I'm gonna sound like a total dork here, but I don't get the "friend" thing. I mean, I don't mind it, but I just don't get why we have this option.

I don't understand the friend thing either, but I feel like if Cathe's spending the $$$ on the bandwidth, I'm hoping to try everything!

Susan,

You are now my friend. I figured it out. Just place your cursor on the name of anyone and click. There are options to various things, one of them is asking or adding to be a contact. From there you can be invited to be a friend.
