Anyone know of a teen support hotline number I can call tonight?

I've been searching the web for a teen support hotline and all the numbers I've found either are incorrect or there's no one there to answer. My niece is going through quite a horrible family situation and I need to talk with someone to help me help her and also to help myself cope, which is very challenging because of health issues I'm currently experiencing. I've said many prayers but can't seem to get it out of my head and it's been consuming me the entire day with no signs of stopping in sight. I'm at a loss.

Sorry no one was able to help you. I truly hope you are able to find a way to help your niece. My thought is to contact her guidance counselor at school. Not only could your neice talk to her counselor but I'll bet the counselor could point you in the direction of further help.

If you still have a paper phone book, ours lists all kinds of hotlines in the front.

The local hospital or police station might know, too.

If you have health insurance, they should be able to direct you to a good social worker or teen help line. You could also try your family doctor for a recommendation

I get mailer for a charity called Boy's Town(I don't think it's just for boys any more). You might do a search on that and see what they have to offer. Hugs and prayers to you and your niece.

Thanks so much ladies for your support and suggestions. I can't reach my niece today. I'm sure my sister isn't letting any of the kids pick up my calls. I don't live right around the corner from them or else I'd be over there. I can deal with adults who choose to continue exhibiting hurtful behavior if it only affects them but when children are involved, it's an entirely different story especially for someone like me who absorbs it all. I just wish I could care and do what I need to do without it affecting my health the way it does.

Update: I just spoke with my niece. Things are stable at the moment but, of course, that could change. I will do what I'm capable of doing to help as I am able. Plain and simple, it sucks when you're witness to things that you are almost helpless to change and you know there can be some detrimental long lasting effects.
