BFL for Thu Apr 17th 2008

Hi Michelle,

That makes sense to me...;-) I run to get rid of a headache and it is good for my lungs and heart. Walking is great for working those leg & Glute muscles which make them really defined. I just feel that there is really a big difference which muscles get used whether running or walking as fast as you can go. Don't forget those hills!

Speaking of headaches...how are you feeling now? I hope that it has eased up for you.:) Are you walking inside on the TM or running outside today? :7

Heidi - I hope it is as beautiful outside in your part of MA as it is in mine. I made the mistake of running an errand at lunch, now all I want to do is go home and work in the yard!

Michelle - yes, I definetly made out on the deal the last time I got laid off. I'm betting that chances are slim that that will happen again!! How was your Subway?

I stepped outside to have my lunch and would you believe my neighbor has their leaf blower going and blowing all their leaves right into my yard! I snuck up on her and pretended I was doing something with the trash cans and when she looked up you should have seen her face!:7 I guess she thought I would never notice! Even after I spent a whole evening in the dark mind you raking up my own. Geesh...the gaul of some people!

I finished my salad and now I have to run out to work. It is soooo nice out! Enjoy the rest of your day. I know I will with a smerk on my face seeing that ladies face in shock! :+

Heidi - NO SIR?!?!? I love that you snuck up on her. Did she end up taking back the leaves that she so nicely placed in your yard? ;) Hopefully she was embarrassed! I cannot wait to go home, change my clothes and head outside. I'm sure DD is swinging on her swings as we speak!!

What a turkey that women is. No...she must have been in shock seeing me there watching her. I told my DH and now I think it is time for that neighborly fence. Good fences make good neighbors and all that. Right?

Hey guys! I’m just sitting here enjoying reading all YOUR posts. It’s like a mini conversation…..hunger pangs, Subway, neighbors and their leaves, running vs walking! HMMMMMMMMMMM. Lots to think about.

I went for a power walk with my friend’s DH again today. 70 minutes and we hoofed it pretty fast. I forgot to wear my GPS again, but I promised to wear it tomorrow to gauge our pace and our distance. But I was thinking the same thing, about how DIFFERENTLY your leg muscles get used during walking vs running. My hip flexors really take a beating during these walks, and it’s the part on my body that I feel most afterward.

Heidi-GREAT JOB on iTread 9!!! I was on a runner’s high ALL DAY from it!

Stephanie-I exchange extract flavors all the time when I bake. It is such an EASY way to change the taste of something!

Melissa-You are not alone in eating ‘other’ things for breakfast! LOL This morning I had 3 oz of lean roast beef and a small piece of baked sweet potato!

Michelle-WOW! I re-read YOUR post a few times, about the fat/skinny jeans! You’re ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, too! (of course, you knew that, didn’t you? LOL) Now….go get RID of those fat jeans!

Hey Gayle, great powerwalk and AWESOME run today! I have been thinking of changing up my running to a bit of power-walking. Thanks for the confirmation that that's what I should do! I would love to feel a different "burn".

And oh, it was ME who challenged ya'll to MIS abs! He He He! }( Burn, baby, burn!

Glad you had a great walking workout! See...there is a big difference between running and walking fast. You'll be feeling this tomorrow I am sure!

I loved those ab workouts I did lately. MIS and PS. Tomorrow I am going to tack on 4DS abs.

Hey Heidi! My day has been okay...yada yada yada...I never worked out to a video/DVD today...just housework. My back has been acting up again. ;(

Man, you always double up on your workouts. You are an inspiration to me. :) I will attempt something tomorrow, just not sure yet which one!

No cleaning for me today, I kinda relaxt today! I am done with BFL UB workout on the Bowflex and getting ready for my cardio shortly! I didn't take a nap today, so I am very tired! I will be back for personals!

Hi Stephanie: Yeah...housework can be a real back killer in vacuuming and washing floors. Mine was really hurting the other day and took me a bit to straighen up again. :) That is a good workout in itself.

Hey Belinda: Nice job on your UB workout! This time change for you must be hard to get used too. If you can't muster up the energy...tomorrow is another day. ;-) It was really good for you to be able to relax today anyway seeing as you have been so busy with the house stuff.

Belinda, I felt your "throw it out" vibes and cleaned out my pantry and freezer. I actually have room now! I still need to go through my cabinets...I probably have things in there from...well, we won't go there! Thanks for the enthusiasm!

Hi everyone! Just a quick post...

Guess what I just found on the bottom shelf of my workout DVD's/VHS tapes???? CTX UB!!!! I think I bought it on ebay and I completely forgot that I had it. I'm going to put that in my rotation next week along with Leaner Legs. I don't think I've ever done that workout. I think I bought that one on ebay too.

Off to eat dinner.
 
Melissa, you lucky girl you! I don't have either one! Let me know how you like them! I may have to go shopping!

What's for supper? oh, I see...grilled chicken, sweet potato fries & steamed veggies. Yummy
