Arm movement limitations, need suggestions please

So I had a surgical procedure... my left arm cannot go above my head for at least 4 weeks. I can't lift more than 5 lbs and I can't swing it around or pump it as in running. I don't have to "strap it to my side" but it is out of commission. So much for STS, I'll have to start over after that long a layoff. I'm unhappy, but I'll deal with it. this was not a sports injury so after 4-6 weeks I can start up everything again without rehab or anything.

I have to limit my cardio if it involves vigorous arm motion. again, I'll deal with it. I can do most leg exercises, use the elliptical, a stationary bike, walk at incline on the treadmill.

"Core" has me really stumped. I have Coremax and will flip thru looking at what I can do but ideas are needed here. no planks. I guess all I can do is moves with arms at my side or folded across my chest. Am I not thinking of obvious things? I'm bummed but this has to be, and I could use some ideas. thanks.

so you want ab moves right? i was kindof confused about the question. If this is correct you can lean slightly back and balance on your butt with your arms at your side. lift your legs and bring your knees to your chest and then out straight. these are really hard. you can also lie flat on your back with your arms at your side. elevate your legs about a couple inches off the floor and do flutter kicks and scissor kicks. oblique work you can lie on your back with knees bent and arms at your side. crunch up and reach your right hand towards your right heel, back to center, then reach your left hand to your left heel. does that help.
