Barbells vs. Dumbells

Does anyone find using a barbell for Chest press easier on their shoulders rather then dumbells?

Not necessarily easier, I use both. But, they feel different, and work the chest muscles differently. It may feel easier on your shoulder, because both arms are working in sync. Most people have a dominant arm, that does most the work. When using dumbbells, this is evident. The weaker arm seems to fatigue with less reps. Using both pieces of equipment has advantages.
