Im going to reread yesterdays post since i didn't get a chance to pop back in last night;-) BRB!

Melissa-Yay on buying new cloths soon!! ...i too need some new clothes,my jeans aren't falling off like yours though,alomst there. Ive been putting off buying smaller bra's for some time nowx( i don't wanna,there disappearing;( ;-)

Gayle-Im crossing my fingers for your sons bb game this week! It must be exciting to watch them play!

Kathy-glad to hear your family is doing well,and that you and your DH are able to sleep. I know what its like to sleep beside somebody that snores:+.

Hi Belinda! WORK THOSE LEGS, girl!

Happy Friday! What are your plans for this weekend? Jacob's basketball play-off game is Saturday at 11am, and that's pretty much it for our calendar! Workout-wise, tomorrow is Cardio Coach Press Play Saturday, and I'm going to do it on the TM! I figure it will count as my long run, and I'll just tack on mileage at the end to hit 11 (I think I have 11 miles this weekend...I'll need to check). Then Sunday, I may take a rest day or do yoga.

Workout IS DONE! I did P90X Back & Biceps. We'll see what kind of DOMS THAT creates!

Headed to hit the shower, then off to clean my friend's house (her husband had surgery so I didn't clean for 2 weeks, so I'm going in twice this week....and getting PAID TWICE too! LOL)

Amelia: I know just how you feel....my DH snores too! I was awake again this morning at 3am! Aggggh! What is with this waking up at that time.

Yesterday's Step Blast was great for the 3 combos that I got through but got confused towards the end and gave up. I should have re-done 1 & 2 or something. I didn't get in my run last night either.:-(
But I did get out shopping with DD for some new undies...(Macy's)at a savings of 60% off! Gee...to get all excited about new undies is kinda funny huh.;-)
We also went grocery shopping and I got a lot of clean-eating stuff to make meals ahead. So today I will be baking and cooking for the most part.

Didn't have a chance to post yesterday. I had a tennis match, lost, and then was really busy when I got home.

Today is GS BSB and abs.

I threw away all the easter candy this morning. I ended up eating 20 pieces of the crap yesterday, don't know why, it wasn't even that good. I thing I was having an out of body experience.

I have sucessfully found all the weight I lost during the first 9 weeks of the challenge. Can you say "BIGGEST LOSER". Yep, that's me!
I feel I get too uncomfortable with my weight loss and the compliments and then I always, always sabatoge myself. I think I need professional help.

Off to workout, sorry for the pity party.

Morning!
Today was a rest day for me and although my body needs it, I still feel restless. Yikes! Anyway tomorrow is my 20 mile long run which I’ll do out on the jog path. The weather forecast is for rain this evening but clearing up tomorrow morning. I’m hoping that it’s not too cold!

Belinda – Wow, it must be so hard to have your children so far away! I read your post yesterday and completely understand how tough it is to let them go out on their own. DD moved out when she was 21 and I miss her so much! What is Alesia’s degree in? What type of job is she looking for?

Sherry – Thanks so much for your pancake recipe! I’m going to try them on Sunday. I hope your toe is starting to heal!

Melissa – Your post about your daughter had me laughing. It’s unreal how much they pick up, isn’t it? LOL, by the time she’s ready to date I’m sure there will be lots more ways to meet people. Look how far we’ve come in the last 10 years!

Gayle – Good luck to Jacob’s team! It looks like you have a crazy schedule for the next few weeks but it’s always so much fun to watch them play sports. I’m sure you’ll be a great PTA president (and if anyone opposes you, we’ll all have to come down to your town and vote for you). ;)

Heidi – Man, I need some new underwear desperately, lol! I just bought some running socks at Dick’s the other day and I’m really not thrilled with them. My “lucky” socks got a hole in the toe last weekend….sob! I’ve wore these in ALL my long distance races and my really long runs (I’ve had them for about 3 years and they were THE best socks!) I got them from www.roadrunnersports.com but they don’t make them anymore. Anyway, I tried to patch them with super glue (don’t laugh….I was desperate), but that didn’t work.

Amelia – DH is so LOUD! I mean he’s like shaking the bed and walls, lol! I am such a deep sleeper that if he’s waking me up, then it’s BAD! Enjoy PLB!

Carolyn – Good for you for throwing it out! Don’t feel bad, this is definitely a learning experience. All you have to do is pick yourself up and get going again! And you are NOT a loser, you are a wonderful person that had a slip up.

Carolyn - the Easter candy is just pure evil. ^^^5's on throwing it out. The other night after DD went to bed I went through all of her Easter loot and put all the candy in the cabinet. After I was done I thought to myself "wow, I just went through all that and I wasn't even tempted to eat any!". But then of course as soon as I realized that, I couldn't get the darn candy off of my mind. ARGHHHH!!!

Kathy - when she said "eHarmony", I just lost it. Have a great day!

Heidi - never under estimate the power of new underwear!! It's the little things that make us happy, isn't it?!

Amelia - have fun with PLB. Oh and I keep meaning to tell you that your avatar is beautiful!!!

Hi to anyone I missed!

I wasn't feeling all that great last night so I didn't do cardio. I think I'll do it tonight and either tack on LB after or push LB off until tomorrow. I helped DD with her book project instead. She is Sacagawea (? on spelling). She made a feather necklace and I put her hair in braids this morning. She looked so cute. I just realized that I didn't even think to take a picture.;(

BBL after I get some work done. "Get some work done"...that's funny!!:+

I got done with GS legs(did that instead of PLB)did all the standing work and is shaking like a polaroid picture! Lifted heavy too. Man I don't like the word hate but I HATE those slow motion lounges,they will kill a gal;-)

Hi girls,

I just got my workout done and it is past 5:30 pm! I did BFL style LB! DH wasn’t home to help me so I used to 2 chairs as a squat rack (I put heavy weights on the chairs)! It worked! It probability was not very smart, put it worked! I was up at 4:30 a.m this morning, by 10 a.m . Around lunchtime I was so tired. I went and took a 2 hour nap! I am so behind today! I still have to clean my house, my sister is coming for the weekend! Put at least I got my workout in!

Off to the shower! I will be back for personals!

Man, this weather makes me want to go home and take a nap. It's cold and rainy and snowy...ick!

I realized a few minutes ago that we have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING going on this weekend...YAY! So I've been making a mental list of everything I'm going to cook: protein pancakes, turkey black bean chili, banana applesauce bread (maybe in muffin form), grilled chicken for salads & wraps. Maybe some beef & barley soup too. I haven't made that in a while.

Has anyone ever tried freezing a protein shake and eating it like iced cream? I think I read it in the Oxygen magazine. I might try it this weekend. I'll let you know how it comes out.
 
Melissa, I've never tried it but it does sound like a good idea!

Okay, here's a question for you all. Alot of us have been big batch cooking and freezing/refrigerating our meals. Do you all reheat them in the microwave using the plastic storage containers? The thread in OD has me rethinking that...I'd hate to have all that plastic running around in my system!!! :eek: They say that reheating in the microwave using plastic can cause it to breakdown into your food. :(

Now I'm thinking I'll go buy some microwaveable bowls and dishes that aren't made of plastic and keep some at work. What do you think?

Kathy - I have a set of dishes that I keep here at work that I use. I store almost everything in ziploc bags since it takes up less space in the refridgerator. I'll let you know how the "protein iced cream" comes out!
 
Belinda – GREAT workout! That’s pretty clever to use two chairs! That’s a great degree for Alesia…but if I worked at Costco they would probably get all my paycheck because I’d spend it all there, lol. My daughter lives about 15 miles away but I still only get to see her a few times a month because she’s so busy. I miss her too!!!

Amelia – Yeah….those slow lunges are killer! You and Belinda wanna clean my house when you’re done? ;)

Melissa – Now that’s a smart idea! I think I’ll do the same and put everything in plastic bags. Do you use the freezer ones for soups and “liquidy” stuff? I like how frozen food usually “slides” out of baggies versus plastic containers. I’d have to let them sit at room temperature to thaw the edges before putting them in another dish now but the baggies would be quicker.

Hey guys! Sorry, but I have to be quick.....4 boys and 1 girl running around the house shooting each other (and ME) with Nerf dart guns! LOL

Kathy-I always (ok, 95% of the time) reheat my food in a ceramic or glass or whatever bowl....not plastic!

Melissa-I'll be waiting to see how your protein ice cream comes out!

Kathy - yes, I use the freezer bags for soups and chili. Pretty much everything else just goes in a sandwich bag or those little snack-size bags. Also, if I end up taking something frozen to work, I just let it sit out and by lunchtime it has softened up enough to come out of the bag easily.
 
Melissa,great idea-frozen icecream protien shake!! Is that beef and barely soup good? Ive never tried it but always wanted too!

Kathy-well,being that my house still isn't done(x()....i may not make it to yours,LOL. Ive still got laundry and dang,i hate organizing this computer area but im afraid i can't put it off anymore x(
