I am done with my workout and my arms are quaking! P90X Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. I increased my weights from last week and WOW do I feel it again!

HOW IS EVERYBODY?

What are you shooting for today???

I, for one, am glad to be back to a normal schedule with school, work, sports, etc! ROUTINE! AHHHHHHHHHHH!

Belinda,GREAT workout already today! I too have to do lowerbody today...i don't like working my LB waaahaaaa...

Gayle-And you too,a great workout in already! i love that shaking,fried feeling after a really heavy weight workut }(. funny that you mention what goals we have for the week! I for one have a goal for today and for the week LOL

GOAL for today....to get through the day without cheating on easter candy or anything thats seems to scream my name

Goal for the week...eat and do my workouts with NO CHEATS and make it to saturday,my WI day.

My first goal is going to be hard,but I can do it! I have been having a hard time lately with family issues and ive been dealing with it the by emoitional eating x(....but thats stopping AS OF TODAY!

Today is my BACK ON TRACK DAY:) Anybody with me????


ok,todays workout is LB and Abbs on the bench and because of my guilt from all of those easter candies from yesterdayx(-a 30minute powerwalk on the TM.

I'm with you Amelia, NO EASTER CANDY today or for the rest of my life!!

My goal for today is to eat clean all day and workout with all I've got.

My goal for the week is to also eat clean and to lose 2 pounds. Drink my water and lose the bloated feeling.

Today will be legs and I'm gonna hit them hard!

Morning!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We had a great day! Now it's time to get back on track!

I did P90X Chest, Shoulders, Triceps + Ab Ripper X + ran 3 miles (using a Runerval). Oh, yesterday I forgot to report that I did a Johnny G Spin DVD (Ride On) + 30 minutes of Tracey Staehle's Walking Strong (love that workout!)

My goals for this challenge are to CLEAN up my eating!!! I had all the workouts in last challenge....I mean I was BANG on but my eating just shot it to heck, lol. I've got my lunch box packed with good food and I plan on no deviations!

Meal 1: Protein shake w/strawberries & banana
Meal 2: EFL quiche (crustless) + 1 cup Organic Bran Flakes & skim milk
Meal 3: Turkey breast + 1/2 cup brown rice + small tossed salad
Meal 4: Clif Mojo Organic Trail Mix bar + 1 cup watermelon
Meal 5: Steak + baked sweet potato + 1 cup veggies
Meal 6: cottage cheese & pineapple

:) Carolyn-yes....'issues' have cleared up and I'm ready to GOOOO!

Kathy-so.....are your arms feeling like MINE are? How about all those pushups? WOWzers!

OK....my goals for today:
1...drink my water (I've already downed over 1/2 gallon! LOL)
2...keep my meals AS PLANNED (see below)
3...if/when my mind starts to wander to non-clean eats, KEEP BUSY with projects on my to-do list!

Planned meals for today:
M1: 3 egg whites, slice w/w toast
M2: salsa chicken wrap, steamed asparagus
M3: 4 small protein pancakes (at work)
M4: Italian Dinner Soup
M5: grilled chicken, steamed green beans, small sweet potato
M6: apple, 2 string cheese!

Amelia – I am SO there with you! Ugh, Easter candy….blech! I fell off the wagon so hard yesterday I hit my head and I’m going to use that as my excuse for the awful eating I did yesterday. LOL! Not only did I have a big piece of cake but I topped it off with several Easter candies and my stomach felt horrible after! Good thing because it stopped me from eating more sh*t! :)

Carolyn – Great goals! Yeah, phoey to Easter candy, lol! Oh, thanks so much for your kind words, I still have some work to do!!!

Gayle – I wanted to say something regarding your personal problem from yesterday. I’ve been plagued off and on with them since I had my second son, too. Now I only get them when I’m constipated (yeah, TMI!) I try to eat lots of fiber to keep them at bay but sometimes even that doesn’t work. What I’ve found helpful are the “wipes.” As soon as you feel one coming on, start using them several times a day. HTH, I feel your pain!

Well, I did a silly thing to myself this weekend. I usually put Body Glide (anti-chaffing balm) on all my “hot spots” before long runs. I found a couple of new ones on my long run this weekend, lol. My MP3 player kept dragging my running pants down low and the hem inside kept sliding down until it was rubbing against my inner thigh. That area is raw and chaffed (plus I managed to get some chaffing under my boobs from either my heart rate monitor strap or sports bra). YIKES! Anyway, it’s off to the pharmacy during lunch to look get some Neosporin or some liquid band-aid.

I’m also thinking I’ll alternate weeks of P90X upper body with BFL upper body workouts. On weeks that have “two” upper body workouts, I’ll do P90X and on the other week I’ll do “one” full BFL upper body. I’ll see how this works until the marathon (which is only 6 weeks away now!)

Kathy-I was just thinking this EXACT SAME THING about the upper body workouts! EXACTLY! I think that's what I'm doing also! Great minds!

Thanks for the input on the wipes! Funny, too, because when I was dealing with the 'issue' this weekend, I eyed up my Body Glide and wondered if THAT would help any! LOL

Good morning everyone!! Am I the only one suffering from a sugar hang over this morning?x( I treated myself to some candy yesterday at my parents house and what a mistake. It tasted good going down but around 7 o'clock I started feeling sick to my stomach and I had a headache. It was awful. I'm pretty sure that the headache was from the 7 kids running around screaming, though! :p So today I'm feeling really bloated and icky and really tired.

So my goal for today: LOTS OF WATER! And try to STAY AWAKE!
My goal for the week: FINISH UP WEEK 12 WITH NOTHING BUT CLEAN MEALS AND HARD & HEAVY WORKOUTS!!

Today is supposed to be LB for me, but I really feel like getting in some serious cardio. I think I'll do both if I have the time.

M#1: 2 protein pancakes
M#2: applesauce oatmeal muffin (from Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Cookbook) & 3 egg whites
M#3: salad w/ 1/2 can white tuna & veggies
M#4: turkey wrap w/veggies
M#5: 4 oz haddock, 1/2 c brown rice & steamed green beans
M#6: protein shake (not sure what flavor yet)

Gayle: So glad to hear that you are back on track and feeling better. You got me laughing about that Body Glide comment! Mmmm I wonder if that would work? Good job on your upper workout!

Ameilia: Which LB and Ab workout do you think you'll do today? I didn't have any candy in the house yesterday so I am in the clear. We did not do anything for easter which is fine with me. ;-) The kids and everyone were pretty wiped out from last weeks hectic schedule and staying up way too late.

Hi Belinda: The never ending task of working on the third floor! I hope it gets done soon. Next big job....put in the hardwood flooring and tile the bathroom. I have to put primer on all the walls first before that happens though.

Good morning!

It’s a new week! Time to get recharged. I’m off work today so was all excited to go for a run, as there are now 8 weeks until the 5K and I’m in no way prepared. But last night I stubbed my left middle toe on a chair, and this morning it’s still sore even just walking and balancing, so I’ll be doing PUB here shortly.

Goal for today – get back on track with clean eating and a hard workout.

Goal for the week – keep on schedule with my workouts and meals

Sounds like you all had a nice Easter, even if there was a bit too much candy being passed around!


Belinda – Great workout this morning. I’m sure you’ll finish out week 12 just grand!

Gayle – Goals for today and the week are like I said above, get back on track. Working out and eating clean need to become part of my normal routine again.

Amelia – I’m with you on the stress eating and getting back on track! Don’t think I can join you on the walk, though. Maybe tomorrow.

Carolyn – I’ll join you on those 2 pounds.

Kathy – GREAT progress pics! Are you starting another round of 12 weeks? O yeah, body glide is great for cycling, too (preferred by some over butt butter!).

Melissa – Oh, that sugar can get to you when you aren’t used to it. Caffeine does it to me. A coke at lunch and I can’t go to bed that night!

Heidi – Enjoy your workout, and hope that your house is now a bit quieter!

Hey girls:)

Oh boy did I do a doosey of a workout today:7 .I started with abbs off the bench(which included rocket shoots:+) then did a BFL style workout that im VERY proud of! I increased my weight agian on all of it included 70lb squats,60lb lounges/pleas/leg press...then I did some calve raises off the step. Then I jumped on the TM and did a Inclined interval powerwalk. With the highest incline @ 10%:eek:...i didn't know I could do it?LOL

Carolyn-Good luck with your challenge...I think the easter bunny got alot of us yesterday,LOL! I have some easter candy on the table but its weird that I just have NO desire to eat. Have fun with your workout!

Kathy-LOL,i too had a terrible tummy ache yesterday which prevented me from eating anymore of those blasted cadbury mini eggs. Darn easter bunnie}( I hope you get to feeling better soon,and the neosporin works good for you!

Melissa-have fun with your workout today! I too have a candy hangoverx(

Melissa-not really a sugar hangover, but listen to this! LOL For Easter dessert, I made double layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and a peanut butter pie. Can you say YUMMO? I treated myself to a slice of EACH last night after the kiddos went to bed, so we’re talking about around 8:30ish! WELL…when I laid down in bed at 11pm, my heart was RACING a mile a minute and I couldn’t settle down! Keeping in mind that I don’t drink any coffee, tea or soda, the caffeine in the chocolate cake had me WIRED all night! LOL NOW………………KICK THIS WEEK IN THE GUT, will ya???

Belinda-CONGRATS to you too for getting to week 12!!!! Doesn’t it seem like just yesterday that it was week 1????? AWESOME JOB!

The weather is GORGEOUS OUT THERE! I promised DS that I'd throw baseball with him after school, and then I think I'll tack on a bike ride for them!

Listen to this fun thing we're doing starting today! The kids are always asking to workout with me. So, several weeks ago, I bought a deck of cards called "Fit Deck Jr". It's a set of cards, and each card has a different exercise move on it. Other cards have a rep number. You pick one of each and do that exercise move for that many reps! So we're going to start using that also! They love it!

Workout over - PUB. Was debating about moving up in weights, but stayed at the same place and focussed on form.

Amelia - Great workout today! I'm exhausted just reading it!

Gayle - Caffeine gets me so wired, too. One coke at lunch and I own't be able to get to sleep. The exercise cards sound cool. Where did you get them?

Now, time to start taxes - then off to see Horton Hears a Who.
