Anyone start Meso3 yet?

I just put the plates in the backpack and put it on . Then I lean over and get the BB and over the head it goes. I have the backpack adjusted so it doesn't move around. It is a child size. It does have a buckle on the front chest area. You can use any weight you want in it and on your BB. Try lighter weights first and see how it goes until you get it adjusted right..I fooled around with it for quite a while. Peggy

Here's another idea that some folks in our VF STS check-in are using: ankle weights strapped around your waist.

For example, you can find 20 lb. (2 10lb) ankle weight sets at Wal-Mart for $20 ($19.98) (they also have 10 lb. sets (2 5lb). Either set adjusts by 1 lb increments. You can strap them together around your waist to make a weight belt to add weight (esp. for legs) without having to lift it overhead. Of course the other option is a weight vest. :)

Hope that helps!

P.S. Anything that is $1 per pound or less is a good deal these days!

After I re-ded my 1RM, I'm finding that I like meso 3 much more. I alternate between the plyo legs and the squat rack legs. I was very surprised how much weight I have to use in order to fatigue my muscles after 8 reps and "earn" the longer rests. Thank you for the backpack idea - otherwise I wouldn't be able to use the weight I need.

As for upper body, I had to increase my weights significantly there also. Now I appreciate the long rests. One thing I think I'll do at some point (after I've finished the meso as it's meant to be done) is use a little lighter weights for the upper body, then during the rest periods, alternate between heavy deadlifts and squats.

oooh oooh, anyone remember horshack? i am tellin' my age. :) anyway, i ned to find my backpack so i will be ready for my heavy legs on tuesday. i jut started today and did disc 25. i liked it. had to go a bit heavier on some of the weights than was on my workout card. i will probably not have that problem on the legs. i almost passed out when i saw how heavy the weight is.
