Are you a squirmer, a fidgeter, or a doodler?

Fidgeter and destroyer of paper clips. I absolutely cannot be near a paper clip in a long meeting or I will totally mangle it. :p

I fidget and doodle. I hated meetings where the speaker just obviously likes to hear himself/herself speak. YUCK!

I am soooo glad my days of long meetings are over. I did all 3. SAHM who homeschools suits me so well..I'm one of those who cannot sit still. Sort of like a toddler:+ Unless I'm reading, I love to read good books and to read to my kids.

Thanks why I've recently incorporated pilates and yoga into my workout rotations...trying to slow me-self down.

I am so glad to know I'm not strange because I thought this was a problem for just me!!!!! I doodle faces all over the meeting agenda, cartoon people, fashion models, little kids with freckles... My co-workers sometimes have to take a look after the meeting and we laugh about it. And I'm a foot shaker too, which I think is an anxiety-release kind of thing. I have a hard time sitting in a chair for too long. I have a co-worker who twirls his pen constantly so guess it's NOT just me.

I'm a squirmer. I need to move around or I'm another one that will doze. Hate boring meetings, movies, etc.

Thank you. I needed another reminder for why I got out of the corporate rat race and decided to go to nursing school. There is absolutely no meetings as a floor nurse, I am doing all day long and I love it. I was a global IT manager before...try meetings with Europe in the AM and then meetings with Asia in the evening from home, after dinner.
Hell.

A complete doodler.....as a teenager when I talked on the phone I doodled on the wallpaper...OH MY...my parents were a bit upset....:)...still do it now but mostly when I am on the phone ( and not on the wallpaper!)....Carole

Squirmer. Hate sitting for long stretches at a time, so I constantly switch positions. If the chair rocks at all or swivels from side to side, I do that. A lot of times I wind up standing during meetings because I just can't sit anymore. Even had to do this with a client once because my back was actually starting to hurt the meeting was so long (2 hours plus). I want to start having 'walking' meetings at my company--I know some companies do it. Makes the meetings shorter and also you're burning calories. Also, I remember reading a few years back about a study that found that squirmers tend to be leaner than nonsquirmers.

I doodle. But only when I am bored, and/or forced to be somewhere I don't want to be (meetings! bad presentations at conferences!).

My doodles usually end up being some kind of picture (various flowers, suns, etc.) and when I was a grad student, and subjected to a particularly aweful, boriing, tedious, teacher, who continously referenced the same critic (who was probably 100 years old!), I would draw caricatures of her, one with her being stabbed, hung and shot by various teachers, with the critic hobbling through the door, beard down to the floor and supported by a cane, coming to help her, and arriving too late (being subjected to another person's incompetence really brings out my nasty side!).
