Good morning ladies,

I am done with my workout! I went to the gym with my DH and did BFL upper body! Next time I go without my DH! I wanted him to spot me, since I don’t have a barbell! I had to wait until he was done with his workout! Why take him? No use! LOL!

Good morning! Day off from school and work at this house.

Slept in. Stayed up past midnight reading The Other Boylen Girl. All ready to do Pyramid LBWO, then realized that there are still Legos all on the floor. That's what can happen when the family room doubles as my workout room. some day we'll get the basement set up.

DS should be up soon. I'll have him clean it up then.

Anyone else get their workout in yet.

Belinda: That is way too funny that expecting your DH to spot you but of course his workout came first...Geesh Guys!

Hi Belinda: I know what you mean about the dents and scrapes on the walls...I feel for you big time! My house is still being worked on and the guys and their ladders and so forth keep putting holes in things that were just fixed. I gave up and told DH that I will fix and paint when all contractors are out of the house.

Which leg workout are you planning on today? Ooops have you done today...it is after 8am here already.

Hi Stranger..Susan Good to hear from you and that everyone is doing fine. Wow that is a big baby no wonder she took a little while. That is a really pretty name too.

I know you can keep it clean.... just planning ahead a little will make it happen for sure.

I also slept in today. DH is still sleeping and DS has no school also.

I know what you mean about the exercise room thing...my weights and barbell are always moved and I have to hunt for them first thing. It is so aggravating when you just want to get to it.x(

Belinda - Great heavy weights! I know what you mean about working out with DH. It throws my tempo off, and my space.

Heidi - What are you having done to your house? Not sure I could handle people underfoot. We installed the hardwood floors ourselves. Took about a month of weekends, but we did the entire 1st floor.

Still waiting for DS to wake up and clean up the Legos . . .
 
Belinda – Great workout! You’re really lifting some heavy weights, wow! I hear ya on DH’s helping.

Sherry – Ugh, I hate when there’s stuff all over my workout area. It takes more time to clean up than to just workout! I downloaded a couple of audio books this weekend. We subscribe to audible.com and they had a book Michelle recommended “The Time Traveler’s Wife” (unabridged) so I picked it up. I was going to go to Borders for the book but figured I’d use one of our member credits instead. Great listen so far!

Heidi – My DH and son’s are all nice and cozy at home too while I sit here at work, ugh! I did put something good in the crockpot before I left, though.

Today I did a BFL Lower Body workout (upping the weights in a couple of exercises) + Amy Bento abs + iTread 25 (since everyone was upstairs sleeping and there was no rush to get up there!)

I packed my foods for today and just had a piece of EFL quiche and a breakfast cookie (yum!)

Ooops, came back to add that the movie “Cloverfield” was entertaining. The filming took some getting used to but it got pretty good after you figured out the characters. Some people hated it while other’s like it, guess it’s one of those movies, lol.

I am sitting here doing paperwork from home today.

Everyone is still sleeping in too. I guess I should go workout...but I am not quite awake yet.

We had an addition put onto the house which included another cellar. 1st cellar is for utility purposes and the other is for recreation.
We ended up with that plus an open 1st floor dining,den reading area with fireplace. The 2nd floor has two extra bedrooms. The 3rd floor area has the master bath with walk in closet, office and a study. The roof was taken off the original house and heightened to make for the master bedroom with 4 skylights.

This has become quite the project and I can't wait for the guys to go away and leave me in peace. ;-) After the sheetrock guys we have the flooring and tiling people. Hopefully that will be the end.

We would do the flooring ourselves but the whole house is now hardwood and it was more practical to just have them come in and get it done.

It is a good thing DH and I are handy...we did all the electric and plumbing and saved a bundle for sure. Painting is also my thing to do like Gayle. When we first built this house we did it all and now I just can't do anymore sheetrocking...it reeked havoc with my shoulder.

So this is the project we have been working on since the kids were young. We started with a summer cottage that had well water and ended up with getting city water put up the road for us as well as our neighbors. We also had to have a new septic system put in that was up to the new codes. These city projects take lots of time...years in fact. So having lots of patience is definitely a plus. :7

Good morning ladies! Later than usual post for me. My kids each had a friend stay over last night, and the CHEF this morning made a large batch of pancakes. Last night I made them sleep up in the bedrooms (they usually sleep in the living room), because I didn't want them to hear me in the basement early this morning! LOL

This morning's workout PUB and I increased my shoulder work (now using 6/9/11/9/6 for that pyramid) and biceps (now using 13/16/21/16/13). I was hurtin'! I think what makes PUB tough is the way she goes immediately into the next round with no rest between sets! ANYWAY....I'll take it. I'm sporting some DOMS from yesterday morning's Power Yoga! LOL I get it everytime from that workout and LOVE it!

I'm enjoying my egg quiches...this time I made it with a box of cauliflower and it's yummy!

Belinda-great workout. Even if DH couldn't/didn't spot you! LOL At least he's going with you, right???

Sherry-I LOVED THAT BOOK! How far into it are you? I've got another book by her on my To-Read list and it's coming up soon! ENJOY THAT BOOK! CONGRATS to your friend too!

Heidi-ENJOY that workout! OHHHHH…get that mp3 up and RUNNING….literally! LOL House projects are a great thing, as long as things go smoothly! LOL And WOW….YOUR project sounds HUGE! LOL

Kathy-Time Traveller’s Wife is ANOTHER good book. (Michelle and I are learning that we like the same things, lol). Did somebody say breakfast COOKIE? LOL OH….and iTread 25…..love that workout!

OK…yesterday’s Free Day was a complete FREE DAY! All day long, and I AM GOING TO STOP THAT! I know having/eating anything you want is ‘allowed’ in the program, but I think I take it to the extreme. lol Starting today, also, I’m REFOCUSSING on portions. I think my portion sizes are getting too liberal and I need to keep that in check. Free Day from NOW ON, will be planned meals, even if they ARE splurge meals. Instead of it being an eat-all-day-long type of day, I will have Free Day have PLANNED meals and controlled portions, just like every other day.

Good morning everyone! DD and I slept in this morning...ahhhh, felt good!!:7 . She's actually still sleeping!!

I have to say that I didn't really enjoy my Free Day all that much yesterday. I kind of missed the structure of knowing what I was going to eat even though that is one of the things I was really looking forward too..:eek: . Does that make any sense? I ended up having peanut butter toast and a glass of milk for breakfast. Then went on to eat two of DD's pancakes (real pancakes). I felt really full and uncomfortable. Still felt that way around lunchtime, so I ended up having a small protein shake before leaving the house. A couple of crackers at my nephew's bday party. Then on the way home we went out for dinner and I told myself I could have whatever I wanted on the menu. CHEESEBURGER!!!:9 It was really good, but I felt awful for the rest of the night. Gotta start rethinking Free Day's...

Okay, gotta go drag DD out of bed or she will never get back on track for school!

Yeah, Melissa....I'm with you on RETHINKING Free Day. Like I said, from now on, I am going to PLAN 6 meals or snacks for Free Day. Even if those meals and snacks are FREE food, I will plan them and then have CONTROLLED PORTIONS of them. No more eating the WHOLE bag of Chex Mix for this gal! HA!

Good Morning,

Yesterday was my free day as well. I ate pretty well yesterday. Could have done better at dinner, but it was FREE DAY!

This morning I did S/H chest and back. I don't think I've ever done
that one before. I will be feeling DOMS tomorrow for sure.

Melissa - Not sure if you got my email about the RT pics or not. I need a physical address to send prints since my laptop won't open the cd.

Gayle -Congrats on the body fat loss. What do you use to measure with? I need to start measuring that as well.

Heidi – Wow, it’s tough to live in a house that’s got lots of remodeling going on! We sold our house (after 16 yrs.) last year but had to fix it up first. We spent 6 months re-doing the bathroom, painting, kitchen updating, yard clean up, etc. I was SO happy when we sold, lol!

Gayle – Great job with PUB! I agree, no rest periods between sets makes a huge difference! I’m actually enjoying the BFL workouts….for now, lol. I keep my mind busy between sets by setting up and recording what I just did in the journal. Oh, and I always have a DVD playing in the background for company!

Melissa & Gayle – Yeah, I’m more of a picker during free day than anything. I’ll have a couple of bites of this or that….or a complete off plan meal. I think I still have the Leanness Lifestyle mentality of a splurge meal versus a splurge day. I just can’t do it, lol!

Belinda – Your workout looked great to me. Are you lifting 50 lb. dumbbells or (2) 25 lb. dumbbells for chest press?

Kathy**I was lifting (2)25 lb. dumbbells for chest press! I wanted to lift more, but since my DH did his own workout I stayed with a weight I could lift on my own! I am not that strong yet!

Hi ladies!!! I'm here!!!

Wow, why on earth did I tell myself I couldn't post until I worked out?!!! It seemed smart at the time!! :)

I had to work today. Kiddos were off and had a babysitter. So, I thought I'd sleep in a little -- hey, don't judge, I see all of you slept in as well!!!

So, all day at work I couldn't post. How boring!! :) And all day I worried about my workout. Will I get it in, I must get it in.... oh yeah, this is why I decided I MUST workout in the mornings.

I got home from work, threw on the work out clothes and just finished PUB. YES, it is done!!! I WILL NOT miss a workout. I did scold my kids twice because they kept interrupting. Geez, that will ruin a workout -- now I need to go check on them!! :(

I will NOT do this again. Tomorrow I will see you at 4:30!!!

Gayle - Wish you were my chef!! :) You know I think I need to adjust my portions EVERYDAY. I'm not losing, and I think that is why.

Melissa - I felt horrible all night too -- that pizza just sat in my stomach all night. It's funny we all can't wait for FREE day. It's like kids on Halloween who can't wait and then are sick all night.

Carolyn - I haven't done S/H chest & back. Hope you liked it and I hope you have DOMS tomorrow!!!

Jean - Hope your UB workout was good -- mine was -- I'm still shaking.

Hi everyone. Just finished my LB workout. Wow, something about the sequence in Push Pull lower body really gets me. This time I did LB premix 3x and really maxxed out on the weights. Then, as if that wasn't enough torture, my DD banged her ankle going up the stairs and I had to carry her up...x( . I seriously didn't think I was going to make it. My thighs are still trembling!

Can you tell that I didn't have to work today?! I couldn't post as much. What does it say when I have more time to post on workdays?!?! Maybe I should be doing more work while at work....NAH!!! That would be no fun!!:+

Okay, here are my meals. I also drank nothing buy water today. That was one of my daily goals. The other was doing PP LB 3x (last time I did PP LB 2x) and up my weights. All goals met for today...YAY!!!

M#1: one small (very small:( ) red potato & one serving egg white quiche
M#2: apple & string cheese
M#3: salad w/ veggies, 1T edamame, 1T kidney beans, 1T cranberries
M#4: beef & barley soup
M#5: protein shake w/frozen berries
M#6: no clue & not sure if I'll be able to fit it in since I didn't get my first meal in until 10:00 am, which is usually my second meal.
