It's 2:30 pm and I've just finished my mega calorie burn session. Well, mega for me anyway.

Today was KP-Cardio only, then power hour.

I was going to post my rotation for this week, but I have to adjust it cause I did power hour today to make up for not doing it yesterday. I also want to replace tracie's workout for something else.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Today is my rest day. I forgot to mention yesterday that I ordered Leslie Sansone 5 mile from Collage Video. It will ship on Tuesday first class mail! :) Here is my rotation for the week:

Sun - Rest
Mon - LIS (40min) + Sculpting (27min)
Tues - KPC/Blocks & Kicks (51 min)
Wed - Supersets (53min)
Thurs - Step Heat (59 min)
Fri - Muscle Endurance (64 1/2min)
Sat - Leslie 5 mile (70 min) no weights

I am sore from that Timesaver #5, the legs workout. Today is my rest day thank goodness. I thought the Timsesaver week was good. I will definitely do it again when I need a short week. I'm going to simulate it a bit this week but I haven't worked out all the cardios yet.
This week I'm going to try doing some short cardios and then one upper body segment from Power Hour. At the end of the week I will do legs from PH. If I am recovered by the morning I want to try the Step Blast Challenge segment, then PH chest, then Pilates. My puppy is still wearing me out so I'll have to see how I feel in the am!

Hi everyone,

This morning I did LIS and Body Sculpting. I am still trying to catch some of the step routines in this one. My legs felt good doing Body Sculpting after LIS. I can really start to feel the thigh muscle
:) and it feels good. With time all the jiggle will be gone!

Hello all!

It was so nice to sleep in this morning! Since the kids are off from school today, I decided to take the day off instead of sending them to day care -- and I'm so glad I did!!

I did PUB and then Coremax II. Boy those pikes are a killer - I still can only do a few -- and I'm sure my form isn't perfect -- oh well, someday!! :)

Once again, it is Monday and it feels so good to start the week out right. Let's keep each other motivated to keep it going! :)

Michelle

Hi everybody! Hope everyone is having a great week! Here's my plan for the week. I'm trying to go heavy on the cardio to start getting some weight off:

Saturday: BootCamp (done)
Sunday: LowMax (done)
Monday: KPC
Tuesday: Muscle Endurance
Wednesday: KickMax or LowMax
Thursday: Muscle Endurance or PUB (I haven't tried the Pyramids yet -- do people like them?)
Friday: off

Did any of you preorder? I can't wait for the new low impact circuit workout! I like not having to do too much jumping!

Kimberly, yes I did the Body Blast Timesaver DVD all 5 workouts in order last week. They were nice and short, and I actually lost another pound. (The week before I did the Body Blasts as is, some shortened, and lost a pound.) So I am pleased in general with this series. Its definitely heavier on cardio than weights.
Pyramids are good weights workouts for sure. The upper body will really make you sore. Lower body floor work with the ball is also a killer. The standing legs are pretty easy so I like them!
I didn't preorder any of the new ones. I've decided that having the entire Cathe collection is just ENOUGH to own!!! I would love to have the new ones but can't justify it. It would take me 6 months to do all my workout DVD's/videos if I did one a day! After they are out and I see the clips maybe I can swap for one at VF if I really want it bad. x(
Today I did the Step Blast Challenge (warmup, challenge, cool-stretch) at 24 minutes, then Power Hour chest (7), then Denise Austen Pilates(22min). So total 53 min. I'm trying to keep it to just under an hour. By the way, I used the workout blender for Step Blast and it worked perfectly. I am going to make more use out of that feature now that I know how it works.
Tomorrow I'm re-visiting an oldie but goodie, Power Max step. I'll just do the warmup, combo 1 and the cooldown (her warms and cools are still aerobic for me) at 30 min., then PH back, then Pure STrenth abs from the BBA which includes supermans for more back work. Then a ball stretch. Should be a nice workout! I'm already thinking ahead to next week, maybe tackling the CTX series. This is going to be an easy week so I should be ready for it. I really think CTX is one of her hardest even though the workouts are shorter. They are sooo intense.
Beth

Beth, I will consider getting the Body Blast Timesaver in the near future.

This morning I did KPC Blocks and Kicks. I am still breaking inbetween to catch my breath but I am getting a little better at it. Those cardio drills gets me  but I know if I keep doing them it will be a sinch :)!

Hi gals!

I agree the pyramids are a great weight workout -- my arms are killing me today. However, I still got up bright and early this morning and did LoMax! :)

I'm still struggling with the cardio workout tapes -- I don't know why - I love doing weights - I just hate doing cardio. It was cold and rainy out this morning, so I didn't want to go jogging.

Wow, do some of you have a lot of DVDs!! I think I need to start shopping! :)

Michelle

I am sick! No workout for me yesterday or today. I'm home from work today, probably will be home tomorrow too. I'll be back exercising as soon as I can. I hate being sick, its like going back to square one when I start back up.

Kim, I knew you were going to order the 5-mile. I laughed when I read it.

It's not even 3pm here and I'm so ready for bed.

Later ladies.

Chris, hope you feel better soon. There are some bad colds going around.
Today I changed up a bit with Power Max, did the warmup, combo 1 and combo 2. Combo 2 is really fun. Then Power hour back, pure strength abs, and a ball stretch. It was about 55 min before the stretching. We were going to go hiking tomorrow but we are both too stiff and sore from bending over playing with/picking up/running after "Dirk" the dog. We call him "wild thang" and it was so funny-that song played during power max!!!
So, instead of a hike I will do Power Max combo 2, 3 and cooldown plus Power Hour shoulders and abs/planks. Then a longggggg stretch-maybe Cool it Off. Or I may just do Cool it Off only-see how I feel.
I have yet to try my new cardio coach CD. Maybe next week when my husband is out of town I will listen to it while I walk all by myself (puppy is too young for a long walk yet.) I'm really anxious to try it out...
Beth

Hi everyone,

This morning I did Supersets. When I got to round 2B my legs were fried x(. My shoulders feel good. It feels like I got good posture now :D Chris, I hope you feel better very soon. I know after being sick it is terribly hard getting back into the routine. I know it was for me. ajcc123, I didn't preorder the New Low Impact Circuit. I probably should have but I preordered Butts and Gutts DVD.

Hi everyone,

This morning I did Step Heat. I forgot how intense this workout was for me. I am still trying to catch my breath. I had to stop more than a few times and walk around a bit. I have a new rotation that I am itching to try but I not to start until Jan. 30th but I might have to end the rotation I am doing on Saturday. I call it the Lower Body Solution or Thighblaster Rotation as that was what it was called in 2002 & 2003 but now more people would call it Freestyle. It targets the lower body daily no more than 1 hour per day probably except when I do Leslie 5 mile which is 70 minutes long.

Chris and Beth get well soon. Beth I hope you are not coming down with the Flu:(

---Kimberly C

Sorry to hear you gals are sick -- I hope you are feeling better soon Chris and Beth!!!

I did Firm Sculpt yesterday. Is that what it is called? The one with Jen Carmen -- that is one of my all time favorite Firm tapes. Probably because I know it by heart so I know what is coming!! My tape started to skip at the end -- so I don't know how much longer I will be able to use it -- however, Cathe's supersets and push/pull
are now moving up as my favorites!! :)

Michelle

I'm much better today but took the day off from exercise. Maybe get back in it tomorrow. Ecxept now my stomach is all upset starting about 15 minutes ago. Jeeeezzz...
I'll probably modify what I had planned for the week. I did get 2 Karen Voigt's from Netflix so I think I will start my Karen week for a lighter change of pace. Then hit CTX when I am back to full speed. Its going to be mostly Pilates and yoga, with some light cardio and circuit light weights. Kind of a nice change from Cathe's intensity!
Beth

MJ

Good to have you back, MJ.
Well I felt fantastic today after 2 days of rest so tackled Power Max step combos 2,3 and cooldown; then Power Hour shoulders, bis and tris, and abs/planks. I did get Karen Voigt's DVD today from Netflix with two workouts on it. The first is using a resistance ring to work a lot of the glute/hip area, all floor work and some abs. I think I can sub a soft ball for the sqeezing in and a dynaband tied into a circle for the squeezing out, since I don't have the ring. This will fit in perfectly with my plan for tomorrow. I was going to do KPC combos followed by the legs and glutes floor work, but I will do Karen's floor work instead of L and G. The second workout I haven't previewed but its called Abs and Back, and it looks like a lot of Pilates, alternating ab work with back. I like it when they alternate back and forth through the workout so I think that will be good too. They are both 50 minutes long. By the way, Netflix does not describe the exercise DVD's well at all, many errors, so I have to go to Collage and plug in the title to see what I'm really getting.
Beth

Beth, glad you are feeling better and welcome back MJ. Well guess what I did this morning? I did Leslie Sansone 5 mile walk which is 70 minutes long. I enjoy this workout and there are many options to choose from. Option 1 is the 5 mile advanced walk, option 2 is a 3 mile; 2 fast miles and 1 mile with hand weights, option 3 is a 3 mile with 2 fast miles and 1 mile with the walk belt and option 4 is also a 3 mile walk with 2 fast miles and 1 mile with the stretch band. Her 14 year old daughter, Marie is also in the workouts. I think this is a great lower body workout and will add it into my new lower body rotation starting next week.
