Barefoot

Maybe you've answered this in the past but.... is it good, bad, or neutral to do Cathe's weight training barefoot? Of course I put on shoes for cardio. Doing lunges is a bit iffy barefoot but I get SO hot doing the tapes, barefoot is refreshing. Cheryl
 
Don't do them barefoot!

If for no other reason than safety. If you drop a weight on your foot you have at least some protection if you are wearing sneakers. I have seen a post from Cathe regarding shoes vs. barefoot and I do believe she recommended against doing weight workouts barefoot.

Personally I find that I have better balance if I have a good cross training shoe on with support for my flat feet.

There you have it - my 2 cents!

I go barefoot but the weights I use are much lighter than Cathe uses. I prefer to wear shoes for lunges with weights but if it's an upper body workout, my feet are bare :) When I'm stronger, I'll wear shoes for all my Cathe videos but for as long as I'm a wimp, I'll skip the shoes and show my toes :D
