Anyone from the Florida Panhandle? I live about 2 hours west of Tallahasse. I'm about 25 miles from the Gulf of Mexico (Emerald Coast). Obviously I'm watching the weather as there is activity in the Atlantic/Gulf. Just wondering if there were in Cathe fans in my area.

Hi Kim,

I live in Southwest Georgia (on the GA/FL line) but I work in Tallahassee. The Emerald Coast is such a beautiful area. I go down to the coast frequently but it's usually around the St. George Island area. We always keep an eye on the tropics this time of year.

Unfortunately, it looks like there is much to keep an eye on right now. I'm glad I'm not the only one down here.....I'll have to start my own little Cathe fan club. Did you get to go on the RT?

I've lived in this area since 1989 and we've been very lucky. Everyone talks about Kate that hit in the mid 80's. It was a strong category 1 but I remember 2004 being pretty bad even with just tropical storms. We are keeping an eye on Dean.

No, I didn't get to go to the RT this year. Did you? No one around here that I know has heard of Cathe. I have loaned some of my dvds to some of my friends but most think she is too hard!!

I agree that Cathe's workouts are a challenge for sure, but that's what is so cool about them/her. I will talk about her and show clips of her workouts to anyone that will let me :D

I started watching Dean this morning. I'm NOT looking forward to it if he decides to come this way. My company provides mental health/substance abuse/behavioral services to juvenile delinquints all over Florida and the programs have to be staffed 24 hrs per day....even during a hurricane. Of course, being a therapist, I have the option of coming in to assist or staying home but most people evacuate, though I've never have. I remember when hurricanes used to be cool because you'd get a day off from school......not so much anymore.

I didn't try to go on the RT this year, mainly because of reasons I posted in my thread "how do ya'll do it?" I am definitely going to try for next year though. It seems to goo to pass up.
