hey belinda, good afternoon! Do you and your sister have any special plans today? Great workout!

Today is my free/rest day,but im thinking about doing a 45min powerwalk on the TM! Just to help with the guilty feeling of the free day;-)

My WI was also this morning and as expected the scale didn't budge from yesterdays sneek peek WI. Im actually up .6,but I did do a very heavy weight workout yesterday! So im not worried about it! Im back down to what my ticker is saying now :)Can't wait unitl next weeks WI though! Im SO VERY proud of myself for going all week last week with perfect eating and great workouts!

I will try the beef and barely soup on sunday, and freeze it. Im also going to buy the ingredients for the bannana bread that everybody seems to be raving about....it sounds wonderful and so clean!!! My MIL wants a slice when its done,LOL!

How is everybody today? Any special plans today? Were taking the kids to a petting zoo later today. You guys should see how excited they are about it,sooooo cute!

Hey to everybody! :)

Belinda, have fun with your sister today! Great DOUBLE CARDIO workout too!

Amelia, great job on clean eating and all your workouts last week! Love the photo of your kids! Too cute! Have fun at the petting zoo!

Sorry for being MIA all last week. It was crazy!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good morning, ladies. I have to try to get this post in quickly. I have to shower, get everybody breakfast, then get us out the door for DS' basketball play off game! WE'RE PUMPED UP!

My workout this morning was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! To me, it really REALLY hits home, on the topic of mini goals and putting them all together to reach the ULTIMATE goal. Let me explain. I have 11 miles on today's long run schedule. Knowing I won't have anybody to watch my kids this weekend, my FIRST mini goal was to get up early enough today to run on the TM before the kids get up! DID IT! NExt goal was to do Cardio Coach Press Play Workout (the one that several of us do the last Saturday of the month?) for the first part of my run. DID IT, and logged 7 miles using CCPP! So that left me with 4 miles to do. I was sweaty, feet ached a bit, and a little voice was occassionally telling me to stop. NOT! Next mini goal? to reach mile 8, then 9. I knew at that point I was going to do all 11 with no problem. BUT...that just wasn't good enough, now was it? NOPE...not for me. I did some quick math and realized that if I didn't pick up the pace even just a little bit, the time ont he TM would go past 100 minutes, when the TM automatically stops. No big deal, just an inconvenience to start it back up again just to finish, what, 3/4 of a mile? NOPE! WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN, now will I? Quick math in my head, I set my next mini goal to finish all 11 miles BEFORE the clock turns to 100 minutes. BUT...somewhere between mile 8 and 9, I decided to REALLY challenge me and beat 99 minutes! LOL

LONG STORY SHORT.....11 miles, 98:50 time. Then I did plank work for several minutes and a nice long stretch!

Felt great! LOVE THAT CCPP workout (although I AM still an iTread addict!)

Sorry to hit and run.

Kathy is doing 20 today, right? BBL to check in on you all!

Good morning. Sounds like everyone is up and going.

I’m taking another down day due to my toe. I still won’t be doing any cardio for the next couple of weeks, not even power walking. I do think that by Monday I’ll be able to start doing some heavy lifting.

Belinda – I know you like that double cardio workout! Have fun with your sister today.

Amelia – Your kids are so cute! Have fun at the petting zoo. You should be proud of yourself with all the progress you’ve made so far. I’m sure the inches are still falling off even if the weight doesn’t seem to be.

Stephanie – Life does get crazy sometime. I’ve hardly been around lately also.

Gayle – Wonderful run this a.m. I use mini goals all the time, especially when I’m exhausted and need some motivation, like make it through this combo, then make it through the blasts, etc. I take it all signs of shin splints have gone away?

And to those who haven’t checked in yet:

Melissa – Fantastic that your pants are falling off! That will be so much fun to get new clothes!

Kathy – Enjoy our long run today!

Heidi – Your house always seems to have something going on. I hope you are able to get your workout in today. Thanks for being so concerned about my toe.

Hope I didn’t miss anyone.

Plans for the day are to figure out which dog treat recipe the dog training kids will be making tomorrow at our house. I need to figure out which recipe, and then make sure I have all of the ingredients, maybe even do a practice run. I have the cutest dog bone cookie cutter that I’ve used many times. but DH is making those pancakes with the apple again for breakfast here shortly.

BBL! Have a great day!

Hi everyone!

DH let me sleep in today...AHHHHH...I feel so rested and happy!:7 Not much on the agenda today, just grocery shopping.

Last night I ended up doing Imax 3 step only premix. It really didn't get my HR up so I added Imax 2 intervals 6, 7 & 9. Now those got my HR up!!! I feel really flabby today. ;( Not sure why...

So today is my last day of the Challenge...YAY, I made it!. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning and see what's what. I've been trying to decide how to start my next Challenge. This coming Friday, me, DD, my Mom, my Sister and my niece are all going away for a girls weekend. We are all so excited. So, I'm thinking that I won't take a rest/cheat day at all until then. Then start Challenge # 2 that Monday. I'm definetly taking measurements this time around.

Today I'm planning on doing UB & LB. I might do a circuit workout for a change. Maybe LIC.

BBL, off to put fabric softner in the washing machine. Have a great day everyone!!

Melissa-you've done FANTASTIC! Finishing, first off, if great! And you did it soooooo very well! You really have. You've changed several things, haven't you? Ask yourself what you've changed, BESIDES the size of your pants! LOL Seriously...the way you cook, how much you weigh, OK....the size of your pants NOT TO MENTION the size of your bras! lol What else! You've REALLY KICKED IT! I'm so very proud of you! I like the tentative plan you've made for Challenge 2. I need company during my 26 weeker, so COME RIGHT ON IN AGAIN! :) Really....GREAT JOB!

Sherry-yes, my shins were just fine this morning, thank goodness!

 I just looked at my training schedule and guess what? Today was supposed to be only 10 miles! LOL Oh well, one more won't hurt, right? NExt weekend I have 13 and then the 3 week taper (the BEST PART of training for ANY race! LOL). After this morning's run, I have SO MUCH CONFIDENCE for the half!

OK...back from basketball. DS's team lost, but it was an awesome game and they played really REALLY well! The score was 17 to 14 and it went down to the wire! I'm having meal 2 now. I didn't take anything with me, so I wasn't prepared...and I WAS NOT about to eat the hot dogs they were selling either! Time to head out in 15 minutes to go get younger DS!

BBL

Gayle - Thank you for the encouraging words! I am really proud of what I've accomplished as far as behavioral changes and commitment to the workouts. And the smaller pants is definetly a bonus! I'm just gonna KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON!!

I really want to feel that Challenge 1 - Week 1 excitement again though. I feel like it got lost somewhere along the way. One of the things that I am going to do this week is buy a new bikini. My DH is going to start taking my measurements for me for Challenge 2. That should keep me motivated to make those inches go down.

Off to the grocery store. It's going to be an expensive one this week. I have LOTS of food to prepare!

Melissa-Yeah....I'm putting off my grocery trip till the last dish from my freezer has been eaten! LOL I'm NOT looking forward to that grocery bill!

Challenge 2 EXCITEMENT! YES....that's always a toughie. You know what to expect, you know the pitfalls. The bikini and taking the measurements will REALLY help...especially those measurement! This link here:

It will take you right to the "weekly challenge guide". Each of the 12 weeks has its own link. Each of them addresses a different topic that you may (or may not) be feeling. I vowed to read this every single week of these next 12 weeks. Maybe that will help, even if just a little bit!

Stopping by - reading the last few posts and thinking that I need to restart Challenge #2 on Monday. The past week I've done nothing, the two weeks prior I worked too much to eat and exercise, so I've really gotten off track. The good thing is, I'm still where I was 5 weeks ago. So, I think Monday is a good day to start another round. That gives me tomorrow to fill the house with plenty of good food to avoid straying to the "dark side".

Ok, now off to figure out the dog treat recipes . . .
