Amy Bento has just announced her Dynamic Series line up of 7 DVDs to be filmed between this Winter and next Fall. Must be something there for everyone.

Personally I'm thrilled to see a Drop Sets approach to weight lifting. It's a first!

Kettlebellers: check it out!!

I'm definitely interested in the Drop Sets workout. I love Amy's weight work. I'm also curious about Amy's twist on a walking workout and love hip hop, so I will be watching for more details on that one too.

Ever since my injury Amy's cardio and I just have not got along well, so I will be passing on all of her cardio and that stretching DVD.

Here's the list of workouts, for those of you who aren't members of her forum:

1.Kettlebell Dynamics . Advanced kettlebell training including 3, 20-minute workouts and a short tutorial chapter.

(I'll have to try her other KB workout first--which should be out soon, shouldn't it? --to see if I like her approach to it).

2. Dynamic Flexibility.
This one was done after "many creative meetings between Amy and Calasanz". Includes three, 20-minute flexibility training routiines: standing, seated and floor.

(Since I didn't care much for the "Calasanz-inspired" stretch in "Rumble," I think I'll pass on this one).

3. Drop Sets Dynamics.
Tradition gym-style exercises with Amy's creative touch. According to Amy "1 Drop set represents 3 parts with different rep counts and different weight selection. Example: Your first rep set will consist of 6 to 8 reps performed at your heaviest weight selection, without hesitation you will pick up the medium weight selection and continue doing 10 to 12 more reps. Lastly, you will pick up your lightest weight selection performing 15 to 16 reps to complete 1 set. " The DVD will have 8 premixes, including four- and three-day splits.

4. Split Decision. Cardio kickboxing à la her pre-Rumble stuff. With more advanced combinations and driving beets. According to Amy: "You will perform 4 high intensity advanced kickbox combinations (similar in style to KBX&ITR) followed by an intense but simplified drill using a medicine ball. In these four drills you will get both upper and lower body work."

(hmm...if th e"advanced combinations" are kickboxing combos, I might go for these. If they are adding in hi-lo 'stuff,' I may just pass on these as well, though I do like the fact that she's going to include a bonus 15-minte drill-style heavy bag segment. I really liked the way she choreographed the one in "Rumble").

5.Hip Hop Walk Dynamics .

6. Dome Dynamics. A Cardio workout on the Bosu (why can't Amy use the term "Bosu"? Other instructors do. Do you have to pay to use the word?)

7. Hi/lo Dynamics.

The presale prices on these are excellent, as Amy's workouts always are, and even the regular prices are great on some.

I'm plan on preordering Drop Sets(SUPER excited about this), Split Decision (SO glad she's going back to more intense and fun kickboxing), Dome, and HiLo.

I plan to get those same ones. A little bummed it's so far off. I thought they were already in progress or something and coming OUT this fall? oh well. I'll have to catch the presale prices. :)

I've never done bosu, but have been toying with getting one -- the older I get the more I realize I need to work on my balance! Anyway, does anyone have a feel for whether or not her bosu work would have hard choreography like a lot her cardio stuff? I just cannot do her cardio so I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to do this either, but curious.....
