Thanks for thinking of me! I'm sorry it took me so long to respond; I don't have access to a computer at home, so only now am I logging in after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Having been on The Road To Quitsville since 11/13, I can honestly say I'm now at the outskirts of Quitsville. Since last Wednesday I've gone down from 2 full butts }( per day to one and a half butts per, and have continued to shave out what I call "ritual puffs" very comfortably. I'm going to keep my appointment this Friday to get a 'scrip for a Nicotrol Inhaler just as a security blanket, but my brother said something very flattering to my mother about me after I told him about my plans and action steps: "She's got the will of an iron maiden!"

Auqajock, way to go! My DH really needs to try to quit, but just teh thought makes him have a nic fit. So, I'm very impressed by how well you are doing. I quit about 4 years ago, but I was pregnant at the time, so it was easier, because of the extra motivation of knowing there was a living humanbeing in side of me. I can't emagine how hard it would be to just up and quit without that.

Good for you! There is nothing wrong with security blankets. Just knowing they are there is usually all that is needed. Keep up the good work, Ms Maiden!
