Just getting us started this morning. Can anyone else not believe that June is almost over??? Yikes!

I'm starting my push-ups today. I'm going to do 1 set of 10 on my toes and 2 sets on my knees. Hopefully, I'll get up to 2 sets of 10 on my toes by next week. We'll see. ;)
 
Thanks Catherine! What makes me ill is that last year at this time, I could do ALL of the drop set push-ups from GSCT on my toes! :(

Have fun with those weighted chinups!!!
 
Good morning Liann and Catherine!

Tonight is Kickbox & Legs from 4DS series. I haven't done that one in a while. I'm looking forward to some good DOMS!!

Maybe I'll throw in some push-ups and see how many I can do...

Thanks for the encouragement about the classes! I've been so nervous about thinking about how I'd keep up with everyone! I've been doing a variation of Cathe's Strong Like a Bull rotation, so today is PS Chest/Sh/Tris + abs. My arms are sore just thinking about it! :)

Liann -- Yes, it's so frustrating how quickly we can lose that upper-body strength! I need to get going on those push-ups, too! Now your post from yesterday about not being able to walk on Sunday morning scared me! Yikes!

Melissa -- I'm so glad that you decided not to cancel! I can't wait to meet you in person!

Catherine -- Wow -- *weighted* chin-ups?! You're an animal! (And I mean that in a very, very good way!;-) )
 
Leanne - Don't get too scared about the duck waddling. I am very flexible and was kicking pretty high in kicboxing like I used to in cheerleading. My body was far from being in cheerleading form though, so I think I strained a ton of muscles in my butt, inner thigh area. It was my own fault for being overly enthusiastic and not knowing what kickboxing can do to you the next day. ;) I will pace myself much more this year than I did last year!
 
Liann, I used to could do all the drop sets too. I don't think I could do them now either. Quite frankly, I don't want to :+ :p

Oh and I can vouch for how high Liann can kick :eek: :eek:

Melissa, have a great workout!! I will have to do the 4ds leg routine again, it's been a while

Leanne, you'll do fine!! I remember during the one class I would take a break and just rest sometimes. Don't sweat it!! I do remember doing squats one time and easing up on my squat. Then I saw Cathe looking at me (at least I thought she was :p ) and suddenly I dropped back down a bit. It's amazing how a glance from Cathe can motivate you, even if she's really not looking at you ;)

I came home at lunch to check on my doggies. Muffie has been sick. So I did my chinuups. I did 5 sets of 5 with 5 pounds of added wt. Man, that's a lot of 5s :+

Good afternoon, ladies.(':)') Today's workout was Pyramid Upper Body (shoulders, bis,tris only), a 3 mile run on the TM and then I taught my pilates/yoga class. I am doing a combo rotation of the Tank Top Rotation/Slim series/ and training for a 5K. I am running the Jungle Run at the local zoo on July 20th.

Liann-How did your push-ups go? I am in awe that you can do 10 on your toes. I can only do 4 on my toes right now. I don't think I am going down far enough either.

Melissa-I am glad you are still going on the road trip.':)')

Catherine-Great job with the chin-ups!! Is Muffie feeling any better?

Leanne-I have never tried the Strong Like a Bull rotation. Which month/year was that one?

Oh my goodness Catherine, you totally reminded me about Cathe's "looks" at the last RT!!! We were behind her for the sculpting session and I got corrected several times via the lovely mirror in front of Cathe! :eek: I even had the distinction of getting a verbal form correction at one point - had to do with my thumbs.

Beth - Talk about a major workout! I think you have motivated me to actually do something tonight! I've been on workout hiatus since all the yard work, landscaping, pool project stuff started a few weeks ago. I feel like a blob now and a lazy butt after hearing what you are doing today! ;)

Catherine - Way to go on the chin-ups. Woo-hoo! How's the Muffster?

Melissa - I promise I have really good aim with those kicks! ;) You had to when doing them right next to another cheerleader. No one ever got injured by me. ;)
 
Oh, yes, Liann and her high kicks sound awesome! I'm pathetically inflexible in my hamstrings, so there won't be any high kicks from me! :)

Melissa -- So will you be doing low kicks with me?!

Catherine -- WTG on those chinups! That is just fantastic! I keep waiting for the pull-up tower to come out so I can start working on chin ups. How funny that that glance (whether real or not!) from Cathe got you going again! I could see how motivating she can be in person if she's already so amazing on the DVD's!

Liann -- I'll have to pace myself, too! Of course, maybe if we're all waddling like ducks, it won't be too bad!:+

Liann, that is so what I was referring to. Like I said I don't even know for sure if that "look" was meant for me (maybe it was you LOL), but it sure got me to straighten up and push myself!!

Beth, Muffie seems to be ok. She has another blasted UTI. Which goes along with having bladder cancer :( Poor thing- she just seems restless. Thanks for asking!!

Melissa - I thought she told us to put our thumbs up, but she must have been telling us to tuck them in our something. I looked like a total goober holder the band out in a chest exercise move with my thumbs up in Cathe's words "like a hitchhiker!" Lol... In my defense, I had a REALLY hard time hearing some of the directions. In the step class, I was all the way to the right, and I couldn't hear anything. Luckily, I was able to follow along with what everyone else was doing in that class and Cathe could not see me. ;)
 
LOL Liann! It was hard to hear once everyone got going. At one point during the step class, I must have looked like I was doing my own thing and I have no idea how long I was off-step! So you weren't the only GOOBER!

It's nice to know that Cathe doesn't let us slack, even when we are all just there to have fun! Watch your squats this time Catherine...

Oh, that's so funny about Cathe's corrections! Now I'm getting worried! ;-) Well, at least we'll all look like goobers together!;-)

Catherine -- So sorry to hear about Muffie! That's so awful! {{{HUGS}}}!

Just got done doing PS Chest/Sh/Tris, and I thought of everyone during those push-ups off the step. }( Dang, those are hard, but I managed to do them all!
 
Leanne - Just stick close to me. She'll be so busy wondering "what IS that girl doing" that she will not even see your mistakes. ;)
