Well, I just call them The Adopted Daughter and The Orphan. The prosthesis is (was) called the Foster Child.
I *don't* recommend this roundabout method for getting a tummy tuck - haha! However, if this muscle sparing, non-implant option was not available, I would not have gotten reconstruction at all.
Shelley - I am thinking only the best for your sister and wish her all the most wonderful luck in the world! We are following in the footsteps of a lot of strong, feisty, warrior women and we will prevail!
