best running sneakers for knee/joint support?

Hello all!

Can anyone recommend the best pair of running sneakers that will help prevent knee/joint injury?

I want to buy a new pair this weekend!

Thank you! :)

Just go to a reputable running store (I go to a locally owned one, but have heard good things about Fleet Feet? I think was the name...). Make sure to tell them how many miles you plan on running, where you run (treadmill, outdoors, hills, etc), and they can give you lots of shoes to try on. Make sure they're a bit roomy in the toe box (at least half a size larger than your regular shoes).

I'm an Asics girl (GT-2110's are the only ones that work for me so I don't get black toenails- yuck!). But every foot is different so try on a whole bunch of pairs to see what works for your feet!!

A reputable specialty store is the way to go! They should offer a 30 day *no questions* return policy. In other words, try them for a month and if they don't work, return/exchange, whatever you want!

Let us know what you get!
