WELL NO I SHOT UP TO 120 AND I DO NOTICE MORE MUSCLE BUT I AM NOT HAPPY ... PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO... ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOMED. I CANT GET RID OF THIS WEIGHT NOW

THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE IN ADVANCE

If you think it is the extra protein, cut it out. But also have you been lifting with Pure Strength or Slow N Heavy? These 2 with the added protein could be where the culprit is so to speak.

Make sure to drink plenty of water.

Yes, when I did that -- had more protein, less carbs and worked out up to 6 days a week -- I did notice SOME weight gain. But my clothes fit fine.

Do your clothes still fit you? If so, you probably gained a lot of muscle, which is great. Nevertheless, if you're unhappy, try tweaking your diet AND your routine. Maybe your body needs more carbs than you realize. Have you been lifting very heavy for a long time now? Switch to circuit workouts that incorporate weights with cardio. These really lean me out.

Hope this helps.

I, personally don't worry about weight on the scales. It means lean muscle and muscle is VERY SMALL, meaning it looks better--you will look smaller and probably wear a smaller size.

Personal experience:

At 105#, I wore a size 8-10, and had saddlebags, a tummy pouch, and a roll of fat above the glutes.

After weight lifting and cleaner eating, I weighed 117# BUT was a size 4-6, had no more rolls, pouches, or saddlebags--I was tight and TINY. WAY tinier than before.

I wouldn't go by the scale for fitness measurement. Go by clothing and your mirror. JMHO.

If you add protein without decreasing carbs or fat, your caloric intake will go up and you will gain weight. It's not the protein per se, it's the extra calories. Decrease your fat intake to balance your caloric intake. Fat has 9 calories per gram, carbs and protein have 4. I eat about 60% carbs, 15 protein, 25 fat. If I were to increase my protein to, say, 20% of my overall caloric intake, I would lower my fat intake to 20% or my carb intake to 55 so that my caloric intake doesn't increase.
