HI Rhonda,
I just read on the ask cathe forum about what you did for your abs.Can I ask how tall you are? And I was wondering what kind of program you did in order to lose the weight? And how long did it take?
I hope you don't mind....spill the beans:)

Up until this week making 7 weeks I was doing my ABS everday and sometimes twice a day for at least 20 minutes....
I am just trying a little something different, I am working them 3 times a week for 20 or so minutes a whack.... I am trying this for 2 more weeks or so.... so far I really don't see a difference in how I was doing them before and how I am doing them now... maybe time will tell, not that my abs aren't okay now, just not where I want them yet...
And I am not real sure, but I think the thread you were reading was in the Cathe forum under legs everyday... and I do exercise my legs every day, but I don't use weights on them every day now... trying to get more muscle tone in the glutes and abs, although I still work my legs hard 3 days a week, the other days I do alot of cardio...
As soon as I get a chance I will take pics, although I don't look like diane sue yet lol, I don't have a bow flex either :7
OH YEAH.. I am 5'2" inches tall and 102 lbs, 45 yrs young:7 ... very petite frame... anymore questions I can answer I will do my best... Rhonda:7
 
The post was called "cathe...what can I do about my abs".I think somewhere in her post she also said that she needed to lose 20 lbs.You then posted that at one point you weighed 138 and now 111.Obviously you are even smaller then that now.(most of the women around here amaze me!) Its just that you set your goals and you go for them.Lately I have had one day of clean eating and then a day of bad.I just can't seem to stay on the straight and narrow.I would love to get to 115-120 and I am wondering if I should do the BFL plan.Or just count cals.I know that once I get a couple of days in I will be motivated enough to stick with it.Prehaps I want what I want, but don't want it bad enough to stick with it.I was never one to have much willpower.
I am 5'4" and am a medium build
Did you follow and specfisc eating program while you were slimming down?

Hi again Lori...

Yeah for the most part I eat pretty clean thru the week, and yes then I was working my ABS 6 to 7 days a week, and probably will go back to that later..... and also I DRINK ALOT of water, the only time I drink any soda is on the weekends and it is diet coke I drink whisky and coke with hubby, the next morning I don't have to think that I gained any weight with sugary alcoholic drinks.... once in a while I drink arbor mist for a change...
I do go out and eat on some weekends, sometimes it every weekend some times it is every other weekend... but I do exercise alot, but on the other hand lol from one of the threads, there are some other women on here that really pour it on too lol....... I do my best to get 3 liters of water down, and sometimes 4 liters... I know the more water I drink the better it is for me... I try to eat as much protein as I can and here lately its been citrus fruit I have been eating,(grapefruits), I think I am addicted to them now lol...
I need to get back on salads and lots of green veggies....
I take a multivitamin everyday, I take flax oil now, and I chew 2 calcium chews a day cause I know I don't get enough of that....

I do my best to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day.....
I am hoping some of the information is of help to ya....
And yep I did lose another lb this week which put me at 102, although I was not trying to, hubby is trying to lose upper body weight so when he gets home we either walk and jog or do a taebo cardio....
The thing is that I know what I want to get to and I am gonna get my body there hopefully by summer.... feel free to ask away I will answer what I can....I did forget to say that Jan the 1st when I started back on my regular eating habits, and the freestyle it only took me 4 weeks to drop those holiday lbs and get back into my 4's and then 2's... now those 2's are loose, but I am not going to buy 0's yet..... hope this helps some.... What would you say your calorie range is? Are you following a carb/protein ratio thing? I don't know if I would have time for that.I did pretty well the beginning of last week b/c I was working day shifts.Then when I switch to night shifts it get all haywire.I am the kind of person who needs to stick to a certain plan.My next night shift is not until Wed so I am hoping to get some sort of eating pattern establish by then.The place I work as ice cream and cookies lying around so its not the best.
Prehaps I should try BFL again and she how that goes.Thats 5-6 small meals.Maybe I will take 2 protein shakes to work with me tomorrow and a couple of small meals.I know that small meals work for me also.It really helps to slim my mid-section down.At times I feel like my motoblism as come to a stand still but I think I just don't give myself enough time to see the weight come off.I am very impatient.To bad,you don't have any pitcures, I would really like to see how slim you are.
Its all common sense though isn't it? I think everyone knows what they SHOULD do but actually doing is the hard part.
You also have your DH on your side.My DH is very slim and eats whatever he wants.He also hates working out.He bought a bowflex last year and it is folded up in out laundry room.What a waste of money.I tried using it but I didn't really enjoy it, maybe I should give it another try.....I got an idea.....Ill trade you a bowflex for your body? You can always do it again...:)

Thanks so much for the compliment Lori:) .... and I did get a chuckle out of what you said,... you just get yourself on some kind of consistancy with what you eat... my work allows me to exercise at night if I want to... I work with a mildly mentally retarded lady that is 39 and very over weight, she goes to bed early so after she goes to bed I can exercise if I want... and many times I do, because that keeps my metabolizm going thru the night.... thats why I don't mind the exercise my hubby wants to do, cause my metabolizm is constant... I do my hr or so in the mornings and then 30 minutes at least a night alot of the times so he has someone to do it with...
I am happy he wants to exercise to lose some weight.....
Any way I am always glad to help when I can.... I will have some pictures hopefully soon for ya, maybe before Wed .... and maybe I can get something written down for you in my calorie intake.... Rhonda:7
 
Its me again. I just finished a workout and I am wiped.
I just started a new job so I think it is going to take me a while to get everything in order.Sometimes I work day shifts, that are from 8-6:30 and then the nights are from 6:30-8 a.m.And would you beleive taha I find it easier to workout when I am working night shifts.I just get an hour or so in.But when I work days it is harder.By the time I get home,see my family,help with homework, I am usually ready for bed myself.I am soon going to take my dinner to work with me.I can eat around 5:30 or so and by the time I get everything done, my food will be digested.
You will be happy to know that I have my food ready for tomorrow.I have 2 fruit,enough for 6 shakes (I am working 3 days so 2 per day)cottage cheese/yogurt,whole wheat bagel and some sandwich meat.I plan to get up in the morning to fit a quick run in.
