Arm Endurance Step

I think it would be cool if Cathe made a workout that combines step cardio w/ light hand weigths that you hold in your hands for the WHOLE workout. It could be like a 45-50 minute step workout that uses maybe 3lb weights in each hand. It would be great for shaping arms whenever you have to use your arms with the step work (which you do a lot during step) and you would get a great upper body workout w/ really light weights. It would be GREAT arm endurance AND cardio workout. There would also be an 8 minute ab workout and stetch to finish it off.

I don't think it's 'cheesy,' but perhaps not that safe, especially if you're thinking of the kind of step moves (arm movements) Cathe usually does.

Now, doing some compound moves like a basic 'up-up, down-down' while doing an overhead press isn't bad, but less controlled upper body movements with hand weights doesn't float my boat. And I think it would be very tiring for the shoulders (which would bear the brunt of the work, IMO), and tired muscles can lead to higher risk of injury. Also, it's pretty easy to get caught up in the fun of the workout and not pay attention to what your arms are doing, and end up being a bit to 'wild' for safety.
