I just signed on for it b/c (being single & childless) I pretty much eat on the fly & am hitting a grocery store or restaurant almost every day. So I'm gonna try & actually go grocery shopping once a week & maybe even.....dare I say it....COOK! Very scary thought LOL.

Anyway, just wondering if there are any other opinions out there......like it? Hate it? Waste of money? Quality of life enhancer? Anything?

I tried it for about a week, but didn't have time to plan and cook all my meals like that. The list is so detailed it just seemed like so much work but if I had the time, I think it would be a great plan.

I have never tried it but viewed the website a lot out of curiosity. If funds were not an issue and I had more to lose, I may have tried it. I think it is a great idea!

I do have one suggestion, how about trying to eat out less? A lot less? I think that would help so much. I think getting into a routine of cooking at home more and experimenting with new recipes would be a lot of fun for you. If you do not have a spouse or child, that is the perfect time to play around with experimenting since you don't have to consider what everyone elses tastes are.

Let us know how you like it! I love reviews of this kind of stuff. Then you can give us tips and fun (easy) recipes!

That is exactly the problem. I have no problem sticking to a diet, my problem is finding the time to cook, AND being inspired enough to do it just for myself. Some people really enjoy cooking & do it for fun, but I am definitely not one of those people. I spend so much money on take out or prepared foods from the gourmet grocery store, & I just know there's got to be a better, cheaper way.

I will definitely share w/you guys. I did, of course, choose the low carb diet so be prepared........:p

I tried ediets. I chose the Zone Perfect plan, and have to say, I'm pleased with the recipes I was given. They focus on lots of vegetables and are fairly quick to prepare. However, there are two things I don't like: firstly, the colorie intake in only 1200 per day ( I suppose that is how they promise you'll loose X number of pounds in six weeks! Also, this was a different calorie amount than the Zone Perfect website calculated for me, based on my exercise levels, etc.). Working out 6 days a week, sometimes for an hour +, this made me sooo tired that my workouts suffered. I was dragging out of bed in the mornings. Secondly, they emphasize your weight, rather than inches lost, etc. Though I saw lots of inches go, my weight only dropped about six pounds-- it's discouraging to check in weekly and have a computer suggest that you try harder when you work out 6 dw! I still use many of the recipes, but don't use the site any more. I like my tape measure better than their scale:)

I'm a member ediets. While I'm not following the plan right now, I have found it very managable. I seem to like the actual ediets plan the best. You can change from plan to plan to see which best suits you. I have always came back to the original plan because of variety. When I did stick to the plan, it was working and I was losing 1-2 pounds per week. I'm actually starting back on the plan the best I can this week, but I need to print out my shopping list and do some shopping. I found the meals very easy to prepare and I definitely am not a very good cook. I normally use the convenience plan which gives you recipes for breakfast and supper and a frozen dinner for lunch.
