Anyone take a Power Nap?

You are talking to the queen of Power Naps!!! As my day progresses I try to figure out when I will fit in my nap.:) And its all out of HABIT!
Lori:)

LOL:) Me too. As long as my nap lasts 2 hours then I can wake up refreshed. Otherwise I am more tired.

>Oh jeez I just can't--I usually wake up feeling sleepier than
>before the nap.

I don't nap for this reason.

Yes - I can be the queen of power naps too. Especially recently - with working out a lot. I going tanning once a week on my lunch break - and that 20 minutes can be exactly what I need somedays. Sometimes it takes me a bit to wake up all the way from one after work - but it helps with my evening workouts if I get 30 min in....

I love a good nap. This is not a practice that should be limited to K and 1st graders! All businesses should close for nap time!

It depends on the day. If I am teaching, I try to workout when I would nap so I can fall asleep at night. On weekends, if I do something like Bootcamp or Bodymax, I feel fatigued in the afternoon, I will take a nappie-poo!;)

YEAH, BABY!
I am the Queen of power naps!
I needed lots of power naps when I was doing P90X, especially the first 3 weeks.
I'm hoping the Hardcore series will have the same effect!

I've never understood how people could "take a 15-minute nap." 15 minutes? Mine are usually an hour long (or more, on weekends!).

I power nap. It used to be that in order to sleep I had to have the right level of darkness, straight sheets, perfect quietness and about an hour. Now in order to nap all I need is to have air in the room! 15 mins gets me through the day!

Only if I sit down and are able to relax. Like today, as I was waiting for my son to come home from school to go running together, I sat down and watched a Jeassica Fletcher rerun. I fell asleep and had a 20min. nap till he got home. I felt totally energised after.

See...I just had one!:) I napped for 40 min which is good for me.I can take 15 min naps and get up and go as well.I love the fact that I can fall asleep whenever.I pity people who toss and turn alnight, must be horrible.
I am not sure who posted about the tanning, but I use to do that as well.If we were going out on a Sat night and I worked all day, I would get a tanning appt for after work, I would fall asleep for 15 min and then I would go home and workout:)
Im glad alot of other people do it, I thought I was getting lazy.
Lori:)

I take them every once in awhile, just fifteen to twenty min does me good. The kind where you are not quite all the way asleep and can here what's going on around you. It always gets me going ,as I am not a night person, but a morning person! :)

I wish I could. My 4-year-old no longer naps, and I spend most of the afternoon playing with him, chasing him around, feeding him, or worse... scolding him for things he knows he shouldn't do but does anyway. So I take the coffee route, which is not advisable when I'm having a bad day since it only makes me crabbier. I do go to bed early when all these workouts tire me out.

>I don't get that "power" stuff. Isn't a nap a nap, no matter
>how you slice it??????!!!!!!!

Not if you're an overachiever!:)
