Just wanted to tell you all what a nice group of women you are! I can't say enough about how encouraging and positive everyone is. We have disagreements on some things, which is normal and I guess not a bad thing. But it never really gets out of hand and the atmosphere of mutual respect remains intact.

There have been a couple times where I've received posts and personal emails that have just lit up my day and I don't even get those from my family! (not including DH). I really get a good feeling about the human race when people who I've never met can be such a positive factor in my life.

What a wonderful thing Al Gore did in inventing the Internet. ha ha.

hey donna,

I totally agree with you. Just talking to people here gives us good advice, encouragement, and a shoulder to lean on. I haven't been a member long, but I've realized that that we can all turn to each other and discuss our sad moments and our good moments. I have taken some advice and it has helped me with situations. And we won't always agree, but no one thinks alot.so I am with you. It is great to be a member here.

I wonder how Al Gore fits it all in with the inventing of the internet and inspiring "Love Story." What a busy guy! (Actually, I kinda like him.;))

Donna, you're great and I feel lucky to "see" you on the forums. And you're right, all told, we're a pretty nice group of women (and some men).

Yes I have to agree. It is always a good place to come when you have an exercise or fitness issue but also when you need the advice of others and know there is a group of great people here that can provide input.

Donna,

I know what you mean. I'm a relative newbie here but have gleaned an incredible amount of useful information in the past few months. As a matter of fact, I made a loaf of your 100% whole wheat bread in my machine yesterday.

I get a kick out of everyone's distinct personalities. Each one of you are special and unique.

This site is the first place I check as I'm drinking my morning coffee. Even though National Review Online is the next site I check, I'm grateful for Al Gore's brilliance too!

Elaine

I like Al too. He's smart, he's handsome, and believe it or not - he's got charisma. I've seen him do speeches after his presidential run, and he was a totally different speaker. Whoever gave him the advice to be the way he was during the Clinton years and his presidential bid should get kicked in the head!

And I'm a total Clinton fan. Wish we could get him back.:D

Now look out...the flames will be flying! Trevor...are you lurking?

Gore Lovers!!!!:p

i agree that this is an amzaing group! i love it and MOST of the time, it is an uplifitng place to be:D

I agree 100% with Elaine!! I've only been on for about a month. You guys are terrific- THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Oh yeah and I too miss Clinton (a lot!) and wish we had had a shot with Gore.

It's a pretty unique forum, that's for sure. I'm extremely grateful for everything I've learned 'round here and checking in definitely brightens my day.

I was more of a lurker when Trevor was around - whatever happened to him?

Joni

I agree too--the women on this board have taken me to a whole new fitness level.

I also agree about Gore & Clinton. :) Did anyone see Gore's appearance on SNL after the 2000 election? He was absolutely hilarious.

Ms. Vice President :),

I feel the same way. I just love the women on these forums. And where else can you go to get so much feedback from so many intelligent women? And let's face it, women who have discovered Cathe ARE more intelligent, and generally more sensible and more mature if I do say so myself. :)

(I know we shouldn't get too political on these forums, but I wholly agree with you about Bill Clinton. I wish he could have been president forever, frankly. Nuff said.)

Yes Donna! I totally agree! This is the best place to come!

Well, I just hope Hillary runs for the main office one day. IMHO, she's a brilliant woman.

Okay...that's my political statement. I'm done!

:)

P.S. Joni, Trevor's behavior got out of hand a few months ago when he got angry and sent unwanted, not very nice pm's to some of the girls(long story). He still shows up out of the blue every once in awhile.

I think all you have to do is look at my post count (and I actually started posting on March 4, 2005, not in January) to realize how much I love it here.

It's so amazing to know that there's a place I can come and talk about things and you will all understand and not roll your eyes at me and laugh at my silly jokes and support me when I'm down and congratulate me on my successes and commiserate with me on my failures.

I've met some amazing people here who I can now consider friends (although I won't get to meet them in person until July).

Thanks, ladies:)

Me, too!

Each and every one of you is a great support to me. I haven't been here very long, but it's great to know you all exist and I'm not alone when I've got a barbell on my shoulders and I'm squatting and grunting...
