Gayle, great job on the heavy weights AND the weight loss! Holy crap, girl! Ten pounds??? That rocks!! I alss find myself needing more weight, so I've been looking on ebay at the Bowflex Selecttech 552 dumbbells. They're expensive, but I'm still bidding. I figure I'll probably never need more than a 52 pound dumbell, and it's nice that you don't need like...20 different sets...just that one set, so I'm starting to be able to rationalize the cost. I won't pay as much as Bowflex wants for them, which is $400 before shipping, but if I can get them for just around $200 before shipping on eBay, I might take the leap.
Kerry, awesome job meeting your goals this week. Time is the biggest factor that works against meeting my own, and it's so easy to opt for something other than a workout when you're running short on time. I know exactly how accomplished you feel, because I'm right there with you!!
Teddygirl, Sam's club is in my near future, too. It's so easy to overspend there, but if I go with a list I'm usually okay.
Jill, I hope you clear up that insomnia thing. I know that I suffer the most when I have new changes in my life. I hate to say it, but I haven't found a real solution other than riding it out. ;(
Veronika, did you ever find a way to make your barbell more comfortable? The one I have is an oooollllldd one that came with my BodyPump video, and it only weighs about four pounds. It works okay for me. Maybe a lighter barbell would make a difference for you? I don't know. But I hear the Troy Lite barbell is only five pounds or something.
Okay, sorry so long...but hopefully I'm caught up now! Catch ya later, chicas!
