Hi!

I have been posting mostly on the pregnancy part of this forum but I had my baby 2 weeks ago (a healthy boy :) ) and I am starting to think about getting back into shape. When I say back into shape I mean the shape I was in 7 years ago when I got married, the shape I was in 3 kids ago.

I weighed 135 when I got married (I'm 5'7) and was really happy at that weight. But I gained 15 lbs after getting married, then put on 65 with each of my first 2 pregnancies, never lost it all, and gained 57 lbs this third pregnancy. Now I have a really happy marriage and 3 wonderful kids to show for it BUT I am totally miserable with what damage I have done to my body. I discovered Cathe after my second child and was losing weight when I got pregant.

Bottom line, I have 95 lbs to lose to get to 135. I have already lost 25 lbs since having my baby 17 days ago. I am going to start walking tommorow. My DR. said walking was fine after 2 weeks but not to start doing step aerobics until 6 weeks post partum so I have another 4 weeks until I can do that.

Does anyone else have a LOT of weight to lose?? I would love to have a weight loss buddy with a similar amount to lose. My plan is going to be to keep a food journal and count calories and do cardio 3-5 days a week. I'll add weights later but for now, just to get in cardio will be a good start. My kids are 3,5 and 2 weeks so with my sleep deprived life, even 3 days will be a big accomplishment!!

Hi Amy Nicole,

Check out this site ... [link:getting2goal.com/index.php|Getting2Goal]

There is a forum there where they have a lot of people there who need to loose weight. That way you can talk about the normal emotional things that happen with weight loss and come here to talk fitness. I've been going there for over a year or so. It's a very nice place and Kim came through a lot. Read her site, I think you'll find it very helpful and inspirational. You may even see me there too as a success story. She has a wonderful way of defining success.

Check it out.

Just a suggestion.

Keta. :D
