Are we ready for a new volume of the Cathe Rotations?

Cathlete
Hi folks --

It's been a while since I compiled a new volume of rotations -- is anybody ready for me to start accumulating a new set, or are we pretty set with Volumes I through III? I had thought we'd wait til later this year when Cathe releases her newest series, but it seems like lately I've been seeing a lot of renewed discussion of rotations on the Forums. And maybe we all could use a little shaking up for bathing suit weather, eh? :)

If you have a new rotation idea, please e-mail it to me at: [email protected].

Thanks everyone!

Hi Kathy :)

I've been thinking the same thing about the rotations. I've put together a couple of "keepers" over the past 4 months, ones that I was able to document visible success from. So if you decide to go through with it, please let me know and I'd be happy to submit a rotation or two.
My latest is titled: "fat blasting circuits and intervals"
:)

Hi Donna,
Don't mean to jump in here but I was interested in your circuit/interval rotation. I have been doing SH and PS rotations for quite awhile now and was thinking of doing a circuit rotation just for something different. If you would like to share that rotation with me it would be much appreciated. I have just about every tape that is put out so I probally have the ones you use. If you would like to give out the rotation before the new Vol. comes out it would be appreciated and if not I will understand. You can email me if you don't want to post it.
Thank you,
Debbie

Hi Kathy, I would LOVE to see a new volume of rotations. That's one of those things you never get tired of, & always want to see a new one.
Party on!

Here's Fat Blasting (and it will be in Volume IV)

Donna, I got the Fat Blasting rotation and it looks killer.

I will start working on a Volume IV little by little, and Donna's Fat Blaster will be in it.

In the meantime, here it is reprinted for everyone!

Donna’s Fat Blasting Circuits & Intervals Rotation

WEEK 1:
M- BodyMax
T- IMAX
W- CTX 10-10-10 (cardio) + PowerHour
T- CardioKicks (or other 60 min kickbox)
F- CircuitMax
S- CTX Step & Intervals (cardio) + CTX Leaner Legs
S- OFF

WEEK 2:
M- CTX 10-10-10 (cardio) + CTX PowerCircuit (cardio)
T- CircuitMax
W- CTX Step & Intervals (cardio) + PowerHour
T- CardioKicks (or other 60 min kickbox)
F- BodyMax
S- IMAX
S- OFF

WEEK 3:
M- BodyMax
T- CardioKicks (or other 60min kickbox)
W- CTX 10-10-10 (cardio) + PowerHour
T- IMAX
F- CircuitMax
S- CTX Step & Intervals (cardio) + CTX Leaner Legs
S- OFF

Donna's notes:
* Can be used for 3-weeks as a "shake up" from your regular routine, or repeat the cycle 2x for a 6-week rotation.

** Keep weights very light when CircuitMax either precedes or follows a weighted workout. You do not want to risk an overuse injury. You just want to keep your heart rate elevated; 3-5# can achieve this for most people.

RE: Here's Fat Blasting (and it will be in Volume IV)

Hi Kathy,
Thanks SO much for posting this! Now I don't have to bug Donna to send it to me.
Donna, thanks so much for letting us in on this...I can't wait to try it!

OT -- To Ruth Re: Captains Kirk & Picard

Hey Ruth -- I just noticed in your bio that you're a Star Trek fan! Me too in a HUGE way -- and my sons thinks that this is just the weirdest thing in the world about me, their very educated PBS-watching Mom. They can't fathom how I can watch Biography, Masterpiece Theatre and anything Star Trek-related. I think it vaguely embarrasses them and their secret fear is that I'll attend a Trekkie convention. :)

Do you get cable TV, and do you get the TNN channel? It used to be The Nashville Network, since 1/1/02 it's The National Network. They show "Star Trek: The Next Generation" every weeknight at 8 and 11 (two different episodes), and on Friday nights from 8 til midnight straight, and every other Sunday a whole afternoon from 2 til 6. This is like heaven to me, since TNG's my favorite series (second is "Star Trek Voyager", third is the original series with Kirk and Spock and McCoy). I tape episodes of all the series, especially TNG, to watch while I'm on my elliptical. I catch the original Star Trek series sometimes on the SciFi channel, and one of our local independent stations still shows "Star Trek Voyager" and occasionally "Deep Space Nine" (my least favorite) late at night. I've watched three or four episodes of the new one, "Enterprise", and I'm warming up to it. I like Scott Bakula as Captain Archer -- I liked him in the old series "Quantum Leap". But my heart's still with Jean-Luc Picard and Commander Riker on the Enterprise D, and with Seven of Nine, The Doctor and Captain Janeway on Voyager. :)

Okay, now I know I've probably set myself up for ENDLESS ribbing here from our Forum friends. ;-) I admit it's not too cool to publicly confess to being a Trek fan -- but I just love these shows because their vision for the future and for humanity is so positive, and the characters and the stories are always so likable. It's happy escapism. I could, and do, watch them over and over.

Live long and prosper, girlfriend!

RE: OT -- To Ruth Re: Captains Kirk & Picard

LOL Trekkies in this household as well!! However, I'm quite unhappy with the new Enterprise series. But, hubby and kids are as faithful as ever and still watch it. Just between you and me, my husband doesn't care what's going on in any Star Trek show....he'd still watch even if the bridge crew were sitting around picking their noses!! He's a die-hard fan!!!

RE: OT -- To Ruth Re: Captains Kirk & Picard

Hollie, that's a riot about your husband. Mine's like that about ESPN. He'd watch people wash dishes speaking in Chinese if it's on ESPN. I'm not as die-hard as your hubby -- there are episodes that are pretty dull, and once in a while I'll tune in, all excited about having an hour to myself to boldly go where no one has gone before, only to find that I turn the channel right away because one of the clunkers is on.

It took me a while to warm up to "Enterprise" but I am liking it better. I think what I don't like about it is related to the fact that it's set EARLIER than the other series, so all the equipment and the stage sets are so low-tech. These guys are forever shuttle-crafting around and I just want to say "BEAM UP, GUYS! THE TRANSPORTER WILL WORK, TRUST ME!" But the characters are starting to develop and I like the actors.

Hmmmm.... this is sounding pretty die-hard fan-like, isn't it? :)

RE: OT -- To Ruth Re: Captains Kirk & Picard

LOL I have issues with the characters. I HATE the slutty Vulcan with an attitude. I'm not at all fond of the Billy-Bob hick character. And the linguist is spineless!!! ROFL!!! Sorry -- I told you, I have issues. :-rollen

RE: OT -- To Ruth Re: Captains Kirk & Picard

Hi Kathy!
Oh yes, die-hard fans here...my husband & son too! My very favourite all-time character is Spock, but my fave show is NG. Voyager 2nd, DS9 3rd, Classic 4th. I haven't even rated the new one, I simply don't care for it. To me it's like going back to Classic but without the characters I love. Yes, I even loved Captain Kirk! However, Jean Luc is as sexy as the day is long.
My hubby & I were a little disappointed with the Voyager finale. It was still fun, & had some good moments, but we felt the ending was a bit anti-climatic. I also love all the movies, even the stupid one.
Live long & prosper...
Ruth
