sent Jackie home (I was like....good riddance!) She was just so manipulative that it was funny how she got all defensive at the end telling off the two brothers. She was such a player and they played her, lol! *oops, that wasn't nice* (he,he!)

BBL for personals. :)

Kathy

Yeah, I couldn't believe Jackie walked right up to Trent and said, "You aren't going to be mad if we vote you off, are you?" And then made the brothers swear on their children NOT to vote for her. Are you kidding?! This is a game.

She did do well at home, and continued to lose weight. I do feel bad for her son. He is doing so good, I hope he continues with it.

I felt sooo bad for the yellow guy (can't remember his name) when he had to see his ex-wife's boyfriend tell her that he loved her.

Okay, if you don't watch this show, you are probably think -- man how strange! :)

Michelle

Now I'm all up-to-date! I did feel kind of bad for the yellow guy too, but there is something about him that bugs me. I think I'd like to see him go next. And, I'm pretty happy that Jackie went home. Something about her bugged me too.

Now, if they would only stop making the guys take their shirts off for the weigh-in. It's really not necessary. I mean, how much can that shirt possibly weigh?

Yeah, that was pretty heart renching to see him be so upset by Amy's BF telling her he missed and loved her. BUT she seems to have moved on and he needs to do the same (don't you think?)

Jackie did really well at home! I think they said she lost 70 lbs. to date. I also like Brandy alot, I hope she's in the final (her and her partner....I'm SO bad with names, lol).

Wasn't the cooking segment great? I really enjoyed seeing them alter the recipes to be more healthy.

Kathy

Edited to agree with Melissa about the T-Shirts. C'mon now, how much of a difference can they make!

I am laughing out loud about the guys and their shirts!!

I'm craving steak with blue cheese right now!! That looked awesome!

Michelle

good lord, ladies! LOL 30 posts already today? I haven't even read them yet and I'm overwhelmed! LOL Real quick post, then I'll go back and read it all!

I just got done with Leaner Legs. I'm sweating buckets and my quads are SCREAMIN' at me. I used a 55# barbell and 16.25# dbs for all the work. I've been slowly eeking the weights up there on this one, and today was another minor increase. Let me tell YOU.....it's TOUGH!

OK...now I'll go catch up on the day!

Gayle

Well helloooooo Gayle! We've been missing you today!

Way to go on "eeking" up the weights! I'd have to do much more than "eek" to get up to 55#! har har!

Ladies -- I've spent a lot of time reading over on the BFL sight. It is so inspiring! Wow, I can't believe most of us are in week 6! It is going by fast. I never dreamed it could really be this... easy. Yes, I said 'easy'. I have attempted this soooo many times before! Why didn't I keep it up?? I didn't have the motivation of you guys. Seriously -- knowing I have to check in with you makes all the difference. Knowing I would "see" some of you this morning in the gym -- I knew I HAD to get it done!!

Part of me can't wait until week 12. And another part of me is just enjoying the ride!! :)

Michelle

OK and all of you STOP TYPING! LOL I’m FINALLY all caught up!

What…did somebody forget to tell me that today was GS Legs Day???? lol

Belinda-give us some time, and YOU TOO will be addicted to iTreads and you’ll be craving more and more! LOL

Sherry-I’m glad to hear the household is healthy once again. Those 3# will come off quick, promise. And you hang here as much as you’d like! We love the company! I’m curious what you’re doing with your ‘score card’.

Kathy-I’ll be meeting you tomorrow morning for your iTread mish mosh of 26 and 27 drills. See you bright and early!

Heidi-I missed the fact that your cat is missing. How long now??? Sorry! And thanks for the ADVANCE wishes! LOL

Melissa-yeah, those that don’t “get it” frustrate me sometimes. Even the free stuff, they wouldn’t take, hugh? Imagine! ENJOY your new squat rack; does DH intend to use it at all? Now that he’s not the Human Squat Rack, you can go tandom on the workouts! (glad you’re feeling better today)

Stephanie-LOL “OH MY” really sums it up for GS Legs! LOL Too funny! Great job sticking it out thru the floor work.

Michelle-HOLY CRAP! THANK YOU for the Survivor tip! How in the WORLD did I miss that fact? I’ll go set the DVR right NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol As for the Biggest Loser, I was so glad to FINALLY see them focus on eating. It’s all been about pushing harder and harder in the gym, when we all know that it’s mostly in the kitchen that we make or break our progress.

Carolyn-I know there was something I wanted to comment on to you, but I'm in cath-up over drive and can't remember right now! LOL Sorry!

OK.....I need to catch my breath. My legs are quiverin!

I have to go get the boys from the bus in 2 minutes. We have NOTHING TONIGHT! So after homework, I'm going to make that soup that I was supposed to make yesterday. I'll post the recipe later as well. I'm also going to put chicken salsa in the crockpot to make some wraps.

As Michelle said, we need to enjoy the ride. And DO NOT THINK THAT THIS IS OVER AFTER 12 WEEKS, LADIES! This is just the BEGINNING! You may not want to do 110% BFL after these 12 weeks are over, but WE'RE BONDED NOW and WE'RE FAMILY, and we don't just walk away on family, right? We're all in this together!!!

Now....I have to take my sweaty head, quivering legs, and sore butt out the door to the busstop. BBL, PROMISE!

Gayle

Heidi, I am planning on doing, well maybe just listening ;), to Armed and Dangerous tomorrow and will post my thoughts and maybe a breakdown. My son wants to attend the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. (he graduates in 2010) To get in you have to have VERY good grades and pass all kinds of tests so it's a good incentive, but he is a lot like me, and you, in the fact that he likes to hang outside.

Gayle, way to go on Leaner Legs and the weight increase! WOOHOO! I'm planning on making Chicken Salsa tomorrow. :9 Thanks for the recipes!

Hi girls,

Just a quick check in before I go to bed!

Michelle** I also love those firewalkers in B& G! The other ab in B& G is tough you need to do them the next time! I was screaming for mercy! In my opinion that one is tough! Yes, I skipped my ab work today!

Melissa** thanks for keeping me updated on the Biggest loser! I am still watching shows that I watched 6 month ago in the states! Is that funny! I try to watch some shows like Martha Stewart on line! Thank goodness Guiding Light is only a few days behind!

Gayle** sorry for not letting you know today is GS leg day! LOL! Leaner legs I only did once! Isn’t it only 30 min. long? I need to pull that one out for next week! What are your plans for UB next week? I will do UB with you! My DH wants to go to the gym by 7 am tomorrow morning! I hope I will be awake! This morning I worked out before 10 am! That is an improvement! Since I am back in Germany, I can’t get myself to work out so early! I am up between 6-7 ( I talk to my kids before they go to bed!) am every morning! What is wrong with me! In the states I was done and over with my workout between 8-9 am!

I will catch up with your girls in the morning ( for you , when you sleep! LOL)!
Good night!
Belinda

Gayle - I keep forgetting that I have Leaner Legs. It's VHS, maybe that's why. I have to start looking on that shelf more often. The new squat rack is ALL MINE......}( }( !!! I keep hinting around that DH needs to start workin' on those chicken legs, but he ain't gettin' the hint!!! My legs are more muscular than his and I LIKE IT! He is in awe of my calves, but it's only because he doesn't have any!

Okay, I'm done...

ETA - Geesh, I'm all fired up today, huh?!?! First I start ranking on the Biggest Loser guys taking their shirts off, now my poor DH's chicken legs! What is wrong with me?!?! I'm going to blame it on my ear infection. I'm just not right in the head today!

Melissa - okay, can you stop bringing up the guys with their shirts off?! Geez!! har har!! (unless of course you are talking about Bob!) Good job on your calves! I did the calves from 4DS this morning -- those are killer! Hope your ear infection is doing better!

Michelle
