Hi All!
I am very new to Cathe workouts, although not new to working out with weights, but fairly new to step aerobics. I was wondering what is the length of the bar (barbell) that is used in Cathe workouts? The standard bar is 6 feet - which is way too long for me. I've also seen a 5 foot bar and a 44 inch bar. Does anyone know how long the bar is that Cathe uses in her dvds?
I ordered a step from the Cathe website because I have not been able to find one like Cathe uses in Honolulu. So yesterday I did the Basic Step without the step just to see if I could get the steps. and I did after a couple of tries. - I also had read how some people do not like to use Cathe's step dvds because of the complex choreography and not being able to get an adequate cardio workout because they have to rewind and rewind to try to figure out the steps. Well - I remedied that by using some hand weights while doing the steps with large movements over and over again - so not only did I get to preview and practice the steps, I also got a great 1 hour cardio session - and had fun!
Now when my step arrives this week - I will actually be able to perform all the steps on Basic Step without much fuss. I'm so happy and excited!
I've been having fun visiting the forum over the past couple of weeks and have purchased a bunch of Cathe dvds - and I just can't wait to do more. Cathe's got a great crowd here!
Thanks for any help, advice and recommendations any one has to offer!
