I've been sharing my journal with a few faithful journal buds for the past 4 years, and I really enjoy it. This is such a great group of health-minded women I thought I'd see there were any journalers here, or if someone might like to try it. Here's a sample of journal...
OOooOOOOooo, Friday the 13th!! *shriek* LOL Did anything freaky happen to you today? Nothing happened to me, thank goodness! ;-)
I can't wrap my brain around the fact that it's mid-October. Where did the summer go? Ahhh yes, the wedding. And the baby. It just doesn't feel like it should be October yet, though. Does this mean I'm getting old? I sure hope not!! lol
A fairly uneventful, but good and productive, day for me. I got a bunch of laundry done, cleaned the house up some, did a workout (more on that in a second), came to work, and got paid for being my boss's friend this evening. lol She's leaving early in the morning for a day trip with her boyfriend and since it's such a long drive for me and they're leaving so early we agreed that I would "work" tonight. She bought dinner and we watched a movie together in between chatting. It was neat to have a mini-girls' night. I have missed having in-person friends....
I wasn't sure how a workout would work into my day, but I forced my time to cooperate. I really wanted to do a Cathe workout. I'm tired of not working out. I did an easier one- Low Impact Step, the condensed no intensity blast version. It felt really good, and I had fun. I wore my new shoes, a pair I had bought before the wedding but hadn't had a chance to use yet. They are awesome!! Sooo cushiony and supportive. Yay!
Eats today were alright. I was tempted to snack while we watched the movie, but my boss was a good influence on me. She's been losing weight and has learned the brush your teeth after dinner trick to avoid mindless/useless evening snacking. I didn't brush my teeth, but somehow knowing that her's were freshly brushed was enough to keep me from munching. lol I ended up eating an apple around 10pm and really enjoyed the crunch and juiciness.
Bfast: oatmeal, half a banana, flaxseeds, couple of splashes of plain soymilk
Snack: 1/2 banana, Roasted Almond Crunch Kashi bar
Lunch: tuna salad with light mayo on ww bread, 100 calorie snack pack of SunChips
Dinner: 2 pieces fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, watered down sweet tea
Snack: apple (not the Honey Crisp, because I forgot to grab it before I left home, arg!!)
Time for bed...hope your weekend's are off to a relaxing start.
