What kind/weight barbell should I get? I'm looking for something I can grow with.
I have used 3, 5,, 8 & 10 # dumbbells in the last couple years working out with The Firm workouts. I have recently started using Cathe workouts which I really enjoy. I have LIS, LowMax, and the new series. I have been doing shortened versions of LIC (cardio only) so far with the new series.
I want to start doing the weights sections of the new workouts and know I won't start with the 20# Cathe uses. I did LIC upper weights once and I used my boyfriends 15# curl bar. That was challenging.

As far as what kind of barbell to buy, I don't think I should get a body bar because I would have to get several in order to progress upwards in weight and think that would be expensive.
I looked at a weighted barbell at the sporting goods store and it had (2) 10# weights, (2) 5# weights, and the barbell. I thought that would limit me too, because I would only be able to increase in total 10# increments.
