I think I will do LIS this afternoon! Who wants to join me?

Good morning Stephanie!

I would love to but I think I'll have to pass this time. I do think that I'll attempt a power walk, though. I was on my feet a fair amount yesterday and the toe still feels good.

I do have some major DOMS in my pecs, shoulders and even back this a.m. I love it! I feel like I'm back in the game.

Getting ready to do some billpyamx and get it out of the way for the day.

OK, can't do the billpaymax because the bank's system is "temporarily unavailable". Maybe I'll do so stretching to work the kinds out while I wait.

We are at the beach!! It took us 3 hours longer to get here than anticipted due to all the spring break traffic and the torrential rain storms we had the whole way (650 miles!!)

No workout for me today but I will be thinking of everyone as I enjoy the hot Florida sun, with sunscreen of course :D

Carolyn, I'm picturing the beach and warm sun! It's been raining here in NC for 3 days. Right now the temp is 46. Have fun for me!

Today is suppose to be a rest day but after my cheat day yesterday(that was suppose to be a cheat meal,LOL) I will do a 30min powerwalk and a 30min run interval! I just love doing my TM cardio because I can close the door to my bedroom and 'close out the world' so to speak:)

Today is a new challenge for me! It will last a week. I wrote it in my journal and I will tell you guys too!
First, To go all week without a cheat!
Second,squeeze in some extra cardio's and do my abbs atleast three times!
third, STAY OFF the scale until my WI day on saturday!

Here is my workout schedule for this week!

Sunday-Treadmill(60min)
monday-gs legs/ PUB abbs
Tuesday-Imax2,try to do all of it
wednsday-GS ub(back,shoulders,biceps)abbs
Thursday-Treadmill(60)
Friday-gs legs/abbs
saturday-Treadmill(60min),gs ub(chest&triceps)(aslo my WI/free day)
sunday-rest

So,the only hard day is on saturday and my DH will be home with the kids so i can concentrate. My main foucus is to go easy on myself,i think i got burned out on my last 12 week challenge :-(.

Amelia, great job on your journaling! Stay focused and take one day at a time! Great workout plan too! I peeked in on your other check-in group yesterday and saw you posted a picture of yourself. I like to put a face to a name too! I wish I could see what the rest of the gang (who don't have pics) looks like! hint, hint...

Hello Stephanie: LIS sounds like fun right about now. Maybe I can tack on my upper body workout that I didn’t do on Friday.

Hi Sherry: How are you? How’s the Kitty? Glad to hear your toe is recovering. Have a nice powerwalk and stretch. Nice job on the upper DOMS.

Speaking of toes…to add to my misery yesterday I smashed my toes into my DH’s air-pump tire in the hall. So on top of my blasting migraine my two small toes on my left foot were keeping me awake most of the night. I was trying to protect them from getting hit again. God does that smart!!!!
I tried to work off my headache late last night with iTread #1 40min powerwalking but to no avail.

Woke this morning at 6am and have been just doing laundry and dishes. I was searching the STS forum as well…came across the Gold’s Gym weight bench available on-line from Walmart. Nice price and my DH says I can get it!!! WOW! I never expected that!

Do any of you have this model? What do you think of it?

Wow Carolyn! At the beach you say? I wish it was sunny here but the clouds are still looming in the distance and threaten rain again. Have a nice relaxing day!

Yesterday was spent out shopping with kids and DH for youngest sons BD presents. First item on the list was his cell phone. Things are getting pretty busy for all of us and it just makes sense for him to have one now. Sometimes I am running late from work to pick him up after school or he decides to go out with friends bowling and a movie or something.
The other gift was his own guitar. We all play here and now he doesn't have to borrow his big brothers.

Today we will go to his favorite restaurant for dinner. I can't believe he is 13 all ready!

Morning!
Boy it was quiet here yesterday! I was having some internet problems for some reason. It would come and go and was just really frustrating. It must have been something to do with Comcast, ugh! Anyway, it was kind of nice to just step away from the computer for a day. ;)

This morning I felt like some fun cross training cardio. So here’s what I did:

Amy Bento’s standing abs
Amy Bento’s In the Ring Medicine Ball intervals (twice)
iTread 29 – iTri Reverse (new one!)
Spinning workout (30 minutes)
Re-did treadmill portion of iTri Reverse

Total workout time was 1 hour 50 minutes and I was drenched, love it! I only got 3+ miles of running in but it was fun to step back this week from all the running and enjoy some cross training. I’m hoping to get to the pool this afternoon (I took a rest day yesterday). It all depends on DH’s plans for the day. It’s pretty dreary and rainy outside, though.

Gayle – I totally understand yesterday, I’ve had plenty of long runs like that… Not every one of them is a winner but you feel so great just for getting through it! Great job!

Sherry – I’m glad your cat is getting better! Oh my, sometimes medications can have some adverse reactions we don’t even know can happen. Yeah, it’s incredible how expensive vet care is! Argh on the bank, it makes me so irritated when they have problems with bill pay.

Amelia – I love running (even on my treadmill) for the same reason. It gives me a chance to regroup and think about things that I normally put off thinking about, lol. Your plan for this week looks great!

Heidi – OUCH on your toes! I hope it’s a minor stub and your fine today. I have the Gold’s Gym and Melissa also has it. I’ll post a pic of it in my basement gym so you can get an idea of dimensions. It fits well because you can “turn” the bench out of the way and push it up against the squat rack. I LOVE it! It’s been some of the best fitness money I’ve spent…you won’t regret it, I promise! Oh, I've had it for about 9-10 months now.

Awesome workout this morning!

My toes are ok luckily! Just a little tender. I think I should be all set for a run or step workout.

Thank you! I thought I remembered that one of you had this item. I can't wait to get it! DS's are also excited because the other electric weight machine we have is broken most of the time. It also doesn't work on the downward or release muscles like using BB's or DB's. You pull the "pulleys" out but it automatically returns so it just isn't the same. This was the biggest complaint of my oldest DS.
Having a "catch" for the barbell is great and a lot safer too.

Oh...we fixed the problem with the tv issue. We got an adapter to fit the FM transmitter so now I can hear the Runnervals on my MP3 while on the treadmill without blasting the TV volume way up. Ya!!!



Anyway...just getting ready for my workout. BBL Heidi
 
Back from DD’s skating. Did my 2 mile powerwalk in 35 minutes and the toe isn’t complaining one bit! Oh, and I did ab 3 times this week, which is like a record for me since I always put it off and then it gets too late.

Boys are back from camp. Why does it have to be so obvious? Walked in the back door and just put everything down. Smells like some laundry is immediately on the agenda. At least the showers are done.


Amelia – You CAN focus for a week! Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts.

Carolyn – Enjoy the beach. I’m just happy to see the ice melting off the lakes up here.

Stephanie – I like to put faces to names, too. Now just where is Amelia’s pic?

Heidi – Oh no! Not your toes, too! Hope they don’t keep you down as long as mine have! I was shopping yesterday, too, with my DD. We hit the clearance racks at Kohl’s and she was quite the bargain finder.

Kathy – Your energy to push yourself is impressive. Not sure I’d be popping in that many different routines.


Kitty update: Her spunk is back. Now we just need to get her appetite going, recheck her liver levels later this week, and decide on the (more expensive than meds) course of action.

Off to round up the troops to clean up their stuff and get rolling on the little bit of homework that they do have before we go to dog training tonight.

Sherry, glad the kitty is feeling better! My DS goes camping all the time and just drops everything on the back porch or in the mud room! Makes me mad! Regarding Amelia's pic, look at yesterday's Challengers Saturday April 5 post. Amelia, I hope you don't mind! You are a doll!

Kathy, I love your workout room! I wish I didn't have to sabotage the living room! Have fun in the pool today!

Hi everyone. I hope you all had a nice weekend.

I just got home from being away and I'm so happy to be home! First thing I did (after giving DH a hug & kiss, of course) was get my BFL journal and plan my meals for tomorrow. Although I didn't really go overboard this weekend with my eating, I am feeling rather bloated and heavy. I need a good, long, sweaty workout. I'm about to go downstairs and do the step and intervals of BM2. I haven't done that one in a long time.

Back to check-in with my workout done. Ya!!!

I ended up doing Runnerval #1 easy intervals. What a sweat workout! I am so happy that the transmitter works now so everyone in the house can't hear what I am doing. I also did CTX back and chest. I was going to do all of the upper body but I was fried after just that! }( I used all the weights that Cathe used in this one.

Sherry: I am very happy to hear about your being able to do your workout without your toe complaining. Mine were a little tender at first but once I got running I was fine. ;-)
Awesome job in getting in your ab workouts at least 3 times this week. Now you have me checking....You have out done me! I only did abs twice! Going to have to fix that one.;)
