Anyone use Paperbackswap.com?

I know a lot of people post about books, so I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of this site. I LOVE it - it fuels my reading habit and I only pay the cost of shipping a book in return. They don't have EVERYTHING, but they do have most books (not like swap-a-dvd). I've had only good experiences with this. I'm currently reading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon - and I'm really enjoying it.

I love paperback swap! No, they don't have everything - but they have alot! It is so much fun getting new books in the mail.:) I have to slow myself down because I have a pile of books to read but I just can't seem to stay away from the site. :D

Enjoy everybody.:)

Thanks for sharing that site. I use goodreads.com to tract the books I've read and the books I WANT to read (yeah, my list is like 50 books long and growing). I LOVE BOOKS!

THANKS!

Gayle

Okay, I have to throw in a plug for your local public library. I know, it's not as convenient as getting books in the mail and they don't have everything, either, but please don't forget about them! I'm a librarian, so feel the need to remind folks of that option. And, it's great to see how many here love to read!

I'm with Anne (and a I am a corporate librarian). Why would you pay shipping for books when your tax dollars already fund your library? If there are books your library lacks let them know. I know at my public library they are very responsive to requests for titles and the person who requests the title gets first dibs. Most libraries also have interlibrary loan access so even if you can't find it at your library they can get it for you with no charge to you. I know many public libraries are quite good at readers advisory can serve as a great resource for finding out what to read next. Forgive me but i drives me nuts to see people chronically overlooking the library as a resource, not only for fun readings materials and such but also a great place to get credible answers to questions that people post to forums or read on the "internets." And for the record, not everyone who works in a library is a librarian.

I love paperbackswap.com! I also love my local library. There is a place in my house for books from both places. I generally use paperbackswap more though because my to be read pile is very large and I never know what I want to read next, so I like getting them in my mailbox and sending them out when I'm done...or if I want to keep it, I can!! Also the credits are transferrable to swapadvd.com which I use quite often as well.

I'm a big fan of paperbackswap as well, though I do use the public library too. However, I like to hang on to books FOREVER sometimes before I get around to reading them. And I have my own little library at home, so I actually enjoy owning and displaying books that are mine. So paperbackswap is great for that.

I tend to use the public library less for popular fiction and literature and more for research I need to do for grad school. :D
