best birthday gift???

I know this is waaaaay off topic, but from what I've read lately, you guys are open to anything ;-) What's the best birthday gift you've gotten? A couple of my childhood friends and I are having dinner in a few weeks to celebrate us all turning 40 this year, and I'd like to get them both something special. Any ideas??

For the first birthday with my DH (who was a boyfriend at the time), he gave me a microwave oven for my apartment and a watercolor painting he did of Monument Valley. The painting was my favorite birthday present ever. It was his first watercolor (he was always a pencil and chalk artist) and it's very good. I spent a small fortune getting a gorgeous frame for it and now it's hanging over my desk in my office. I had to move it from my living room because all he sees when he looks at it are his mistakes. I have yet to figure out what those mistakes are. It looks perfect to me.
