Hi Ladies,

How is everyone doing today? I had a great workout last night. I did a 6.5 mile run and SuperSet Lower Body Blast.. My legs were really burning on that 3rd set of one legged squats when she pulses for 7...

I can't believe how many people are running... That is awesome!!!

Tonight will be another run, 200 walking Lunges and PP upper body (2 sets).

Have a great day!!!

Beverly

Hi everyone,

Did ME this morning. It's been awhile since I've done endurance type lifting and a I could definitely feel it.

Tomorrow is MIC and 100 walking lunges.

Good morning,

I did IMAX2 and a Firm abs segment this morning. Tonight will be some walking lunges and tomorrow C&W.

Beverly, I can't wait until next week when my kids go back to school. That means I can start running at lunchtime again.

Have a great day everybody.

Morning ;o)

Last night, I did MIS Abs, walked 10 laps & Legs & Glutes. I really ran through L&G, I didn’t use any weights, except for the Dead lifts & standing leg work. Needing to lean my legs out a bit more.

My eating was pretty good yesterday. Okay, here I go again, I started this on yesterday, I’m going to do a 21 day no sugar challenge, gotta have my Splenda tho ;o) But definitely, giving up chocolates, cookies, etc. Would anyone like to join me?

Tonight, Plyometrics & PS floor work. Have a great day.

Teddygirl~

Teddygirl,

Been doing something like that with South Beach Diet. No suger, but lots of Splenda! So far I know I've lost 3 pounds, probably more (won't weight myself again till Saturday!)

Isn't Splenda the best?!:)

Hi Candi,

Congrats, 3 lbs is a very good accomplishment ;o) I have been hearing a lot about the South Beach Diet.

Yep! I love me Splenda, it’s the best. I get it from Sam’s Club 700 packets for only $12.95. Wayyyy cheaper than Giant Eagle’s. I was paying $8.95 for 200.

Anyway, day 2 of 21. I’m expecting good results from giving up the sugar. It only keeps me bloated and craving for more. I really wish I could stop it all together. But, for now one day at a time.

Hi Everyone,
I did the August rotation Cathe had given us, so I did L&G last pm, but I'm craving a run, soooo tonight I'll do at least 2.5 miles, may go for the 3.5 if my body tells me its OK, if not I'll stick with 2.5 today and Saturday 3.5 so as I can move up the scale to my goal.

Wow! Teddygirl, I'm proud of you for cutting out cookies/chocolate, etc. I have decreased my desserts to 3 times a week, I'm such a huge choc-a-holic, that I told my husband if I ever had a secret, just dangling something chocolate in front of me would be all it'd take to make me talk, no need for further torturing, that'd be enough!

Count me in. I'm a Splenda girl too. Giving up the baked goodies won't be easy, but I'd be happy if I lost 3 pounds like Candi (way to go, by the way :) )

Is the South Beach hard to do? BFL isn't doing it for me any more. Can you do South Beach in conjunction with WW?

I am soooo clueless with the diet end of things. No wonder my caboose is the size of a small U-haul.;-)

Yep, it's me AGAIN popping in. I just had to say I LOVE Spenda and it tastes sooo good. I love home brewed iced tea made with it. It tastes just like the southerners' sweetened tea.

Teddygirl,

Thanks for the tip on saving on Splenda. It is more pricey than the others.....but sure worth it to me. I'll check at our Sam's store here.

Shopgirl -

If you look at South Beach Diet in simple terms...it's just getting the sugar out of your system. Problem is, the first 3 or 4 days are not fun cause of cravings and low energy. After that, at least for me anyway, it gets a lot easier. The first two weeks....nothing white at all, not even oatmeal. No fruit either (UGH!)

I eat a 2 egg omlette for breakfast with some red bell peppers, then no sugar protein shake about 10:00, then a HUGE salad with Chicken for lunch. About 2:00 is my snack of non fat cottage chese with sugar free jello (at this point, the concoction is welcome), about 30 pistachio nuts and another no sugar protein shake when I get home from work about 6:00. For dinner is the huge veggie platter covered with an ounce, or ounce and a half of low fat cheddar cheese and some sort of protein (fish, pork, turkey...etc). My treat after dinner is part skim riccotta cheese mixed with a couple packets of Splenda and some sort of no calorie flavoring, like cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice or maple flavoring mixed in. Sounds kind of weird until you remember the Italian Cannoli pastry fillings are made with ricotta and sugar. Last but not least...a sugar free fudgecicle or pop cicle.

The book gives meal plans and recipies but the above is working fine for me with a lot less work. As you can see, I'm eating all day long pretty much. I'll only restrict myself like this for 2-3 weeks but it seems to be the only diet that works for me anymore. Phase 2 you start adding in whole grains and fruits.

Oops, one more thing. Because of the low carb intake, it takes a toll on energy levels. I only find that to be true day 1 through 3. After that...I am just fine. I keep telling myself that anyway.

Shopgirl - I don't believe that about your caboose, either
:+ . It's a good thing DH thinks a full butt looks attractive on a woman...he hit the jackpot with me:7 .

Hi Everyone,

This morning was CTX Step and Intervals and the stability portion of PLB. My legs were feeling the burn today on the stability ball. Went for 6 mile run yesterday at lunch so my legs were tight from that already. Keep up the good work everyone.

Teddygirl-I'd love to try the no sugar thing. I'm a true chocaholic-so does anyone have suggestions for sugar free mnm's???, or really just any chocolate in general that would satisfy. They probably have sugar free fudgesicles, I plan on looking for them this weekend.

Diana

Walmart has sugar free fudgesicles...I can attest to that. And, you know, they're really not that bad.

Good Evening;
Had a good workout today.
Did all of PLB (Yesterday was an unexpected off day :/ ) along with the premix add on of Step Blast.

I would love to start running again, it is too darned HOT here to run and I just don't feel comfortable or safe running while it's dark. My wonderful expensive treadmill has been stuck in my garage behind my hubby's heavy full sized tool boxes. I really need to get on him so he can clear that area so I can have access to my treadmill. I wanted so bad to run and use it today too.

Been doing really well on my clean eating also .
Well Have a wonderful day everyone!
:)
