I have been considering only getting Barry's Bootcamp Butts & Legs since that is my trouble area but wanted to get some opinions on it before spending the $24.95.

Can you tell me what the time break-down is on this dvd? My body tends to respond much better to high rep/low weight workouts for my lower body- like Slim Series, B&G, and Tony's 30 minute Bun Shaper are great for my lower body. If anyone can give your opinion on this it would be greatly appreciated.

TIA, Jen

Hi Jen...BBC B&L is definitely low weight high reps. You do about 30 min of the weight/and floor work. For example 90 sec on lunges for each leg with light weight. There is also 2 cardio workouts, non TM and then TM. I have not done any of the cardio but the leg workout is good. Hopefully someone can chime in for the cardio...:)...

You can read up on VF's reviews, read the second Barry review on the page at http://www.videofitness.com/reviews/newrevs2.php

From Leslie's review on VF:

"Butt & Legs with Nadia: approx. 36 min.

-Warm up
-Lunges
-Reverse lunges
-Squats
-Deadlifts
-Calf lifts
-Right glute
-Left glute
-Power squats & jacks
-Cool down"

From what I remember, the lunges, squats, deadlifts and calf raises are weighted. The reverse lunges are not weighted and the "right/left glute" sections are done on the floor - donkey kicks and fire hydrants.

Anyway, Nadia's cardio is tough. I think she's the only one who does 20 minutes of cardio that doesn't repeat itself (most cardios are ten minutes of various moves and then repeat). It's all basic, athletic moves, she uses the step some, but she really kicks butt! Her treadmill section is also tough and around 30 min. She does do some unique moves on the treadmill - including gallopping sideways one an incline - really gets the inner thighs! - lots of fun and again, very tough! I have a long way to go to even meet their "recommended intermediate" speeds and inclines. HTH!

I have the entire series and love it!

The leg work out is awesome! Oh the pain! LOL }(

That being said, I think that paying almost $25.00 for ONE of Barry's work outs is too much money because they are short work outs with no premixes. The box set is a *MUCH* better deal. JMHO.

Thanks you for the information! If I do decide to get the whole set do you guys think HSN or Barry's website is better to order this through? Thanks again, I won't be back to check until this evening so thanks in advance for all your help!!! :)

Hi Jen,

I agree that you should get the whole set. That seems like a lot for just one DVD. I bought the whole set on HSN for $54.95 plus s&h. I just finished a three week rotation and used all the DVDs and most sections on each DVD.

I did use the Leg and Butt (Nadia's) and shoulder and back (Joey's) the most as far as the non treadmill and treadmill sections go. The hardest section was Ryan's weight work. His workout focused on chest with lots of pushups using the step. Yowza!!

I liked putting the non treadmill and treadmill together for a longer cardio. Occasionally, I would do BBC weights and then do Cathe cardio. That way I still got my Cathe fix during the three weeks. :)

Also, I think it's great for when your time is short, but still want a decent workout. It reminded me of CTX. Can't wait for an updated version on that series! I think I'll be using BBC this summer when the kids are out of school. :)

I definitely saw some good results!

HTH ~ Dallas

There is a $15 off code for HSN in one of the recent Barry posts over on VF if you decide to go with HSN. That's where I got mine from, and with the $15 off, you can't beat the price. They shipped very quickly, too.

The BBC legs tape was my least favorite of the series and I only did it once. I was way too spoiled with Butts n Gutts to even get the slightest enjoyment out of it. IMO...get the whole series or don't get it at all.
