Anyone see The Wave infomercial?

I haven't done a Firm workout in a few years, but since I'm such an infomercial junkie, I came really close to ordering this. Has anyone been tempted? Or has anyone heard/read reviews?

There are some reviews on the weight watchers boards, not finding anything too detailed yet, looks like this is a pretty new product. I'm not a firm person myself, but this looks like a good core workout with all the balancing.

I have seen reviews from users over on the Video Fitness boards. They all seem to agree that while it does give a good workout, there is the possibility of injury. More importantly for us video exercisers, there is concern that it will be set to the side like other Firm products (TransFirmer, Fanny Lifter, Sculpting Stick...).

I just saw the Wave infomercial this a.m and felt the same. I haven't done a Firm w/o in years and all of a sudden I felt like ordering it! I just thought get a grip. Then I considered doing one of the transfirmer w/o's but stuck to following Cathe's Nov rotation. What was it about that infomercial?

I saw 2 minutes of The Firm informerical, there are clips on YouTube. I had the opportunity to try 2 Wave classes at The Firm in Lexington. I enjoyed the workout. It really works my legs and core. If you can afford to purchase go for it. Firm Yayas and VF both have reviews on the Wave as well.

That's my big beef. I have to say, though, I've been pulling out all my old workouts (doing quite a bit of The Firm, actually) and have been sore as heck. Seeing a lot of tightening in my quads, too. Like everything else, you just can't stick with one type of thing. I thought I was done with The Firm but integrating it in with Cathe, Karen Voigt(!), BOSU, Pilates... everything I can get my hands on, is actually working for me so much better than just being loyal to only one... method or instructor. But I remember being so irritated with the constant workouts geared around pushing their latest device.

Much of the complaint about TheWAVE is the lack of value for your money. The workouts are short and you only get two true workouts unless you order the deluxe kit and then you get a third (I believe I'm right about those numbers, but if someone knows differently, feel free to correct me). The third DVD you get with the basic package is a "learn the moves" ones. The workouts are about 45 minutes and the cost is quite high when you consider what you're getting.

People who have ordered and post seem to like the workouts quite well, for the most part, but are already clamoring for new workouts to go along with it.
